Brand new (kinda) to full time RV living. I am stationary as I am parked behind my best friend's house in Mississippi. Sold my 3 bedroom home in TN and moved here a year ago. Bought a 40 foot 5th Wheel and it has become my home. :)
Wow!! I thought moving from a two bedroom apartment to a 40ft fifth wheel was tough, but from a 3-bedroom HOUSE?? That's some serious ninja downsizing skills! I'd love to hear about any tips or tricks you might have for making that happen. 😊 And, honestly, one of the hardest parts about being out here is being physically alone, so having your BFF right there must be really amazing!! I'm wishing you all the luck and if there's anything specific you'd like to hear from me, please don't hesitate to let me know. This channel is for anyone living the RV lifestyle, whether they're traveling, or not. 🩷
@LiveHeartAndHome I'm in a similar situation as you... As a single dad, I raised my son, and now that he is on his own I'm deciding what to buy to full-time rv. My son and I raced dirtbikes, so I had a few 5th wheel toyhaulers throughout the years. I often think about the same things you speak of, such as solo traveling and feel that will be my biggest struggle. I'm interested in hearing how you decide where, when and how you're going to travel. I'm a finance guy (trade equities) and want to have an office in my rv to manage my retirement. I'm trying to follow the right utubers to compile as much information as possible. I'm a research geek! LOL
First... congratulations on your son being on his own, and making it!! I know first hand, that is a HUGE feat in it's own right!!! 😊. And, second... racing dirtbikes? That's awesome!!! I had a road bike (Yamaha FZ) for a few years, and that was scary enough for me! Riding over a small dirt pile made my hands sweat! LOL! I love that you're a research geek!! I'm the exact opposite... I just dive in head first and learn along the way.... hmmm... maybe I should reconsider that option every once in a while?? 😂 And, yes... a video on travel planning is a great idea. That is actually the one area I've learned that doing some research and planning in the beginning is 1000% necessary! I have no doubt you'd be great at that part. 😉 The solo aspect can be a struggle sometimes, but my absolute most important reason to keep moving forward, taking chances and living this amazing dream lifestyle? It might be a little cliché, but it's to show my daughter that dreams are meant to be chased and that we can do absolutely anything we put our minds to as long as we have faith in ourselves. I am very grateful to have you sharing this journey with me, and everyone else coming along for the ride. I have no doubt that we can teach each other a lot along the way!! 😊
Absolutely... thank you for watching! LOL... there is soooo much I've learned over the last year that I really want to share. I never imagined that this lifestyle would come with so many stories! It amazes me every day! 😊
