Solche Highlights fehlen zwar mittlerweile leider ein wenig, aber die Band hat sich natürlich im Laufe der Zeit weiterentwickelt. Die Komplexität der aktuelleren Scheiben ist deutlich höher, die älteren Einspielungen waren vermutlich einfach unschlagbar. In jedem Fall gebührt der Band eine absolute Sonderstellung in der (internationalen!) Speed/Bombast Metal Szene.

@ArcturiusPendragon Not just that, but also BG using that theme as a stage to explore the concept of being aware of your fate, not liking it, and wanting to change it. Mordred is really good for this as he and Arthur ALMOST made peace but fate conspired that it wasn't to be so. (Or they just had really bad luck)

The darkness of this album(Imaginations)is why it's one of my favourites, personally. Dark power metal? When I was ignorant about power metal I thought that was impossible and the entire genre was flowery and cheesy. Blind Guardian are neither.

hansi singing was the best during this night opera tour...after his voice went to shit...now i guess he is little better...God knows can he return in this shape
OMG He is human 0.0. Their tours are longer now than during Opera Tour and 2 years of touring for singers is a lot. Hansi is 54yo after all. he already in the natural voice decline curve for a man. He is in very good shape now, he always recovers his voice with rest and careful trainning but don't expect crazy vocal showcases at his age during a long tour.
