Smith's ability to just create space on the offence by either holding in his man and last second releasing the one next to him or using his hitch kick to act like he's setting up a sidestep, or sometimes (and incredibly) both at once. Learning experience (as he is still very young) and taking lessons and pursuing his own game in the next couple of years will just make him one hell of a player! So much potential!

An opportunist try is nice but he didn't create it he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Overall? Smith hasn't come close to living up to the ridiculous hype he received after Quins won the Prem. In the 6N he looked lost, bereft of ideas and unable to break down a defense. Ok TBF he was decent v Italy. On the recent tour to Aus? He was poor. Aussies ran it down his throat and continuously got well over the gain line. In attack the one opportunist try aside? Smith did nothing. If anything, he proved George Ford is a better option at 10. Smith has to get stronger, has to be able to see what is front of him far better, get rid of the silly hitch kick it isn't fooling anyone at test match level and his tactical kicking needs serious work.
Highlights players like Smith are always overrated by fans. Same deal with Finn Russell. They're both average 80% of the time, but have the occasional 9/10 game so fans praise them to no end. In reality, neither are fit to lace Johnny Sexton's boots at the moment. Flyhalf play is all about decision making. Sexton makes the right decision 9 times out of 10, but he has no highlights reel.
