    Drummer Kenny Washington was a young hard-bop revivalist in the late 1970s, and since then he has built an impressive discography as a prolific freelancer and session player. Brooklyn born, he brings a tremendous knowledge of jazz history, some from his personal experience playing with legends like Lee Konitz, Betty Carter, Dizzy Gillespie and Clark Terry.
