Your leap of faith when you quit your day jobs to explore your passions for photography, videography, exploration, and travel put you where you are today. You might not have imagined it when you started, but that decision inevitably led you to where you are today. RUclips and Patreon might have helped, but you were the ones putting yourselves out there making content. You were the ones working long hours at the beet harvest and DigiKey to support your efforts. I’m glad to see you relaxing enjoying life in a beautiful place, and I’m glad you’re bringing us along, but don’t underestimate your own awesomeness.
You're so right, it was the first steps forward that started all this. It just helps so much to have all the encouragement we do. We have people watching that don't have the ability to walk and that rings in our heads every time we get tired of moving along. It is definitely an accumulation of motivations here.
I found your channel as I was looking to buy the same mini-van as you to use for weekend vanlife. Well I didnt buy the van (yet) but really enjoy watching your videos and travels! People all to easily follow huge channels but its great to support real creators. I know how much hard work goes into putting content on the web, and I'm doing it from a consistent home base! Keep growing the channel. Next stop 10k then onwards!
Thank you so much for supporting us from our beginnings. We may not ever become a big channel, but if it can keep gas in the van (which is the best van ever and we hope you find one) and food in our bellies, maybe a plane ticket here and there then we will feel like millionaires. Thank you!
We're constantly in shock as to where we find ourselves. It does make us feel very grateful even though we don't always know how we got there. Thanks Cliff and gang!
I'm so glad you guys took this opportunity to do this! It was a huge gamble coming to a new country where you don't speak the language. You aren't sure of the food. And it's so much more than you ever dreamed of. The busy day and night markets and the motor bikes and you have to just cross streets and trust that they will stop for you and that they are paying attention enough to stop in time! But wow! It was so worth it! And you fell in love with Vietnam! And all the other countries you visited! But Vietnam will always hold a piece of your heart! But hey, you are in beautiful Thailand! And man is it beautiful there! What a view! I know you two were feeling sad that you have to be leaving soon and grateful for this opportunity too. And we're it not for your families and the low funds and the short time left in the visas you would never leave! So does this make you more Asian than I am? I've never been to China. And I'm uncertain what part my people are even from! You two have spent 100% more time in Asia than I have ever even thought about spending! I'm pretty sure you're Asian now and I'm not! Thank you for experiencing it for me and showing us all the wonderment and the beauty, that is Asia! It's seriously something I will never forget! Thank you both for giving us this gift, and seeing these countries like never before! ❤
Haha! We might be part Asian now. You're so funny. We are seriously so glad we could show you all this. Don't worry, us getting into Thailand is only the halfway mark timewise. We have 3 months of footage waiting in edit. So much good stuff to come.
Thank you. It's hard to accept we actually did this. Easy to discount the hard work it took to get there too. Glad you're enjoying these adventure. We hope to keep this up as long as we can.
I have seen all the van life, goat life and tent life adventures yous have been on and yous did struggle many times but tried your best to stay happy when you had to cook a meal in the rain, wash your cloths in the river and hang them out to dry over a log. I remember all of it. I admired yous for your efforts, your struggles and your happy faces through it all. Then again this life is like paradise. So interesting to watch as well. Who would not want to do this :) But wondering if the beets will still be waiting for yous in the States ? Most likely then off to paradise again ? I do admire yous two 100% 🥰
Awe! Thank you so much for watching us through all of that. We are definitely looking at Stacking more beets in the near future. What a crazy life we've made for ourselves. Lol!
Think of all the places you have been plus all the people you met. Plus all of those wonderful experiences you have had. These people will never forget meeting the both of you. Neither will you two forget meeting these people. Wow, maybe write a Travel Book summing up your experiences.
Agree with you 100% about the coffee lol. Awesome seeing you guys checking out so much! I wish I had done and seen more while i was over there but I was on a fairly tight budget. Love love love you you two made it over there and you're enjoying it so much!
Wow ❤what a beautiful place to enjoy great food and scenery and you can’t beat the cost. I think you guys are doing great trying out this lifestyle and bringing so many people so much enjoyment. I’m grateful for your sacrifice. Must be hard being so far away from your family. Hope you get to enjoy the pool. I know I would. Looking forward to seeing more from Thailand.
Thailand is looking pretty sweet so far. It is still very affordable. Very nice little bungalow you had there. It's nice how we watch your videos and get to feel like you're taking us along and you make the videos for us. And get to engage with each other in the comments. And sometimes you guys even get lucky enough to meet your viewers on your adventures. It's great how we get to interact with people all over through this platform. Really cool unicorn 🦄 horn shell. Hahahaha, that Vietnamese coffee must have really been good 😊 Hope you two are doing well. Bye now 👋 🙂
All those things you mentioned are why we love doing this. Can't wait to actually meet you in person. We kick ourselves all the time for missing our chance that one time. Thanks Shawn, for everything.
I wish more tourists would go to other places in Thailand rather than concentrate on tourist spots. Glad that you have visited Pranburi, it’s one of my favorite place too, very serene, and laid back. I live in NZ where things are crazily expensive, I completely understand when you talked about living a frugal life. Am just trying to exist here but in Thailand I could live my life. Enjoy your trip guys :)
Our entire time in Thailand wad spent avoiding tourist traps. It was fun and we found the coolest places. Though we did do some must see things too. It's a great country we could see settling in too. ❤️🇹🇭
Naw, let the tourist stay in the "popular" spots. There is so much more to Thailand and sometimes it's nice to be there without all the influencers, tourists, etc.
From your early adventures, then to van life and now here we have loved watching and adventuring with you! It has been awesome seeing new places and people through your lens and your perspective. This little spot you have found is beautiful! Being that close to the beach for that price is just amazing, we are on our way, save me some shells 😄🏝️🐚🦐
You guys gotta get to SEA one day. The shells, the martial arts.. it's awesome. Thank you guys. We are so looking forward to you guys getting to the West Coast too.
@@TheAdventureCloset maybe one day it will happen, it would be amazing! We are so excited to see the west coast and hopefully meet up with you guys too!
I love the lay out of that Motel but I would get soooo lost in it , I dont do well with direction in man made structures. The cab ride was a little costly but still cheaper than a St.Louis cab ride , however the bungalow seems to for sure make up for it, and those shells are AWESOME ! I love shells. Charlie 100% on every thing you said, RUclips has done some great things, its because of it Shari and I got to meet you guys and become friends in both the cyber world and the real world, I'm so happy you guys get to go on such amazing journeys but I'm even happier to call you guys my friends ... scratch that ... My adopted Brother and Sister. Love ya guys and I mean it, Great Video
Yea i was about to sat what are yall doing in that big city 🤣, crazy seeing the prices for things over there i had a chicken ranch wrap a drink and a frosty 17.00 monday after my rock hunt , crazy
I’ve lived my life pretty poor, though I’ve said the happiest years of my life were the poorest. But I found later in life that when I apologized to family for some extravagance they laughed and said I lived very frugally - and that I was out of touch with the reality re prices. I think you are going through the same thing. So frugal - for so long - that a dollar and some change seems irresponsible. Bless you both. You’re a wonderful couple and you’re each wonderful separately. Enjoy!
when u learn the prices and learn what to eat and where and how to get around the prices of living will drop very fast. Right now u in tourist mode and pay around double normal prices on many things ill think. One tip. dont be afraid to try all the food, thais are extremely picky with the food and if a local steetseller isnt clean or they cheat...well there gone in a day. Worst food is in the tourist places where they serve a tourist one time and never see them again - best food is the local places where thais eat
How has it been eating meat again? I keep forgetting to ask you guys what difference have you noticed? I imagine it would be hard to judge the difference because even though you are eating meat again you are not eating all of the preservatives and chemicals that is in a lot of food here in the US.
At first our stomachs had some trouble, but after a month or so we were fine. We try to not eat big portions of it too. In fact, our portions all around have gone down in Asia. More fresh foods and we don't really snack much anymore. We've both lost some weight and feel good, but it's hard to say if the meat had anything to do with it. We'll have to try keeping the small portions and going back to vegetarian when we get home to see.

