+Arx Fortis -- The lowercase word "city" (not part of the official city name) appears only for cities within positions 296-300. Those words could be confusing and should have been removed from the video.
The uppercase word "City" means it is part of the official city name: "Oklahoma City", "Kansas City", "Jersey City", etc.
The official name of the city of New York is "New York", not "New York City".
At census.gov you can find the list of official city names, with the lowercase word "city" appended just to remark that those are cities: factfinder.census.gov/bkmk/table/1.0/en/PEP/2014/PEPANNRSIP.US12A

If you actually read the description and beginning of the video you would see that it said CONTIGUOUS United States, which means the US mainland. Alaska and Hawaii aren't part of the contiguous United States.
They should be included, for this purpose. Otherwise, uneducated people will just assume Anchorage and Honolulu are not in the top 300 cities. Pitiful list.

The thing with California and Texas is that they both have a lot of cities within big cities. All you need in California is a mayor and a 50 people and you have a city and most are near the largest cities or within the largest cities.

This is pretty outdated for northwest cities. Population has been exploding over the last decade. 3 years makes a big difference. It also makes no sense to do it by city population instead of metro population. If you think okc metro is larger than portland metro you'd be insane. Portland metro is 2.4 million compared to portland's just 640,000 or so. Mean while okc's metro is over a full 1 million less people at only 1.3 million despite okc's population itself being close to the same as portland's.

You are right about it should be metro area, not city limits i.e., Miami and Atlanta metro areas are huge compared to city pop, and there are many more examples - many cities have been hemmed in by surrounding town city limits for decades, so it can be very misleading.

Albuquerque is a strange place, out in the middle of nowhere, not much going on. We love Santa Fe, which is very small but has a great food and culture scene.
I live about 45 minutes northwest of Grand Rapids (#121) and it is a very nice place. I recommend it if you are planning a trip up to Michigan.

Utah has been gaining so much population over the past few years. Well, Salt Lake County has, anyway. I’m shocked that Utah didn’t gain an electoral vote for the 2024 and 2028 elections. Salt Lake City appears to be super close to 200,000 people. The other 3 are still over 100,000 but not quite to 200,000 (yet. Lol). There are other cities in Utah that could very well surpass 100,000 very soon. Orem, Ogden, Sandy, Taylorsville and St. George. My hometown is also gaining a crap-ton more people, too. If my knowledge is correct, it has about 55,000-ish people. At the rate it’s growing now, though, I wager my hometown could also end up surpassing 100,000 people before 2030.
