In this video, ZAN breaks down how to get more stop with the best defense to play in Madden 24. This is arguably one of the best ways to have corner route defense in the game. You'll be able to base out of this vs. Bunch formations, Trips formations, and Tight formations, as well.

Route KO abilities are so broken. The way you can be beating the defender, make the catch with 2 steps and a football move and then a route ko guy breathes on you and you drop the ball with no animation.

Can you do a vid on your team? I got a 60/60 playoffs. But not opposed to just going for best available players at expense of theme team
@zan You would be who I would consider a leading expert on Match / Seam coverage. I want to talk to you about something I’ve noticed regarding Seam/Qtr Flats on default vs Match. How can we link up to discuss? Would love to see your thoughts and discourse around how match coverage inside of the play responds differently on default and match.
20+ year madden vet. This isn’t a small nuance in my opinion. Just so you know I’m bringing a tenured view point.
I need to work on shuffling my AP on defense
Having two KOs can allow you to move them around based on coverage and what zone you need to impact their corner. Definitely don't use guys in positions where their ability can't impact the play you called. Shuffle them around

I know you have loved you some avalanche bing bongs. What are your thoughts on Stam being back. It is what it is but I was cool w it off.
I ran it yesterday and it was very inconsistent. I was one for about six on hitstivla actually getting the ball out. The defense is also not very good at recovering fumbles this year and the O is psychic at diving on loose balls. I would likely go elsewhere with my x factors
What's better for a corner route a outside third or outside quarter. Or do they play the same? Non match.
Outside 1/4. Think of it like this - the less deep sideline they cover, the more likely they'll defend a corner. Base Aligned + Pressed w/ KO ability is your best bet.
How do we know who is a ko defender
If I move my safeties to CB (with abilities mentioned) , who'd be in the safety positions? Backup safeties or CB's (i.e. Bailey and Slay) ?
Use free pick artists or more KOs up there. I just wanted to start with basics here for players (and there's quite a few out there) who are struggling.
I’ve noticed my DZKO doesn’t light up of if I click on and hit swat and I’ve put MZKO on my corners for when we have to Mable a side and it lights up almost every time yet DZKO hardly lights up even if I don’t click on

I run match honesty the best d on the game to me if your user skills are good

What is the best adjustments to make when stopping corner routes in a zone or what is the best defensive play to stop corners?
This coverage from this video with DOKO. Press the outside DBs so they are closer to the LOS and thus will be closer to corners as they break to sideline.
Does deep zone ko work as well?

Hey Zan I Mostly play Cfm and not MUT. With players having less amount of abilities do these schemes still work or will they need major adjustments
I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong no matter what coverage I come out in whether it’s a cover 4 or cover 3 the middle is always open regardless of hook zones being there
U gotta user the middle with your safety sub lb / mlb, you can’t user d lineman that’s just gonna kill your defense
I understand reading defenses, 2 high etc. But when base aligned how can u read it?
You really can't presnap, you have to read post snap based on where/how players move and make decisions quickly. Downside to base is often safety OLB will have to cover 15-20 yards to get to their zones so there are openings

Moderately. I'm not sweating it until they are dark orange.
