Not far away from me, nice find. Some parts of it reminded me of that Jurrasic climb in Sam Roi Yot National park with all that horrible sharp rock. I'll give this a go sometime.
I'd almost forgotten about this, Karl. They say that it's only mad dogs and Englishmen who go out in the midday sun, and I didn't see any mad dogs! At first, I thought it would be a little easy and lame but it certainly didn't turn out that way; it was actually quite challenging and really rewarding in that there were multiple views. I would do this one again 100% mate but earlier in the day.
Nice one Karl - another quiet walk in the sun, near one of my favorite places. There are so many places you highlight that I have never heard of, so I guess it pays to get out and look once I return!
I've only watched a few of your vids reminiscing about previous times in Thailand but seeing this one has not only got the thumbs up but I hit the subscribe as well.
Thanks Karl I'm not in Thailand at the moment I saw you in a7 bar when paddy Doyle was being interviewed wanted to ask you then but didn't want to disturb you, I'm going back January we have a home in Sri changmai in issan.
I know you guys are super humpers with experience and I hope to join you soon. When I do these hikes, I will be taking 720mg of creatine monohydrate, and one or two custom blended electrolyte tablets prior to the ascent, and the same upon descent. I will also add a Gu Energy Gel at the beginning, and as needed during ascent. If my clothes are saturated at the summit, I would add a 99mg potassium tablet as well. You would be amazed at what these electrolytes and gels could do for you, especially at our age. Peace brothers.
We have a really good pre-made electrolyte available here called Pocari Sweat, it’s definitely a class above Gatorade lol. I do find a litre or so of Pocari is enough to wipe out any post hike cramps I might get. I used to make my own electrolyte drink from Salt (Sodium Chloride) and Potassium Chloride with maybe a little Magnesium too but getting the raw ingredients here got too hard during the lockdowns. As for energy….virtually any carb source works for me but fruit does come with advantages of extra nutrients.
@@karlsthailand Mate thanks for the tip on Pocari. They have it here in the states. I just ordered a one pound sack (about half a Kilo) for $13.50 USD (459 Baht) and will mix with litre bottles as needed. Sports nutrition is the key to high intensity. Look forward to massive hikes in Thailand. Cheers.
The ROCKY S2V COMPOSITE TOE TACTICAL MILITARY BOOT Style RKC089 may be of use to you. I see a lot of water crossings and this boot pumps out the water if your wearing a good wool sock. I am going to get a pair for Thailand. This is the Armies jungle boot.
@@marchanson711It’s 30 Baht (1$) here for 500 mil so mixing your own might be the way to go. Failing that there are no shortages of coconuts here and coconut water with a little salt is another excellent electrolyte
You sure find some spectacular places, Karl. Another nice bit of filming.
Thanks Ed
We enjoyed watching this vlog Karl! What a beautiful footage and thanks for sharing another wonderful video 😊
Thanks Marietta, glad you are enjoying them

@@karlsthailand December for long term. Just lining up everything this side. It'll be great to shed the shackles here.
I’m loving you’re videos. The footage looking down off the cliff made my heart jump a lil… but wow breath taking.
Thanks very much Fern, I’m glad that you’re enjoying my videos.
Another great video. 👍
Thanks David
Another beautiful place and great video. The price was right too. That bridge was a bit sketchy though.
Thanks Don, yes it was definitely sketchy

Thanks Kenny, I did enjoy that hike despite the intense heat that day
enjoyed that one as well Karl
Cheers Mark
Would love to do this hiking challenge one of these days Karl:)
It’s hard in places and requires decent mobility but people can stick to the lower levels if they find it difficult
Good Stuff Karl.. Thanks Jim
My pleasure James, that’s quite a hidden gem that one. I’ve spoke to people who live nearby but know nothing of it. Cheers
The Dukes of Hazard (you just need the music...and Daisy!!) 😂😂
Yes Mark, that bridge was something else. Jimmy went for it and made it lol
@@karlsthailand big balls then lol 🤣. Had a hairy moment on Doi Suthep yesterday and couldn't turn around for Miles 🙈. Beautiful up there though 👍
Nice too see Kalle as usual 👍
Something news about ferry Pattaya-Hua Hin?
I haven’t heard anything yet Anders, I’ve never actually taken that ferry and would love to have the chance sometime
Definitely the sort of place I'd like to go to, but I couldn't help but think that you need to buy a hat, man! Boiled brain...
Actually I do have one Tony but usually take it off when I video myself
Great Video, can u answer a dispute for me , is Hua-Hin and Prachuap the same place? If not, what's the difference?
Yes, it’s the same place…Hua Hin is the city and Prachuap is the Province it’s in
i wish you did tours
Thanks. Send me an email next time are coming out here, we might be able to work something out Nick….thailandkarl@yahoo.co.uk

We never saw any snakes on this hike, it’s pretty rare that we do tbh
Sucking in the big ones Buddy, looked epic though.👍I bet the cold beer was good in the shower when you got back too you accommodation?😜🍺
Yes Leonardo it was tough in places and a cold beer and a shower always go down well after the exertions

Great video Karl. But a lot of puffing and panting. In the words of Jerry Rafferty: 'Give up the booze and the one night stands.'
You know what it's like when you get older lol
I thought I saw you in hunger 🦛 yesterday 😁
I have been known to frequent that establishment lol. As it happens I’m there right now
