The number of folks who think that the horse is bowing their head in some form of greeting is astounding. The horse is most often trying to stretch the reins lose, or is going to throw their head back in a complaint. It shows growing anxiety with the public. The horses looking behind themselves to see if the doors are opened, signaling the end of their shift. Granted, the anxiety is sooo much improved with the no touch rule and the later respect the boundary rule.
