There was a time it worried me that men were scared to approach me, until I met a man who valued me for who I am, when I was told that I was too educated, too strict, too serious, etc for a black man. My good man loves everything about me.
My current season men don't approach and was starting to feel a way until God made it clear his "hiding" is for my protection and would unveil me to my spouse. I've been good ever since.

This is soooo beautiful to hear your continued testimony of abstinence! I had to practice abstinence the last few months of my late husband’s life before he past. It was not hard for me because I knew the purpose snd I also understood that God was preparing me for my season of being a widow. It’s been one year since his death and God has been with me every step of the way. I am also a therapist that deal with many broken people but hearing your story and observing your level of transparency was absolutely amazing. I cried with you as you worshipped and became vulnerable in front of the world! Thank you for your obedience and I pray that God bring you a priceless gift in your purpose mate! Bro it always amazes me how in tune we are. I'll be honest I hadn't watched those abstinence episodes, unconsciously on purpose (though I'm going back today). I think I finally realize why it hadn't been a thought until recently. See I was practicing abstinence for 5 years before I meet my now exwife and the over year and a half we courted. 8 years later we divorced and that was 6 years ago. I think I felt like I abstained the first time and it didn't work so why wait now. But that is a hurt that I release. And I am worth the wait. I love you bro!

As a single woman, mid-30s, striving to live for God, my hope that there are godly men out here who are submitting their flesh to God and not various women is dwindling. I am 31 and have been abstinent for a while. 2021 marks 10 years in my journey. It was a challenge when dating because its somewhat a 'strange' notion in the times we live in. Sex is so casual and its almost always an expectation when you get into relationships.

This blessed my soul after going through a 2nd divorce to the same person. To know I tried so hard to make my marriage work because I'm actually afraid to be single. I've never been single a day in my life it was always a person in my bed as long as I can remember from childhood, then a teenage mother then a husband in my early 20's. This is so challenging. My children are grown and this new normal is just nothing I'm use too. But this podcast helped me get through some tough moments some are hard to listen to with the couples because true love is so beautiful. And it's something I've never felt out of a relationship not even my husband of 23yrs (26 total) but I recently made a mistake and pressed play on these pod cast and all I can say is God I thank you cause needed this so bad. You send someone to address a subject that is laying on my heart I'm low-key weary about. I notice the response/answer is ALWAYS unequivocally " I see you, I got you, I have not forgotten you, I'm protecting you, you are not alone which is letting me know I'm on the right path keep going. I'm so in love with your Honesty and Transparency Laterras. You've grown before your audiences very eyes! I pray you stay on this road less traveled as an "encourager" who is allowing God to show you things not seen with the naked eye. Don't stop Mr Whitfield. Don't stop and don't drop.
When I discovered who I am and began to know my worth and value, it became easier for me to forgive my abusers. I realized the just didn't know. Not an excuse nor a pass for their behavior, but if they knew me truly, they would have handled me differently. I forgive them for their ignorance. And I'm now living my life to the fullest.
When I became a Christian I took a vow of abstinence from my mid 30’s til my early 50’s and my first and only Christian relationship ended in divorce after 6 years. My hurt and disappointment ran so deep, I needed therapy to climb out of the place I was in. What I’ve learned is that God has given us free will and that my celibacy was for God, not for my husband.
This was so on time for me. This was a revelation for me as well. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Seek ye first indeed. Trust God with everything. Can't wait to see what God has in store in my new total obedience walk.
That right there ... The world has told us to do what brings pleasure to us. But Our satisfaction comes when we pleases God. When you seek ye first the Kingdom, that's when we WIN. I'm so Proud of you LaTerras

Not too long ago, I was almost looking for videos and knowledge to help me improve my self esteem. You can guess why I thought I needed this improvement (not like it doesn't have its benefit)...it's really been more about how a relationship turned out. And I was losing perspective about myself, my value and all. Thank you for sharing your experience buying the necklace for your daughter. And the same way your heart prays for less number of couples divorcing is how I pray for young people, including myself to desire to build healthy and lasting relationships rather than normalizing breakups. Good morning from NOLA....❤Coming from healing after divorce, I read somewhere that it takes half the years of the marriage to heal after divorce and that seems about right. I'm going into year 8 of being apart from my ex husband after spending 16yrs together. God truly healed that hole left in my heart and I finally feel ready to date with intentionality again.

This blessed my soul after going through a 2nd divorce to the same person. To know I tried so hard to make my marriage work because I'm actually afraid to be single. I've never been single a day in my life it was always a person in my bed as long as I can remember from childhood, then a teenage mother then a husband in my early 20's. This is so challenging. My children are grown and this new normal is just nothing I'm use too. But this podcast helped me get through some tough moments some are hard to listen to with the couples because true love is so beautiful. And it's something I've never felt out of a relationship not even my husband of 23yrs (26 total) but I recently made a mistake and pressed play on these pod cast and all I can say is God I thank you cause needed this so bad. Thank you so much for your obedience.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. It gives the clarity you spoke of. When you behold him and fall in love with his beauty, you know what to look for. Your values will match. You send someone to address a subject that is laying on my heart I'm low-key weary about. I notice the response/answer is ALWAYS unequivocally " I see you, I got you, I have not forgotten you, I'm protecting you, you are not alone which is letting me know I'm on the right path keep going. When I discovered who I am and began to know my worth and value, it became easier for me to forgive my abusers. I realized the just didn't know. Not an excuse nor a pass for their behavior, but if they knew me truly, they would have handled me differently. I forgive them for their ignorance. And I'm now living my life to the fullest.
When I became a Christian I took a vow of abstinence from my mid 30’s til my early 50’s and my first and only Christian relationship ended in divorce after 6 years. My hurt and disappointment ran so deep, I needed therapy to climb out of the place I was in. What I’ve learned is that God has given us free will and that my celibacy was for God, not for my husband.
This was so on time for me. This was a revelation for me as well. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Seek ye first indeed. Trust God with everything. Can't wait to see what God has in store in my new total obedience walk.

Not too long ago, I was almost looking for videos and knowledge to help me improve my self esteem. You can guess why I thought I needed this improvement (not like it doesn't have its benefit)...it's really been more about how a relationship turned out. And I was losing perspective about myself, my value and all. Thank you for sharing your experience buying the necklace for your daughter.
And the same way your heart prays for less number of couples divorcing is how I pray for young people, including myself to desire to build healthy and lasting relationships rather than normalizing breakups.

Good morning from NOLA....❤Coming from healing after divorce, I read somewhere that it takes half the years of the marriage to heal after divorce and that seems about right. I'm going into year 8 of being apart from my ex husband after spending 16yrs together. God truly healed that hole left in my heart and I finally feel ready to date with intentionality again.
S Scott you are accurate. After my 16 year marriage ended, I bought a book call Divorce Care and it recommends that same time.
Been abstaining for over a year and this has encouraged me to keep it going! 🌺
