You know what always confused me about this prequel? That they didn’t focus on the hitchhiker from the first film and her encounter with the Hewitts. It would’ve been so interesting to see her story.

TCM3 and 4 are the most forgettable in the series. TCM 3D is also kinda forgettable, but not as much as 3 & 4. This one is far more rememberable, because I remember watching this in 2014, and I remembered in 2016 about it, and was able to watch it on Netflix. I forgot about the ending though.

You know, something I just noticed about this movie, that's different to the chainsaw movies so far is, the majority of the movie is shot in daytime, thats actually a nice and kinda ironic change, considering it's probably the darkest movie in the franchise lol maybe that's one of the reasons I love this movie so much!
This movie really stood out to me when I saw it growing up. As odd as it sounds, it's probably one of the best looking horror movies out there. The color pallet matches the scenery and setting perfectly, and There's just lots of great shots of Texas wilderness too.
This version of Leatherface is definitely my favourite and I think The Beginning is also my favourite of the entire franchise. I wish we’d gotten another movie with this Leatherface.

To be honest I really like it when a protagonist and other main characters die in a horror movie, I personally haven’t seen to many of those kinds of endings and it’s pretty refreshing to see that the protagonists isn’t always smarter or stronger then the antagonist.

I especially wouldn't have tried to do something like rush him like that when HE has the chainsaw in his hand. Also, if I were the girl in that situation, I would've not stayed to try and help my friend, I would've tried to get away the second I could.
I wish they made two more films apart of this timeline - the first taking place during what happened to Lauren German's character and the events that lead her up to meeting Kemper and his friends and the second taking place 30 years after the 2003 remake! The first sequel with a budget of $24 million and the second having a budget of $31 million

As much as I hated this movie, R. Lee Ermey was hands down the best thing about it. He acted circles around everyone else. He was an amazing actor, outstanding Marine, and just a great person all around. He will be sorely missed.

This is my favorite TCM movie of all. I think it’s extremely underappreciated. Great acting, awesome gore, and plenty of suspense. Just an excellent, straightforward, well-executed slasher movie that doesn't rely on gimmicks or "too cool for school" self-awareness. The unrated version is balls-to-the-wall.

this was the first Texas chainsaw movie I saw. Although it might seem a little simple to some people, I loved it so much. It introduced me to such an amazing series. It’s also the reason I got into horror(along with the scream series and Halloween series)

This is my favorite TCM movie of all. I think it’s extremely underappreciated. Great acting, awesome gore, and plenty of suspense. Just an excellent, straightforward, well-executed slasher movie that doesn't rely on gimmicks or "too cool for school" self-awareness. The unrated version is balls-to-the-wall.

this was the first Texas chainsaw movie I saw. Although it might seem a little simple to some people, I loved it so much. It introduced me to such an amazing series. It’s also the reason I got into horror(along with the scream series and Halloween series)
