Hey, thank you so much for taking your time and doing this video, it has helped me a lot with the setup of my Worlde Panda Mini. I almost didn't find any video about some specific aspects of the setup process.

Hi Cip! I bought my Panda Mini like, a couple of years ago and I couldn't figure out how to work it cause it's a chinese product and nobody's doing tutorial videos for it. thank you for making this one :D
Sorry I cannot be specific, but I have used it with an Android Tablet. Or It may have been my Kindle Fire HD, a powered USB hub and a OTG adapter. I just want to see if it would worked.
Greeting Veronica! The Panda Mini is a USB MIDI controller. Basically, it must be connected to PC/Mac running DAW software to produce music. Output can be connected to an audio mixer, cheers.
Greeting OptimalBass! The buttons I did not explain in the video, I do not fully know. I think the "Prog" and "CC Mode" and "Mod" work together to change the CC=Command Code assigned to a Key or MIDI control. I do not have any info. Kind Regards.
I just bought this product and I downloaded the software for it just like you said and when I open the software I get two errors right after each other. I'm on windows I use 7 zip file manager to extract the file. I click on PandaMini.exe and run it and I get my first error. A little screen pops up with a red x and it says (1st error) " Access violation at address 0048F1A7 in module 'PandaMini.exe'. Read of address 00000170.". Then I click ok and it opens the software it looks similar to yours but my pads are all different colors and there's writing all over each button ex: on all keys it says CC#... they all have numbers on them and every other thing on there has CC# followed by a number. Anyways now when I click on anything another error comes up (2nd error) "Access violation at address 0043DE20 in module 'PandaMini.exe'. Read of address 00000050." it keeps coming up every time I click on anything. Also when i go under control and click on common like you did in your video the error comes up and the screen is blank all gray unlike your video at 4:05 . I opened Ableton live 9 lite like you and was able to use the keyboard out of luck I think but I have no idea what else to do. I've watched other peoples videos and nothing seems to help. if someone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Greeting Joel! I made these videos based on my experience. The keyboard, right out of the box, should work with almost any DAW. The programming software is used to customize the behavior of the keyboard to you preference. Other viewers asked about changing the colors on the drum pads. There is a new version of the Panda Mini with colored drum pads. Make sure you have the correct software version for your particular keyboard. There are two pages at the Worlde download website. Mine is on the second page "Pandmini". On the first page there is a "WorldeMini". PS: CC# means Change Code Number.
Greeting! The website was re-done a few months ago with a new URL. It was linked to the old URL. Use your search engine to fine the correct URL, cheers.
Greetings Malakea! The Panda Mini is USB compliant. The only things you need are the Panda, a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Ableton Live or FL Studio, and a PC/Mac with speakers. To customize how the Panda operates you need the Panda Mini Editor. Cheers.
why i the panda mini app kept saying that the device does not exist, but i can play some notes on my music maker app. i just want to set the keys to keyboard or other instruments like that and the drumpad to the drum kit. can you help me. thank you
Greetings! Here is a list of things to check: The Panda mini must be connected to computer USB port. Make sure you have the Panda Mini Editor for your specific keyboard. There are several Editor versions: Mini, Mini Color. Make sure you are not running your DAW at the same time as the Editor. Give that a try.
Hi, i have a question. I bought this keyboard and i tested. The first knob doesn't respond at the midi map. I tested in reaper and kontakt. You have a solution for this?
It sounds like the knob is broken. Ableton Live has a monitor indicator in the upper right hand corner. It should blink anytime any control is turned or pressed. You may need to take it to a technician or a friend that knows about soldering. The knob may have a bad connection with the printed circuit board (PCB).
How do I set mine up? Do I have to download the ableton live 9 first? On my laptop/computer? Cause when I plug the usb nothing is showing.. help please.
I’m having trouble downloading the Panda Mini controller editor from the website (I also make music in garrage band but I’m moving to FL studio with the windows 10 laptop i have) and i just need help how to get it too work 😕. I mean it worked on my DAW (that is FL studio) and I’m just tryna download the midi controller editor too. On 3:18 what is “Wind sip”? I never heard of that program
Like many installations programs they are bundled and compressed into single download file: a zip, jar, or rar file. The file needs to be uncompressed or extracted into individual files using an extract or unzip app. Your computer may do it for you or you need to check the app store for your computer. There are many to choose from. I used WinZip.
@@cipstechitips1574 mine is still not detecting, tho im using FL, ive already installed the one at en.worlde.com.cn/ but still not working, maybe you can help?
Greeting Agee! I use Windows 10 and I did not install any drivers. I use the Panda with Ableton, Cubase, Magix, and MPC without a problem. I am sorry I did not respond sooner, your comment was place on "hold" because of the hyperlink. Check your USB cable and port or try a different computer. You can also contact Worlde support.
