Hi Emily, You mention that the Heathrow Express costs about £25 and that the Elizabeth Line costs about £12.80, but I think people might also be interested to know that the Piccadilly Line costs only £5.60. And, by changing trains to the District Line at Earls Court, you can even get to Paddington (the destination that costs £25 by Heathrow Express) for that same £5.60! ...admittedly the journey takes about an hour! 🙂
Leaving in 10 days and your video is helping me feel so much more confident. I've watched a few and yours are the most succinct with clear instructions. Thank You!
This is a much less expensive option than taxi's or car services. The first time we came we spent around 80 pounds for a car service! The next time we came we took the tube - and saved a lot of money! I think there are times when a car/taxi still might be good - like if you have small children or lots of luggage - but if you are able to take the tube I recommend it!
I’m planing to visit London and I stumbled across your videos. Thank you so much for those very informative videos it’s brilliant, you did us( travellers) a favour. Also your details is the first video that explains and shows what to expect. Traveling is exhausting and difficult to concentrate after you landed, this put everyone’s mind at ease. Thanks again!! 🙏🙏
Another thing to point out is that the Heathrow Express isn't included in the daily price cap for oyster and contactless so if you're gonna be traveling around central London after getting there you'll be paying the £25 for the Heathrow Express plus up to the £8.50 daily cap for zones 1-2 whereas with the Piccadilly line and Elizabeth Line from the airport, you'll cap at £14.90 if you travel more
May want to mention that in your video you start from Terminal 3. Terminals 2, 4 and 5 are completely separate and don't use the same concourse, but Terminal 2 does use the same foot tunnel but from the other side. Terminals 4 and 5 have their own train/underground stations which are one stop before/after 2/3. Nice video though.
Visited London last December ,your videos did help in understanding the transportation service how ever you should mention cost of tickets 🎫,full day pass & how to buy a oyster pass and top off using app 😅
Very helpful! Might want to add two things (1) Heathrow Express has discounts for advance purchase and for two people who are traveling together (I paid £55 for two people, round trip), and (2) the Piccadilly trains, while the cheapest, are really old, don't have a lot of space for luggage, and don't have air conditioning (that is all supposed to change in 2025)..
Thank you for this helpful and practical video! I have another question for you…do you think the London Pass is the way you go for tourists? Would appreciate your opinion 🙂 We have a fall 2024 trip to London planned!
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I’m not very familiar with the London pass, but if you plan to do a lot of the attractions offered it might be a good deal.
@@labeles41 I am talking about the attraction pass you can buy in advance for 3 to 10 days. I believe it’s Go City. There are plenty of attractions attached to the pass. Just wondered if anyone has gone that route.
Are the trains at the airport open 24/7?? Will be arriving at 10:40 but will have to go through customs so I’m assuming we’ll be leaving the airport around 12-1am
In case I use the Heathrow Express and I use my credit Card for paying: Does in this case the same system work with having a limited maximum Tube fee for that day? Cause after having arrived at my first destination (the Hostel), I am going to use the Tube again. Love your video😊
Hi, the Heathrow express does not count towards the daily cap on TFL services. I believe that the Elizabeth line does though. Glad you like the video :)
I would like to use the Elizabeth line from Heathrow to Liverpool Sta. will it go direct or will I have to get off at Paddington and switch trains to continue east to Liverpool Sta?
Liverpool is a city in north-west England, the Elizabeth Line does not go there. American style abbreviation must not be used on British street names. No need to change trains to go to Liverpool Street.
I’m sure you mean well, but for many people, this video is of very limited help. This video is for people arriving at terminal 3. There are 4 terminals at Heathrow. Those arriving at terminals 2 or 3 might find this video useful, but those arriving at terminals 4 or 5 might get confused. Plus, you forgot to mention the coach service, the bus service and the 4-wheeled transport.

I did this going back to the airport just so I can say I’ve done all 3. It’s very long and some of the trains don’t have AC. I don’t recommend it.
@@funny2thagWhich would be the best option?

Are you talking about Brit Rail passes ?

Some taxis can take 6 passengers, although fitting the luggage in might be a bit awkward, but then again, maybe not.
Hello what are the stops for Elizabeth line?
Very informational video. Thanks so much... Is there a portal for Picadilly line stops?.. Thanks,
You can view all the stops on the TFL website: tfl.gov.uk/tube/route/piccadilly/
What is the reason you have to tap your card before and after please
Because the price of the journey is based on the distance you travel, so when you tap in and out the TFL can tell how far you’ve gone.
So the system knows where you started & finished and therefore, how much to charge you.
In case I use the Heathrow Express and I use my credit Card for paying: Does in this case the same system work with having a limited maximum Tube fee for that day? Cause after having arrived at my first destination (the Hostel), I am going to use the Tube again. Love your video😊

Where do you go to get to the taxi/uber pick up area if you are arriving at Terminal 3 ?
When you walk out of the arrivals area, the main concourse has a taxi stand.
What is the best option for a group of 6? A van? How much would it cost?
Some taxis can take 6 passengers.
In British English a van is a vehicle for transporting goods and typically seat 3 people including the driver.
