For Linkin Park I would start with One Step Closer, Papercut and Numb. Then move on to Breaking the Habit, Crawling, What I've Done and New Divide. After that then continue on with Heavy, Faint, Castle of Glass and Burn It Down. After that there is a huge catalogue, so I would pick the album that has your favorite songs above and listen to the whole album.
@@dorianc7338 Perhaps. The reason I suggested it that was based on this specific reactor and how he has responded to other songs. Music over lyrics, although he seems to be trying to connect more with the lyrics as time goes by. He really likes the nice beat and often more forceful songs, so I thought we should get him into them with the songs that had a decidedly more rap/hip-hop character and ease him into the others that are musically excellent, but lyrically a bit more nuanced.
Mike Shinoda does most of the rapping and is behind a lot of the beats. If you like those aspects of Linkin Park then you might also enjoy Mike Shinoda's rap group, Fort Minor. "Remember the Name" is a great introduction to them.
Linkin Park has been my favorite band since they first came out. I love them please do more. Linkin Park fans are the most devoted fans. Please do: Numb Waiting for the End In the End RIP Chester. Miss you💔 They do have some heavier songs but this band is extremely diverse. The do have a lot of hip hop and rap in their music. Mike is the Rapper. Chester is the lead singer. The best!!
I don't know if you know it or not but sadly the lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide July 20 2017, he suffered from depression his whole life, he was so talented.. RIP Chester I hope you finally found the peace you were looking for :(
A lot of people think the lyrics were a cry for help, but to me they seemed a way to relate to people with the same issues and put things into words that can be really hard to explain. These songs continue to help me, and it's almost like a feeling of relief or catharsis when I can go along with the energy and raw emotion in their songs and relate to them. Plus, you know, musically they're fire.
@@Xanderj89 I agree. I feel the same way about them and Twenty One Pilots too. Unfortunately, I don't feel like mental health was discussed as freely when LP was popular as it is now.
it doesn't feel like 3 years. I've been dealing with the same issues from the same causes most of my life and I'm still devistated that he lost his battle
I find Linkin Park to be almost unique. Every song I have heard of theirs has at least 2 of 3 sections offering up hard rock, rap, and/or mellow rock or pop. Although this particular song only included the first two, many include all three. Hearing them for the first time was a new experience, somehow meshing three genres into the same song.
Alot of the songs especially the bangers are super surreal to listen particularly after his passing, in the lyrics you can feel what he's going through. Breaking the Habit, Numb, Given Up, Easier to Run, Leave Out All the Rest.
Pretty much anything off the first three linkin Park discs you can't go wrong with.its crazy to think they came out 20 years ago because their music has held up. Great band that appealed to rock and hip hop fans.
Definatly grunge-metal merger with a healthy dose of hip hop to flavor it up. Very unique musical offering at the time. They filled a gap none of us knew was there.
You should check out some of their early live stuff. But you NEED to start checking out some live music in regards to your journey down the rock n roll rabbit hole. Keep up the great work. Love your reactions, but I subscribed simply bc I saw how dedicated you were to producing mad content daily. Stay blessed.
Welcome to the world of LP. Some songs are like this one, rock/hip hop and some are more traditional rock and some are more metal. Either way you will probably love all of it! Chester has an amazing ability to go straight from singing to screaming and back again and imo no one will ever do it as well as he could. #ripchester Check out Faint
Pretty much every song from Meteora is a hit. Especially Breaking the Habit, Faint, and Numb. Papercut and Crawling are also not something you can miss. Not even needing a reaction video (but I'd watch).
Linkin Park is nu metal/rap rock. Their difference from other bands in that lane is one does the rapping, other on singing. And they did really great with that.
I was devastated to hear of Chester's passing... one of the best bands of the 21st century. Check out "Crawling" from their Hybrid Theory album.. it's the song that got me to purchase the cd.
Linkin Park is a great place for rap fans just getting into rock to start mostly because the band mends the two genres so well while keeping the rock and roll element a priority, and of course RIP Chester Benington
They have so many good ones I don't even know where to start. If you like hip-hop and you wanna try to get into rock, this is probably a good place to start.
bruh, growing up in the 90's big hiphop fan let me tell u it was this band that brought me to rock because of that element of hiphop so welcome to our world :) one!
