This fits the newbies I meet to a T. Especially the part where they say the game isn't scary, and end up screaming their heads off a short while later. Usually while running from the ghost, thus letting the ghost know EXACTLY where to find them. The best part is that the same screaming person will inevitably dive into the same hiding spot as everyone else. Naturally. 😅
I had one of those newbies recently, it was a kid and he rung an ear piercing screech after the ghost spawned during a ghost event and seemed so embarrassed about it that he complained that I wasn't scared because I was in vr or something... wut..
Love how everyone says only noobs run from the ghosts scared. too many veteran players run shit scared out the front door and the ghost wasn’t chasing them. Damn thing was killing me upstairs.
I miss these days of Phasmo. I definitely remember either hiding in a corner acting as if I can't see it, it can't see me or even hiding in a closet in the same room it is spawning in.
I'm in those days right now lol Day 3 of playing this game. Yesterday was in a room with a buddy (we had confirmed it was the ghost room ages before) We were jabbering like gibbons. We hear a scream and I'm in the rooms closet so quick that I don't remember even opening the door and going inside. All I can hear is death outside. Easiest yokai deduction ever 😂 You just reminded me of this😂
I remember my first game. The ghost was in the 2nd floor bathroom near the stairs in some farmhouse. It started hunting and I turned my flashlight off so it couldn’t see me in the dark (even though at the time having electronics on wouldn’t do anything). It ended up just making me stumble randomly through the hall trying the find the stairs where it promptly killed me. Everyone else was too scared to enter the house and left. It was a demon.
YUP, that's definitely me even now X'D Thank you for this gem! Least realistic part of this is that the dead body doesn't have his ass up or is in otherwise funky as hell positions. But seriously, this is gold!
I was definitely the one saying: "Wait... You can be useful outside the house?! Where it is safe?" Your videos are just very relatable and hilarious xD Keep up the great work! :)
The door still gets me every damn time. Especially in bigger maps. My teammates could hear me raging over a stupid door and then they open it, and I'd realize I was pushing insteading of pulling.
"Are you saying we can be useful from outside of the house? Where it's safe? ... I'm never going inside again!" This is me. This is exactly how I play. 😊
Let me tell you a story of when i first started playing Phasmophobia. It's my experience of the whole game and read it if you want but It's kinda long so maybe do text to speech. It was September 20th, 2020. I get a game gifted to me which i have never heard of, that game was none other than Phasmophobia. I hop on my VR to play it with two of my other friends and i had no idea what to expect. We played on Tanglewood Street House and when we load into the truck this is when things got real for me. Just seeing the starter items on the shelves was really scary for me, the EMF Reader sitting there made my mind race. "What is this? Why is this here?.... Wait.... AM I HUNTING A GHOST?" I said in my head. Watching the truck door open made me super paranoid. As we stepped into the house, i hear the ominous ambience of whatever awaits us in this house. We are wondering around until we started to get bored, we decided to pass the time by playing hide and seek. One person was counting in the garage while the others went to go hide. My friend started counting and my other friend hid in master bedroom and i hid in the closet in the foyer next to the nursery. What happens next is an experience I'll never forget. I drop my flashlight in the closet, it was turned off which made it even harder to locate it. I opened the doors trying to see if it somehow fell out of the closet, then I hear it. The croaking sound that every Phasmophobia player heard. I was more confused than scared, I thought it was the floorboards creaking since that happens a lot and I wasn't that worried, I look to my right and see it. A black shadow. I'm staring at it face to face. I ran to my friends instead of running out the door which is 10 feet away from me which was gonna be my worst mistake of playing this game. All my friends meet up in the living room, I tell them what happened and they thought I was joking. The door shuts, locks, and the lights start to flicker. My friends go "Oh no. It's happening" I yelled "What's happening??" Then I see the ghost walk around the corner, and start walking towards us. We all huddled in the back by the window. Then one person dies off. I start running out of the house while my friend stayed back and admired the other guy's dead body. The door shuts again, I see his red icon on the map walking around the house then run into the garage. I hear him say "Yup.... I'm dead" Then I saw his icon disappear. I left being the last one alive that night.
This was me and my friend, but I actually knew a little bit about the game. (We both bought it at the same time to play it together) The “it’s hunting! No wait, I was just pushing instead of pulling” was definitely us.
love this everytime i go to play Phasmo with friends who barely touched it or are playing it for the first time and they see my level, they mind is blown and be like "is this game all you ever play or something?!" i'm over lvl 120 and leveling it quiet easy, but it's funny to see their reactions when they think i'm a "high" level
My friend is a level 100 and once the new update dropped he needs another 3 months of counseling so he could get used to it. I'm sending this to him immediately.
Damn, I laughed hard through the whole video, really fun to watch. This is exactly what was happening when me, my gf and our friend had our first couple of games recently.
I love making this game as realistic as possible. It’s always fun watching clips from my friends POV as they’re hiding and hear them silently panic as they suddenly hear my blood curdling screams from across the map.
When I was more nooby than I currently am, I did a lot of talking to myself and making noises to make myself feel less scared, until I learned that that can anger the ghost
It's missing the part where you don't know that you have to buy and add a flashlight, so you stumble around in the darkness until you die to the ghost.

