Yeah, I saw this and thought, “That kind of audio codec isn’t even available beyond a very small subset of Android devices.” 99.9% of the people who buy these cans are just looking for comfortable, noise-cancelling headphones on the airplane or on the morning commute (that have halfway decent sound quality). The number of consumers who are listening listening to these headphones, squinting their eyes and comparing them to lossless codecs on a daily basis is almost vanishingly small. The vast majority of consumers are just streaming Spotify anyway.
Its been 1 year since I am using these Headphones and they are the best in terms of Comfort and Audio, the AAC Codec sounds damm good and Lossless Audio support goes till 96kHz and the audio sounds so lively and good. They sound clear and crisp even when I have used them for gaming but it lacks little bass but thats passable for me, cause bass heavy audio on this sound just about right and Dolby Atmos Support really works daam well. So yes I would highly recommend someone to buy this if they wanna experience BOSE on a budget, however I would also recommend to hold off for another year and buy the new QC Headphones.
@abineshsaravanan3485 Apparently Verizon had a 75% off sale last week. These were included in the sale. The original price was around $330-$340. The sale or promo code "gifts75off" knocked them down to $82. I immediately stopped what I was doing after ordering and went directly to the store and got them. In case they changed their minds 😏. Rumor has it the code still works on some devices too.
@Sayitlikeitis1234 no bullshit or no 🧢. I had posted the link for proof I got on Twitter following a deal tracker but apparently youtube filters out these links 🤷🏽♂️
I think they are awesome headphones, what’s make them really great in my opinion is the adaptive EQ which make them sound awesome at low volume with rich bass and highs , mids very clear , I think they are great headphones for all time . Also the ANC and transparency mode work great too . You never go wrong with the Bose QC45
I’ve tried every headphone on the market and my #1 favorite is the quietcomfort 2023 model. The 45’s are similar but you get the latest model with the 2023’s. Sound from these are amazing and they are extremely comfortable. I agree touch controls suck.
yes. they really do mean "quietcomfort". the ANC of the qc45 was just as good than the xm5s i had and the comfort was FAR superior. the reason why i let go of the xm5 was that the earcups were too shallow and i found the clamping force to be too much. i also got it for just $170 so it was a no brainer for me to just get them and I've enjoyed these the most because i can actually wear them for hours without getting super uncomfortable.
i was wondering why they were giving a huge discount on the QC45 if you traded in their old products. it's safe to say QC45 was a bust compared to the QC35ii.
I will not buy headphones that have touch controls, Also I don't care for head tracking, auto power on functions or even how amazing the Noise cancelling is. all these things are just gimmicky distractions and frustrations for me, just give me the latest bluetooth, great sound quality, an excellent battery life, and a standard 3.5mm wired connection, Job done.
I’m surprised the new QC45. Headphones (not the Ultra), still have Bluetooth 5.1, as well as the same 24 hour battery life. Makes the qc45 model sound like a good deal maybe.
Please show equalizer settings in the Bose app. On your website you tell about 3-20kHz settings. But in Bose app with the latest firmware update (4.0.4) I see only 3 settings: Bass, Mid and Treble. Each set to 0 by default and can be adjusted in range +10 to -10. Can you please give your preferred “perfect” setting for QC45? Thanks
@@AntonDanilchenko Yep I'm currently using these with a very minor bump in the bass (-3) and am pretty satisfied for now! Just bought the headphones and will probably be messing around with it more as I listen to more music, but it's much better than the default settings
I use QC45 because they are 10/10 for Comfort and 10/10 Noise cancel. Audio is 8.5 /10 But you are buying these for ANC and Comfort with Decent audio quality
You can find our recommended EQ settings in the Sound Quality section of our Bose QC 45 review: www.soundguys.com/bose-quietcomfort-45-review-60657/ Happy listening! :D
I can get these for 299 ( Canadian ) 218 ( US )...thats for sure a great deal right ?...should i be picking up a pair ? great review by the way....cheers from Canada
Honestly i love my QC SE(basically a qc5 but cheaper and at Sam's/costco only and with a cheaper carry pouch) but i got it for $199 last year so idc its great it'll last me till the next gen and then I'll upgrade
Better to buy QC25 And run it through a quality bluetooth adapter/amp. You will have a massive increase in sound quality and a huge drop in price. $40. And it even has a replaceable AAA battery, for longitivity and convenience. QC25 is the real upgrade, and many people miss that point.
I feel like bose scammed us with Qc 45 where they launched qc45 with no option to change NC level where QC35 had it and the new QC has just software features which can be given to the qc45s or replace the QC45s with the new one if the software is impossible to update.
And where is your custom EQ in the review? How are we supposed to know how much to turn up or down what in the EQ in the app? Showing us a chart of the results of your custom EQ helps with nothing if we don’t know exactly the EQ settings you applied. Thanks for nothing.
I’ve used these for several months, and I wouldn’t recommend these for the mediocre sound quality. They sound muddy compared to wired headphones or speakers.
Thumbs down, this is such a weird video. First you admit that LE audio is not more common yet you blast the product for not being ready for it? When do you presume that it will then? And then you have a problem spending $8 for a dongle after spending $300+USD?absolutely bizarre video lol

These have been on my wish list for 2 years, yesterday I finally got them. They were on sale 😅… I’m soooo happy with them
I like how the first detriment is that it doesn't have a feature that's not widely compatible yet. Audiophiles kill me.

You are spot on the EQ. Without adjustment voice calls sound too sharp.
I just bought the Bose QC 45 because they’re the best for all around sound and great long term comfort 🙂
What did you pay in dollars?
@ I think it was around $250
My LG V60 has its own DAC and 3.5mm jack. Works for me.
Thanks for a great video Sir
I think they are brilliant. They are light, the sound is good and are good enough for what I use them for.
I just picked these up from Verizon for $80. I’m in love with them, and they are my new gym headphones.
Wait how?

I agree, except I do care about noise canceling
Agreed.
And how about comfort?
Noise cancelling is a priority.
Noise cancellation isn't a gimmick. It's literally called QUIETcomfort for a reason.

I'm thinking the same, I bought it for £209 in Amazon a few days ag. The new one is going for £349, don't think it's worth the upgrade
Yeah i just picked up refurbished QC 45 from bose canada for 250 + Tax (CAD)
8 years with them best headphones i ever had
