Hey Man, of all the duck hunting channels out there, I look forward to your post more than any other. I love the simplicity and the quality that you produce by yourself. I love seeing somebody drag a sled out full of gear instead of the huge UTV’s with trailers full of decoys and 15 guys lined up in layout blinds. Homemade blinds wherever you end up is much more realistic in my world. What region are you hunting in? Dakotas or somewhere else? Thanks and definitely keep doing what your doing! Merry Christmas too!
Sweet triple-! Something I’ve never done-! Plenty times I’ve doubled but never a triple. Usually that chance to do it is hampered by my buddy’s next to me shooting-! Lol
As i watched the beginning of the video, i wondered how far away from the decoys you were sitting. Then that triple in that wind made me realize you must be pretty close!! I like the Boss shells which i think you are shooting. I Shoot 2 3/4 number 5s and back up with a 3 inch number 3. Have used many different brands and types of shells over the years but for the last 2 1/2 years Boss primarily. Very effective IMO.
Great stuff bro. Your videos inspired me to join the sub guage movement and I just ordered a Super Black Eagle 3 20 guage. I believe those smaller guage guns can shoot better with less recoil. I've never had a triple of any kind with a 12.
Should have waited to comment till I watched the whole video. Triple was amazing. Love that set up over the creek. Blind was awesome they didn’t have a clue you were there. What choke are you shouting in the ethos? Great video.
Fantastic video, yet again, Matt! Congrats on a BEAUTIFUL triple. I’m glad to see you are making the best of a year that has been tough in general for Nebraska. I see you have been shooting your Ethos Sport most this season and not the SBE 3, any reason for that? Just curious as mine has been outstanding but I did speak to one viewer in person who had a high patterning issue with his and am curious if that is a reason you have not been taking yours out that much.
Thanks man! It shot good during teal season until the bead and rib fell off. Benelli sent a replacement from a 20 ga that's way lower than the original so I'm waiting until I can get an original rib sent to me.
@@HighPrairieSportsmen okay then, that’s an interesting issue for sure. Sorry for the poor luck on that! My understanding is that the ethos ribs of the same gauge and barrel length should drop onto the SBE 3 28ga as well, but I have not been able to confirm yet. I really think the only item I have not been happy with is the fit of the rib to the barrel studs, but mine has not budged or cause any issues in 700+ rounds and a lot of hunting and under the back seat of a pickup riding. I hope you get yours back in action soon. You’re a dead eye with that Ethos though, plus it’s classy as hell. Keep it up man!
Comparing them side-by-side, it looks like the SBE3 is a little taller than the Ethos. Should fit right on from what it looks like though. Hope I get my new rib soon so I can get a mallard with it.
I'm pretty sure the first video I ever watched of yours was shot in this same location. If I remember correctly though the water level was much higher. Great video as always, keep it up!
Isn't that just like duck hunting, go three for three and then on the last duck it takes all three lol good shooting. I got a question though are you building those blinds you're using or are you just using natural cover that's around?
Also! I shoot Boss 3" number 3/5's in the 12 gauge and I'm so sold and solid on those shells for ducks and geese!! It's unreal real! Is the Boss what you shoot and run too through your 28?? I noticed in the last couple videos the shell bag haha.
Great video Matt! I was wondering does your GoPro do a thing where the audio keeps recording but the picture freezes? I have a GoPro hero 8 black and yesterday was the worst. We shot a full limit of geese and almost half of the videos did that thing. Does that ever happen to you?
Sure hope theres a few more vids before the season ends. Hard to believe the worst part of the year is fast approaching (it seems like it just started).
Is that benelli 28 gauge ethos... Being inertia... Is that you tapping or knocking sound I hear on all your videos on the extractor area or something to make sure it cycles in the cold and cycles no matter what? Just curious is all. Not talking bad on Benelli or anything! I'm just a Browning shooter and owner with owning both versions of Maxus being gas driven and owner of a Sx3 and Sx4 just a fan of gas driven.. so I'm just super curious!!! You have me really, really wanting to go to a 28 for ducks. Badly.
