Never give up, God only tests the strong ones.
It really struck me in this video how Scotty has really come into his own on camera; it's been a treat to watch all of you evolve over the years. Keep it up fellas, my favorite videographical delicacy to date!
My point was more about the fact that it doesn't have any trick geometry that things like the new Type R has to deal with that stupid level of torque steer.
I was a teenager of the 90's and a big car guy from about 10 on and I'm not really into this scene (and wasn't back then, I'm a Euro/VW watter-boxer and Toyota 4wd guy) but... I lost my Dad and best mechanic partner to Brain cancer about 3 years ago now and this car makes me happy. After seeing the magazine article vid it just makes me smile to see this fater/son project coming back to life. Good on ya guys, this warms the heart even if it makes me miss my Dad heaps. well these are cars, not horses that we are measuring. Will be a much easier unit of measurement when all cars are electric too. It's also an Australian youtube channel. If you want hp, go watch American stuff.
A friendly advise: that fire extinguisher is foam. It's rated for fires that are caused by liquids i.e. gas, diesel, etc. But, it damages electric circuits. I recommend getting a co2 fire extinguisher along side the foam one for it can also extinguish liquids but you gonna use alot of it and won't damage electric circuits. Also never extinguish liquid fires with water because it can spread the fire by displacing the burning liquid or getting sprayed all over the place.
So to calculate in comparison to Dynojet, multiply the kw times 1.36, then multiply times 1.17 So 223wkw = 300whp = 351whp (on Dynojet) which if you calculate a 15% driveline loss means 2WISTD is making a healthy 412hp at the crank
Its probably more like 340HP at the crank because I expect the dyno figures are corrected to compensate for the fact that it is a load bearing dyno. Like pretty much every load bearing dyno.
Fun Fact: That segment was shot AFTER the dyno run, with some clever post editing that clip was put first before the dyno run making it seem he had a close guess and donation to charity.

The wires are hot for battery because they are not proper battery cables they can’t handle the voltage and amperage and load that those run. You need much thicker gauge thicker stranded battery cable for both positive and negative
especially when starting the car. runnning wont be a problem. but starting will smoke these cables. pulling 100 amps+ at 10V creates huge resistance heat indeed.

Actually, I have a Evo3 rally car and the plug connector jumping out are really common for these cars at this age. The stock turbo has alot more to give but its waste as its fwd better to keep it where its at.
I started out certain that it will explode. By the end of the video I desperately didn't want it to. That little car went through so much, it deserves a win.

Actually, I have a Evo3 rally car and the plug connector jumping out are really common for these cars at this age. The stock turbo has alot more to give but its waste as its fwd better to keep it where its at.
