- Ather was founded at IIT Madras. We couldn't have asked for a better environment to found a company that needed us to think from first-principles - both from a design and engineering point of view. As we head towards the launch of the S340, this video is our ode to our beginnings. We would always be grateful to IIT Madras - both for the encouragement and for its continued support through our journey.

I am based in Sydney Australia, if at all you have to market are sell the Ather internationally we need to have charging
station and infrastructure hence my suggestion is ATHER to have compatible charging with the TESLA charging centre
hence TESLA Charging Centre is already established around the world...just a thought!

I have been riding an ather for the past 3 months. It is the best electric scooter in the market at present. The vehicle pickup and acceleration is excellent. The software is user friendly. Kudos to you guys for coming up with a great product. I am sure that ather will move from strength to strength. You guys are an inspiration

Post Revolt launch, Ather should change their pricing strategy for the benefit of their own or else they won't survive in long run.
Agreed they have started something big here, still their long run plans and survival strategy are to be seen.. Starting something is one thing, but maintaining the innovation requires more passion and commitment. Hopefully like Elon they are positioning themselves to enter other disruptive industries and global markets.

I don't know if my message would reach the team or not. But I just wanted to say that Swapnil and Tarun have been my role models whom i look upto when it comes to building hardware projects as a passion. Having interests in energy sector and in hardware, it would be a dream come true for me if the team could help me with any roles for freshers or interns. I am even fine with unpaid internships as long as I get to build something to make an impact in the energy sector.

Its so good that you guys didn't leave the country for high paying jobs and instead innovated something that will help the society. Its costly now but I strongly believe that slowly there will be many subsidies announced by govt to promote EVs. I cannot afford Rs. 123000 now. But the day I can, I will definitely purchase it.

Motor is brush or brush less?
Its a great effort guys but you should have also included battery swapping option to cut off the charging time.

It already has regenerative braking.
All said and done ..yea I agree electric scooter is good...and also on ather (cause I have one ) the suspension is surprisingly too good for a scooter...BUT BUT BUT...after one year....I realise that I was enjoying free pack ..and hence had to choose a pack for which I had to pay ...basically even without pack u can run the scooter anol....but the mobile app integration and free charging won't be included when u dont subscribe to a pack...also servicing features (including OTA updates) are also part of the pack...but I choose not to ..cause anyways the scooter runs ..and electric scooter din't (and won't )need much of maintenance (thru my one year maintenance)...if I subscribed to anyone of their packs...it won't make any difference when u compare the costs with an ICE scooter...so yea .that has been my experience with Ather
NOW ONTO MY OTHER ELECTRIC VEHICLE ..A CAR (TATA NEXON )
This is simply brilliant u buy the car then u can enjoy all the features ..and also there is no cap on updates u receive (like subscribing to a pack in athers case )..also if u r lucky enough and have tata power installed fast charger near you...u can freely consume the electricity to charge ur car 😂😂... anyways when u buy thr car just like ather they also install the home charger at ur place...😂..
Hence , let's see if TATA can penetrate this market of Athers ..

What is the difference between certified range and true range of Ather 450X?? Can anyone answer.
IDC certified range is 116kms (which is ideal testing condition). But our Tru range is 85 kms (that's the practical real world range you'll get)
