This is a pair of contrasting works I stumbled upon while looking for more repertoire by Séjourné. I picked these up right after TMEA, and it took about a week to put together. Like "A Cricket Sang and Set the Sun", I was waiting for an opportunity to record them! Bee is a great pedagogical piece for those who just started vibraphone studies, while Lila is more of a performance piece with a bit of the typical Séjourné zest we all know and love! These two works pair great together!
Performed on an Adams Soloist 3.1 Oct. Vibraphone.
