- PCM Sportscar & Classic Specialist Ben Musu presents the Porsche 924 Carrera GT.
Introduced in 1975, it was the first Porsche with a front-mounted engine, the first to have an engine which was water-cooled, and the first to be offered with the option of a fully-automatic gearbox.
This Guards Red example, one of the 75 right hand drive cars produced, is currently on display at our Porsche Classic Corner.
My dream car! I have a 1977 924, hope one day i could converted on a carrera gt! I remember i started the love for Porsches and seeing this videos on the Need for speed Porsche, what a great game!
The most underrated Porsche of all time. Followed closely by the 928.
I blame 911 snobs and the stereotype of a Porsche Sportscar is a 911. A lot of people dismiss the 924/.944 and others poo hoo it and those have NEVER owned one long term. I have own x11 of them...from 1988 when they were new!
I had a 924 Carrera gt. Had to sell it due to divorce 20 years ago.. hindsight is a wonderful thing.

All of those people in this video have now since passed/ :( However, the icon of the car lives on.
Nobody in UK values the 924 Turbo...which is sad. When they were new were same price as a 911SC !! go figure....oh and the 80s Porsche line up was the BEST!

El 924 no era un Porsche ono un Porsche auténtico ya que llevaba motor Volkswagen el que sí llevaba motor Porsche era el 944 pero la gente siempre dice Porsche 924 no lo único que llevaba era la carrocería Porsche y el escudo en el capo se acabó
El porsche 924 normal si pero el 924 y el 924 carrera GT tienen culatas propietarias de porsche al igual que mejoras en la suspensión y por supuesto la tecnología turbo.
