i was visiting Russia when this test happenned, they also interrupted all tv and radio shows with the special message.

Is test tone different from actual alarm? Here in Czech Republic test tone is one long sound without stopping. It's weird to hear that they test with actual alarm sound.

I've noticed that when the camera swing around and take a view of the city as the sirens go of I noticed that there are a lot of domed copper-colored buildings in the far-back round are there was by chance historic cathedrals?
I never was in Saint Petersburg, but I think those are, if we compare them to the ones we have here in Moscow.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about exactly, but I’m pretty sure those are orthodox churches and they’re usually covered in gold, not copper.
They’re pretty common in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and probably some neighbouring countries too.
