From the countries I know, Ecuador offers the easiest and softest access to the Amazon. The Ecuadorean Amazon is in general a safe and peaceful place.
To many, the little port town of Misahuallí is known for its sand beach and tour operators offering jungle tours. But even apart from its official face, Misahuallí has much to offer. As a matter of fact, we regard it as one of the most original and atmospheric places to be found in the whole region.