Thank you. We have many more videos coming on Thailand. It is another amazing country. Welcome to the adventures.
We liked the strong flavor, but did get rice sometimes. Spoons too! 🤣
Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!
Thank you for being so kind, fun to talk to and and so generous. Especially when we know how expensive things have gotten back home. We appreciate it!

Sam Roi Yot is one of my favorite places in Thailand and it’s only 35-40 minutes from our condo…..glad you enjoyed it😃🇹🇭
It's still our favorite beach spot. Thank you for the suggestion.

It is absolutely beautiful there. That bungalow is amazing. Cannot wait to see more!
We stayed there a while, so lots of adventures to come from this area. It was incredible.

That's awesome! We're tracing eachothers steps. We loved Da Nang!

Now we know!!! Thank you. So delicious.

We were just saying when we watched your vid earlier that we really need to get back out to see you guys again. We had a lot of fun.
I can’t afford to sponsor you, but I do ALWAYS hit the like button, listen to the end, and make a comment.
That is a huge help. Thank you so much for doing all that. We've enjoyed your comments over the years too.

Dude! You can get a hotel and eat 3 square meals with $17 over here. We're dreading going home. Lol
try ham cheese at 7/11...pad thai, pad se-ew, kaw man kaiข้าวมันไก่, boat nooddle❤❤
Thank you. We did try some of those already. Thai food is so amazing. The flavor is top level.

Thank you. We did eventually find our way out of the tourist zones and Thailand got even better. Same with the food.
Red pepper Charlie. But curry? Soup?
Thai curry is normally eaten with steam rice, not eaten alone like soup. So, its taste may be too strong.
We liked it strong, but frequented this place a lot and got rice sometimes too. Thai flavors are just so good. Thank you for watching.