Linkin Park is their own genre. I would suggest A Place for My Head or Lying from You live in Texas. Their best video, in my opinion, is Waiting for the End. A masterpiece in my eyes. Jump down the LP rabbit hole, you won’t be sorry. Great reaction 🙂
This whole album is amazing to hear from first to last song. Their other albums "Reanimation", "Collision Course (with Jay Z)" and Hybrid Theory is another great albums to hear from first to last song. Give it a go.
Here are some highly underrated gems that aren't as well known as their most popular hits (except maybe Given Up) but still excellent imo: By Myself With You Lying From You Runaway Given Up Session The Little Things Give You Away
Linkin Park is my absolute favorite band. I honestly don't have one I don't like. Just came from your In the End reaction. Numb, Lying from You, Nobody's Listening, and Breaking the Habit (also from the Meteora album) are other ones you would like. Papercut and Points of Authority from their Hybrid Theory album are also great. You won't be disappointed. Chester had such an incredible voice and Mike is great on the rapping parts as well. RIP Chester.
Linkin Park is amazing!! They mixed rap and rock and have their own unique sound. Chester (the main singer ) has past away sadly. In The End, Numb, Crawling, Breaking The Habit and so many others are AMAZING!! Once you know more about this bands background I suggest you listen to I've Given Up in which he holds a scream for 17 seconds!! Then listen to One More Light.
My 1st time also !!! Sound directly from the 70s learning their brand new Equalizer but ain't No Keith Emerson hitting the keys. Kinda like STYX, or even early Journey sounding. Nope, I'm not gonna rush out to the TARGET and buy their catalog !!! :D
Linkin Park is my favorite band of all time, their genre is mainly nu-metal which brings in elements from other genres. Recommending 'In The End' or 'Papercut' by them next, Chester's vocals are absolutely insane enjoy the ride! New sub after this and the AC/DC reactions.
Mike Shinoda is the guy singing the hip hop lyrics. He also fronted a band called Fort Minor. You have to have to have to listen to Fort Minor's song Remember The Name.
Granger Smith - Hollar Granger Smith - That’s why I love dirt roads (ft Latham warlick) Granger smith - Hate you like I love you Granger Smith - You’re in it Granger Smith - if the boot fits Earl Dibbles Jr - ‘Merica Yee Yee! Also, Taking Back Sunday would be up your alley

Don’t know if anyone has suggested Chris Cornell who also was with soundgarden, audioslave and temple of the dog. R.I.P Chester and Chris. They were best friends.🙏🏻❤️🎶
Great band. I love all types of music genres and they blend them really well. Chester Bennington (RIP) committed suicide after his friend and perhaps the greatest rock vocalist of all time, Chris Cornell, died in Detroit after a concert in my home State. They have many great songs. Anyone who is a fan an will agree.
Try some Stevie Ray Vaughan “Texas Flood”. Wait until he flips his guitar around. He’s SO GOOD that when you went to one of his concerts, you didn’t just go to see it...you went to EXPEREANCE it.
I feel like Faint and numb would be a good next step of you like them, but if you want to go into the deep end listen to given up. It's one of my favorites.
I am a black woman living in a mostly black neighborhood and I love Linkin Park. You started with their second album. You gotta go back and listen to Hybrid Theory.
Linkin park isn't your every day rock group. They have 2 lead vocalists, a rock/metal singer and a rap/hiphop artist. They also have a DJ in the group, as well as a standard drummer and bassist. Every song of theirs uses these elements in different ways. Some songs focus more on the hip hop, some focus more on the metal, some uses the DJ a lot and others only a little. It is impossible to say that linkin park is a rock band. You may be able to place songs of theirs in that category but it's a varying scale with them
For me the best song ever of linkin prk is probably the saddest One more light. You have castke of glass, catalyst, What i've done, Leave all the rest, Valentines's day, Papercut, Crwling, Faint etc... Linkin park songs have such a huge songs wich deserve to be known. (Sorry english is not my first language. I advice You too Over again by Mike Shinoda and zwier z.
Numb is solid next one and In the end is another one that is absolutely fantastic. R.I.P. Chester.
I was just going to that very song
I agree with you 100%

it's Linkin ._.
One step close might be a a little too intense for someone just getting into linkin park. I would say that is a little later in the list
