Wow I like how these turned out. Ive just recently purchased the pentax 17 and I haven't messed around with the bokeh mode yet but after seeing these I think I might give it a shot
Your Pictures here are very nice and vivid in colour. As for the bokeh mode and the Christmas trees, perhaps give the decorations extra close up attention if possible, like the Christmas ornaments, baubles and globes, on the trees.
I think you have isolated the subjects well considering the lens is quite wide angle. Bokeh mode with the christmas lights should give plenty of opportunities

I can go as close as 25cm with the camera.

Nice pics! Did you use a monopod or tripod for lower light/night pics?
