With how stacked Michigan is, there is just no excuse
I really don't think you could have Michigan as anything better than 60% favorites in this game. Denver is really, really, good.
That's why the pros play a 7-game series. Sometimes the underdog can steal one. That's the beauty of college sports though.
@@princea5886 DU is sooo not the underdog. Year after year they're right there fighting with the best. GO DU!!!
No doubt, Denver has playmakers 😎
Yep, Michigan blew it. Sadly what they’ve done in the Tournament for two decades now.
3 future Red Wings on that Denver team in Shai Buium, Carter Mazur and Antti Tuomisto
they aarent gonna make it
@@seiderszn1138 Mazur might
@@ProfPros916 nah
@@seiderszn1138 LOL "Nah" dude has 5 points in his first 5 AHL games ever... You sure about that one?
@@jleif7736every player on that Michigan roster is better
I'm I going insane seeing the same plays like three times in a row or Is it just me.
Old time hockey, eh.
Same here. Also tired of Bucci’s repeated use of movie quotes from films made before any of these kids were born.
No it’s careless editing
SAVOIEEEEEEEEE EDMONTON IS WAITING FOR YOU
Our prospect pool is so underrated
@@davidgoaternak8683 lmaoooo you have Kenny Holland at GM. Your talent pool is gonna rot in the AHL 😂😂😂😂
@@CertifiedClapaholic don’t worry, we’ll see you there in nosebleeds 😉
savoie sucks
The best team doesn’t always win. You could tell in the first period Michigan was in trouble. Denver played the perfect game. Three guys for Michigan watching the puck in overtime. That is a fundamental mistake and it cost them the NC.
@@polishpasta4203 Happens all of the time. One mistake can cost you everything and it did for Michigan.
@M E Yes. Obviously they would have been heavy favorites against Minnesota State who got blown out by Denver.
Woof Hughes on that last play
I don’t know man, Hughes had his hands full covering the guy behind him. I think the center (#23) has to pick up the guy cutting across the middle. Incidentally, that’s the same guy who failed to grab the puck on the breakout 5 seconds earlier.
5-1 winning NCAA Ice Hockey. Denver!!!!!!! Wow.
Please don't put your stuff on ESPN in the future (no clue what your contract status is). I recorded this game and of course at the end of regulation it swapped over to another channel for the overtime and the rest of the recording was some baseball crap. ESPN is supposed to be sports and baseball is a bunch of guys standing around doing nothing for the majority of the time, AKA not a sport.
"the rest of the recording was some baseball crap". LMAO It switched to ESPNU because of 'contractual agreements' with the MLB.
@@Louis1059 I understand the reason they swapped it over, just really sucks when a game starts at 2pm in your time zone in the middle of the week and they move it to another channel partway through. If the whole game had been on ESPNU that would be fine but changing the channel partway through sucks.
That's what happens when everyone on Michigan is caught puck watching and not watching Savoie coming in like a 🦈 waiting for the puck to come to the net. Bad team defense .
That goal was on #23 for Michigan. He failed to grab the puck on the breakout, then failed to cover the guy cutting across the middle to the goal. Both costly mistakes.
@@mroberts566 Who you gonna blame next...the goalie for giving up the rebound....the coach for not having different personnel on the ice.....failed scoring opportunities all game long ? Team effort....team loss.
Lambert will have nightmares about that giveaway.
Michigan was the better team but Denver played the "Duluth Style" shut-down defense. Playing that defense can keep you in the game with anybody
If they lost they aren’t the better team
@@polishpasta4203 talent on paper doesn’t win you games, therefore not the better team
Michigan has been the better team as national champs since 1996, right?
@@thesupermkgod Michigan beats them 7 out of 10. They were the better team. Just not that day.
@@thesupermkgod thats not true
What on earth are 51 and 43 doing on that last play? That was terrible defense.
@@polishpasta4203 and lost? LMFAO
@@polishpasta4203 frrrr just subbed to u
Anyone know if Portillo lost his helmet?
Nah I think you’re imagining things
Mike cammallari needed to comeback in time from 2000 and score for Michigan
Just you
Just you
Just you
What?
That blocked shot was a slide tackle
#23 really fucked us hard!
Erik Portillo is one of the worst Michigan goalies I have ever witness. But don’t blame the game on him there defense sucked
