Idk why I'm here. I already have these and love them. But theres something fun about watching someone validate your enjoyment for a figure or in this case four figures.
dude, could you imagine Nekron being like overlord to all the zombies, he has them all under his control and they march on his orders. Mcfarlane you clever son of a gun. lol
I've been holding off doing build-a-figure was because most of the times I don't like every character or the baf itself but this is one I might have to give in, because they all look so cool 🔥 great review, it's interesting to see all the detail of sculpt and paint, and range of motion they have, even taking into account stuff like forward arms reach and the neck for the flight poses
I didn’t even know nekron had a hood. Let me also remind everyone that golden age (earth 2) superman used to threaten to bash peoples heads open if they didn’t give him the info he wanted/ confess to something
Superman is missing his Black Lantern ring. I don't see this being addressed in reviews. It really bums me out cause no one seems to notice or call attention to it. All the other figures have their rings on their respective hands but Supes is 100% flesh. It's not missing paint either. The hand is just a reused hand from another Superman.
Picked up Nekron at Target on clearance for 24$ unfortunately I missed out on Carapax it to was on clearance for 24$ with Nekron but it’s online for the same price so I might get it but I’m holding out for the Throne Spawn because I don’t have a OG Al Simmons Spawn yet in my Spawn Universe collection
There's more than just that Gold label one; it was cool though. You probably already know that but I'll take the chance that you don't and say that there's a Gold Label version and a regular for at least 10 or so different figs if I remember right. And then there's platinum versions. It's been awhile since I looked into it though.
Well they're not zombies in the traditional sense. They're animated by death energies (one of the energy is in the universe) from a Black Lantern ring when it's attached, filtered through that from Nekron who is basically the embodiment of death. Without a black ring on it, the reanimated bodies are nothing and would not be zombified for like of a better word. It's not a magic imbued in the body itself, but an energy attached to the body. I know some people might say that it's slightly splitting hairs but I wouldn't consider them traditional zombies by any stretch. Plus they can actually view emotions through their eyes in a color spectrum. To contrast these DC characters, the Marvel Zombies books those are actually zombies in the traditional sense. Definitely no ring science/magic there.

“Take it from Bruce Dickinson, don’t ’run to the hills’ - be a ‘trooper’ and get your Darkest Night figures…. TO-DAY!!!!” 🤪🤪🤪
I just got Nekron. He's fantastic. I sold my DCUC C&C years ago. Now I'm happier with this. The previous one didn't even have a Scythe.

very cool set of figs. I can totally see Todd re-using that batcape and maybe some those bat parts for that Vampire Batman that's due at some point.

And also missing a silver paint app at his neck to complete the Black Lantern symbol. Easy enough to fix, but still an issue.
When it comes to horror theme figures McFarlane is the bomb..nuff said.
Too bad ya didn't mention the 4th fig in the line who also helps build Atrocitius, the GL Raynor.

Those move great! This is the first ‘collect to build wave’ I’m all in on. These look amazing and I love the source material.
These figures really are so in Todd's wheelhouse.
I prefer my dc cnc figure still 😅 mine has extra chains and I like the more comic look of it or cartoon look of it
Now we just need some white lanterns to complete this whole thing maybe the build a figure should be the life entity
The flash gold label figure looks sweet as well

Not a bad wave😛👍
Isn’t deathstorm in the CW flash show
Great video are these the only blackest night figures that Todd has made
Yup
Superman doesn’t have a black ring.
Did I miss your review on the gold label HUSH superman or something?? the hecks going on
That figure just came put. He's just now reviewing the Blackest Night set. Give him some time lol
I guess they were late in the day when they painted Superman's teeth,
Is this new?🤔🤔
RAD
A living dead Superman?? But WHY??
Why any zombie super hero?
"Blackest night" comic book has your answers
@@Shinmsl rather The Blackest Night storyline has the answers. Not just the 8 issue maxi series of the same name.
