I’m a little confused on what type of Plesiosaur this is. The narrator calls it an Elasmosaur, but the title refers to it as a Kawacetes. Any clarification?
Kawanectes is an elasmosaurid that lived in brackish waters like estuaries (just like the ones shown here). While neither the documentary nor Darren Naish clarified what species the elasmosaurids on screen belong to, it is most likely Kawanectes (given that the setting of this scene is South America).