Hey I just bought my Panda Mini today and I went to go play aroumd with it and the keys are not playing the right notes. And when I go into the editor software and click send scene data it says "Panda Mini Device is not exist." And I don't know what to do.
Howdy JZRyn! 1. Make sure your MIDI is plugged in properly into a USB port. 2. This is more difficult. Make sure you have the correct midi software editor. Worlde has updated their site. At the site go to Download then select MIDI Software Editors. On the second page select "PANDAMINI_SOFTWARE_EDITOR(PC)" or "MAC". I am guessing the "WorldeMini_Software_Editor" may be for a different MIDI. Cheers.
Greetings Celia! To run the editor you do not need very much. It runs on most PC's and Mac's. Just make sure you do not try to run the editor and the DAW at the same time. That does not work, cheers.
I checked it is still there. Use the link below the video in RUclips. Once there click on "MIDI Editor Software" on the left side. On the second download page you will see "PandaMIni_Software_Editor" there is a PC and a Mac version. The file is a ".RAR" You will need to find utility to unpack the software: Try an Internet search. I hope that helps. Cheers.
Will you post a video on it? I'm in a real need to learn it to play live samples. (It doesn't differentiate channels, as you said, that's the main issue)
Greetings Janet! The Panda Mini MIDI uses a UBS Mini connector. Sometimes called a mini-B. It is larger than a micro which most Android phones use. Kind Regards.
Howdy Seven Squared! First you should re-watch this video. Use the pause and rewind functions. I think the problem with the pads may be in configuring the pads in the Worlde Panda Editor or the DAW channel selection. Cheers
Hello Buenas Vibraciones! I do not work at that level. CC = Change Code. Change codes are the codes sent from the MIDI to the DAW. They tell the DAW things like which key was pressed, which sound to make, how loud, and other attributes but I do not know specifically. Cheers.
my Panda Mini just arrived but the website seems to be down.... if anybody could help me out? i don't know if the installation file for the software could be sent to me???
There are 3 Panda mini editors listed in the site. I downloaded all 3, but they won't extract using WinRar. It says "the archive is in unknown format or damaged."
Greeting Manual! Yes, the Panda Mini is USB Class compliant. It is Plug-N-play with most DAW's. You need the Panda Editor to customize how the keyboard behaves, cheers.
Greeting CornHD! In the video, I show you how to use the Panda Editor to set the keybed to one channel and the drum pads to a different channel. Then in you DAW you set the Piano to a its specific channel and the drum pads to their specific channel. If you leave the DAW set to "All channel" then the pads and keys play the active instrument. Watch the video looking for those steps.
@@cipstechitips1574 I watched the whole thing, I use a different DAW so I came across a bit of confusion. Thank you for taking the time to respond to me though I really appreciate it.
Hi! I am very happy you are still replying to this video for three years, you are giving me hope that you can help me with my problem. I am wondering if you could help me with my issue. I am using the PandaMini connected to my Windows 10 PC using the included mini-usb cable and 7-Zip to extract the .rar archive from the PANDAMINI_SOFTWARE_EDITOR (PC) download on the worlde website. When I try to read or send scene data to the panda mini, instead of a progress bar or a confirmation window, the program makes a dzzzzz noise (about one second long), stops responding and I have to close it in task manager. I tried running it in windows xp compatibility mode, the same issue occured. I tried downloading the driver on their website, and windows didn't let me install it, I was following the instructions in the pdf included (probably didn't work because it was made for windows 7/8). Without the software I am able to use the Panda Mini on FL studio in the same way as the beginning of your video where the pads act as piano keys, but I can't change the settings in the software without the software crashing. Do you know what the issue could be? I suspect the issue is that it thinks I am using the PandaMiniC variant of the panda mini (that has RGB pads) which makes it send the wrong data to the PandaMini causing a crash. The reason I believe that is because when I open the PandaMini.exe software the pads on the graphic for the keyboard are colorful instead of red like on your video and I have an option to change the color of the pads in the individual pad settings, which you didn't have (5:54). What I think is happening is that the software for the PandaMiniC and the PandaMini are the same and they are supposed to automatically detect if you have the rgb pad or red pad version, because for me the interface, the options, the file size and the contents of the .rar for the PandaMini and PandaMiniC download were identical (which makes me think they are the same). Could you host your version of the software that has red pads on a file sharing website like google drive or something to test if it would work? It says the software for the PandaMiniC was last updated in 2018 so maybe it changed since then? I have tried changing usb ports, restarting my computer and reinstalling the program a few times. Do you know what steps I should take to fix the issue or who else I could ask for help? Any help is appreciated. UPDATE: I have found two more download links from www.suonoelettronico.com/ (pandamini_editor.rar and micromu_editor.rar) and they both have the red pads and no color adjustment, but they still crash. Instead of a dzzzzz noise, they both make a high pitched tiss noise and crash.
