Amazing content! Well-thought-out video with humor and your charismatic self. No idea why your videos haven't blown up yet but your channel would definitely blow out if you'd post more often
Only a minute in and that first minute was perfect hook, line, and sinker to grab audience attention and convey what the whole video is about. Well done, new sub.
Some of the best content I've seen out there on this subject, and love what you said at the end about story, can't believe you have only 100 susbscribers, so I become one!
@@drewthedirector I will stay tuned! I'm about to make my 2nd film on a wild island, and you've helped! feel free to subscribe it will be on my channel within about 4 months.
Wow... I've been struggling to identify why my rig has been producing micro-jitters. The answer: Counterweight!! I didn't even consider that as an option, but that really makes all the difference! Thanks a ton man, can't wait to check out some of your other vids.
Who are you??? Happy to know you and your video. The balancing tip finally answers why it was difficult for me to stay stable. Thanks! The thing I'm still struggling with is stabilizing the left-right camera jitters. The Camera is balanced but walking makes it move left-right. Tips?
@@drewthedirector I'm doing the ninja walk but when I step right the camera moves slightly right, and when I step my left foot, slightly left etc. I don't know how to keep it totally straight if it's possible at all. Did you manage to keep it totally straight? 🙏😊
@@drewthedirector nice I found it! Can you mount a mic on the front facing 1/4 threads? I currently use side facing ones to mount a mic on my current top handle. Thanks, I appreciate it!
@@drewthedirector I might! Just got the smallrig weights and they actually fit nicely on my Nitze Lil Stinger handle, so I might just stick with that. The rig is balanced now, thanks for the weight idea!

What you’re saying is somewhat accurate but the real solution is to buy a gimbal. Or downgrade to the DJI pocket three camera… Perfectly stable with no micro jitters.
@@drewthedirector I'm thinking about the rear and side and my big ole Sony battery that powers my EOS R. Dope video bro this is gonna help a bunch! I'll update when mine come in tomorrow.

damn I never thought of that. so it's basically like balancing a gimble but you just balance your camera weight.. thanks for the video man!
Anytime brothah

Awesome content, thanks Drew - subscribe button slapped 👍
Very nice to share this tip ! I bought a BMPCC 6k pro and a Tilta cage and then I'm going to try that 🍻
Is this like your second or third RUclips channel? You level of comfort and skill don't look like 135 subs
1st actual channel of value lol thanks for the words. Things about to pick up! New videos on the horizon! :)

Earned a sub
great channel!
3:37 You forgot filters. Especially for mirrorless shooters that lack internal ND filters, you will want to through some ND filters on that box.
Love the video. Never thought about counter weights before. Also, super cute doggie! She is gorgeous!
I slapped the like button….. now what?
Keep this up, improve, repeat and you'll go far if you stay true - #51
great idea, what sort of handle should I buy as my handle is different from yours.
Search on amazing “camvate top handle” and it’s the red one with a 1/4 20 hole on the back side so you can screw in the weights
@@drewthedirector Thank you Drew for your kind advice.
Cool (how much all this stuff costs)
Why not counterbalance with something useful like V-battery?
That’s my next video lol

Walk like a NINJA and balance the left to right too! Not just front to back :)

@@orelbitan keep your other hand on the camera under or on the side to balance it - there will always be some side to side motion if you’re handheld
What is the top handle you're using?
Camvate top handle - don’t know why I didn’t include in description. I will fix that
Awesome video thanks! What's that top handle?
camvate! :)
Amazon camvate top handle

True if you want the robotic perfectly smooth motion but not true if you want the creamy handheld look and feel without the micro jitters
😭 imma need like $100 in counterweights
Lolol you must have a big lens

Less focus on the ninja walk 🥲
Right!? It’s a gamechanger!
