This is so awesome!!! Ralph Scheepers has always been a phenomenal singer. He is one of the very few lead singers that has not lost this power throughout the years. In my opinion he is a better singer now than he was 35 years ago. The band here also sounds very good. The talent was definitely there, but I guess that they never got their big break. I love everything that Ralph Scheepers has done, especially the first three studio albums with Gamma Ray and everything that Primal Fear has done big time. I always thought that Judas Priest made a huge mistake not getting Ralph to replace Rob Halford back in the mid 90's. I do like Tim Owens as a singer, but in my opinion Ralph is better and he already had songwriting experience. Primal Fear would not exist if he did get the Judas Priest job, and I am very glad that we did get Primal Fear because they are one of my all time favorite bands ever. They have been extremely consistent at putting out many amazing albums. They have put out 13 studio albums since 1998 which is extremely rare for any band in the past 22 years. The only band I can think of that is close to being as consistent is U.D.O. They usually always put out a new studio album every two years which is also rare for most bands.
Great 80's footage of Ralf. Can't be too much of this floating around. On mute, there's pretty much no way to recognize him, but the minute you hear the voice, you know it. Legend.
Interesting to note that (if I remember correctly), this lineup features what had briefly been half of an early Sinner lineup- namely Calo Rapallo and Edgar Patrik.
Kai Hansen invited to join the helloween but he preferred to stay in this band .Kai then called a boy of 18 years named Michael Kiske and the rest is history.
Correct ralph filled in on vocals the last 2 weeks of the walls of Jericho tour because kais voice was worn out from 2 years of touring straight after that kai asked Ralph if he would join helloween but Ralph turned kai down because tyran pace had just recorded their 3rd and final album. And tyran pace was Ralph's band and he wanted to see it through only for tyran pace to break up in late 1987. Imagine if Ralph had accepted kai and helloweens offer back in 1986 how much better the vocals would have been on both keepers albums had Ralph accepted considering all the issues kai and helloween had later, including most of the songs from helloweens first 2 albums bieng dropped. And considering on gamma rays debut Ralph sang 4 keepers songs that were left over including heading for tommorow which was supposed to close keepers 2. That's why I always say could you picture micheal kiske in 1989. Singing lust for life. Heaven can wait The silence And heading for tommorow and singing it as well and as powerfully as Ralph did. Because I cant.
Hahaha, OMG I wonder what he thinks when he sees this now that he's so handsome, lol :-P. You're right anyway, fantastic singer and incredible voice. Great drummer as well
One of the Best singers very underrated Ralph rules
Que raridade 🤘

I totally agree with everything you said here. U.D.O. are fantastic!!

It's amazing how Ralf sounds exactly the same as he does now back then, one of the few metal singers to keep his voice intact.
He sounds way better now very experienced and seasoned. He was very young on this one.
I would rather listening him clear sound like back then ...now he lost a bit of power just like rob halford
@@Celestialspirit1 He has refined his vocal technique but mostly improved his scene costumes :)
O cara canta com a mesma voz, sem perdas há 40 anos, impressionante!
Sem perdas? Menos amigo....rs
Canta muito mas com uma voz envelhecida