Dude everyone looking for orbs in the truck is so accurate. 90% of rando servers I join is me inside and the other three players “looking for orbs” in the truck.
"Oops, I dropped my torch." Dude, over a 100 hours clocked into the game and I still fumble my equipment (and sometimes die from it) more than I could have possibly kept count.
its missing the ouaji board interactions from the doorstep :) or rather the general standing in the door taunting the ghost with a fail of the door closing an sucking you in :D haha funny video.
I once played a solo game where I managed to spend 45 minutes in the van giving myself pep talks between quick runs inside the house to drop equipment in the ghost room and dash back out again. But I got the ghost right in the end, so it's the little achievements.
Usually I don't care if I am playing with somebody new to the game as long as they are willing to listen to some tips, are helpful, and are trying. I gained that attitude when I myself first trying out the game nearly when it first came out experienced getting kicked out for my low levels. I at one time had been playing some rounds with this other guy and we were attempting to get our last optional objective in a professional match: Have a member of your team escape during a ghost hunt. Well that entire game we had one person who died during the investigation and they had to leave after that game, and our other was a level 1. And I swear I never normally get bothered by level ones but this one in particular I swear was the most useless level 1 I've ever encountered. 1. No mic 2. Sat in the van for almost the entirety of the game 3. Anytime they were in the house they either were A. Doing nothing to help Or B. Hiding We weren't feeling the drag up until we had to complete that last optional objective. We were taking turns trying to initiate a hunt and then run down to the basement but it failed each time. We tried for 5 minutes to convince the level 1 to come with us so we could ensure it wasn't them the ghost was targeting but they stayed in the van. Thankfully it finally worked no thanks to the level 1 as it was the other guy who wqs being targeted and it finally clicked over.
Dawg after watching for a month or 2 about phasmophobia and FINALLY buying the game today, i feel im a bit on the Noob-intermediate side here. Im a bit more confident and definitely not a van-camper. Hahaha. I would’ve love to see him drop his equipment because he’d need to run back to the truck to get more equipment but leaving the flashlight out and on, on the floor in a direction he thinks he needs to go; because you think leaving it on keeps your sanity high when you return running in front of the light beam, and helps you see where you’re going; and helps to do a Myling test or a Raiju later. That would have been the icing on the cake lol. That’s what I do, anyway.

I’ve recently been playing this game in vr, and I learned that if there is enough room, you can hide under tables and beds, and the ghost can’t get you when hunting. Just got to be careful not to get stuck in the ground
This was definitely me back when I first played... 500 hours of gameplay later and I still forget the key half the time.
I fight for it 🤣
you either leave the game or say its a no key challenge. you never admit you forget the key my man
Same here
My brain: it’s fine, someone else will get it
I’ve got like 800 hours I think (which I’m concerned about but it’s fine) and I feel like I forget the key everytime

But I only have the purple light because my mate takes the normal light all the time
