Forest music from DK3 in pristine studio quality. This was made possible by locating the sounds from workstation keyboards and drum machines such as the Korg Wavestation, Roland S770, and Roland R8, and plugging them into the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing magic to create might have sounded like with the veil of 16bit compression lifted. I love how wispy, mysterious, and foreboding this track is. The forests of the Northern Kremisphere aren't as friendly as those on DK Island.
DKC3 captured moods so well.
I could never understand why the treetop theme was so dark sounding in this game. Then I discovered that dk3 is themed after the industrial revolution…

Yep, the waters being contaminated, forests being leveled down, inhumane factories, etc.
The only ligh hearted part of the game were parts of nature where industries couldn't put it's hand, like the mountains, the snow areas and the docks
Yes. The king and queen bees from the first two DKC games were killed off, so now the bees are mechanical.

Goes to show how iconic that level is. It's almost impossible, if you've played the game, not to mentally add the saw's noise when hearing that music.

This is so good, i can even hear the sounds of the mice, barrels breaking and bananas being collected lol

This one is 100%. Perfect.
Not 100%. I'd say 95% or higher, but not 100%. What prevents it from being 100%, is the part from 1:13.
Sam has it loop from 0:00 to 1:13, but the actual version loops from 0:18 to 1:31.
The part from 0:00 to 0:18 and the part from 1:13 to 1:31 is different as the tambourine and marimba doesn't play. This also applies to every loop after that.

i like how people talk about the saw.. but i can just hear the monkies in repetition throwing those rocks or acorns and the sounds of the rats. lol and the random alligator dudes going OOUUGH! when they get hit. and those chainsaw wasps...

soundtrack in dkc 3 was definitely weak overall but this is one of the few solid tracks from the game.