Greeting David! When using the Panda Editor do not run your DAW(FL). At the Worlde website look for the Editor that matches your Panda and your operations system; there are several versions on scattered pages. Mine Panda is one of the oldest, no color pads. Otherwise contact Worlde product support.
Why does my worlde panda mini doesnt have the piano sounds does it have to play in fl studio or ableton to have piano sounds? And does your worlde panda mini has low sounds when you got it cause mine i dont hear it please immediately reply to this i need help
Howdy Marvien! The Panda Mini is a MIDI Controller. On its own, it is not a musical instrument. It is more like your computer keyboard than a traditional piano or organ. It needs a DAW or a special interface to an audio amp. The keyboard covers three octaves . Use the left and right arrows on the Panda to shift the keyboard down or higher. Cheers
Thank you so much for this video and all the info! What can be the best affordable option to this keyboard? I want to buy this keyboard as a gift but would also like to avoid any embarrassment because I bought a problematic product. I still need something not expensive though.. Thanks in advance for your opinion.
Greetings Bur Isler! My experience with the Panda mini has been very good. It is probably the least expensive MIDI available. It is excellent for a beginner to learn and latter advance to a better more expensive model. I did have only one problem. One drum pad light occasionally stops working then suddenly starts working again. I enjoy it greatly and play it often. Kind Regards.
Hello Lisandro! The Panda Editor is only for customizing the Panda Mini. To record you need a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Ableton Live or Cubase. Thank you for your question. Cheers
Hello Dave! That is how my drum pads work. They only light when they are pressed. If they appear to be illuminated in the video it is only because of my studio lights which I use for recording. Cheers.
Greetings Wilson! I think there are various models of the Panda Mini. Mine does not have color pads. Look for your specific Panda Mini Editor. It maybe the PandaMiniC with RGB Pads. Give that a try. Cheers.
Greeting Kurrupt! In the video at 4:05 In the Editor Scene1, Bank1, and Preset1 are the same thing. Select Scene1-Scene4, Set and save. When playing use "Bank" and Left and Right Arrow and LEDs to select Bank (Preset). Cheers
By "too small" I think you mean "not load' or "low volume." there are several volume controls to check: master volume on your PC or Mac, master volume on your Digital Audio Workstation(DAW), and instrument volume for the Panda Mini in DAW. If you have external amplified speakers check them also. Cheers.
Ok, so please help ASAP, I have a problem, I have Windows, I did download Ableton, and I plugged the panda mini into the computer, the USB, and I seem to have troubles with actually controlling the sounds with the keyboard, I can play them on the computer but I can't control them from the keyboard
Hi so my notes work fine, but i assigned notes on the pads differently on each scene but it doesnt seem to change, it only uses the first scenes notes. What can i do to fix it?
Howdy yhas33r! I tried changing the keys velocity curve differently on each Scene/Bank: const, light, normal, heavy. I also changed the curves on the pads to match the keys. It is very noticeable on the keys, but hardly to distinguishable on the pads. I think it is doing it, but pads work differently; they move very little. "const" is easy to recognize. The sound is the same no matter how hard/fast you tap the pad. Try tapping one pad very softly then harder each time until you get full volume. Try the same pad again using each of the scene/banks. On my Panda MIDI it is slightly different. Thanks for the question, Cheers.
Hi, i am using cakewalk and you cant disable velocity sensitivity in there, before i buy one i would like to ask that if i set the velocity curve to const, will it disable thr velocity sensitivity? Thanks alot, hope you can reply as soon as you can Update: I just ordered mine, wish me luck Update: IT ARRIVED, it works and it’s awesome
Greeting Redly! I am not familiar with Cakewalk. I cannot guaranty it will work. But in my opinion, it should work. When the MIDI is set to constant, it only sends a single volume level(full=126), cheers.
i am trying to download the pandamini on my computer and i cannot figure it out, i am not that tech savy and having a lot of trouble doing this. i try to download the editor software from the worlde website but it will not even open... which app do i open this software in.. its asking me to choose an app.
Greeting Sateena! The Editor for the Panda is compressed as a "rar" and you need a utility to uncompress the files. Look for an app trial version of WinZip. There may be others at the Microsoft Store. Cheers.
@@cipstechitips1574 im sorry but it's not about the zip file, whats containing in the zip file wont let us open. its an unknown app the website hasnt updated anything yet.

I hope you solved the problem. I also run on Windows 10. The MIDI is plug-n-play. You must follow the video. Especially installing an instrument in your Digital Audio workstation in order to hear sound.
Hello this is very helpful. But can you show us how to configure the editor of the Pana Mini, it is very hard for me to understand the technical side of it. Please Thank you!
I am glad you found the video useful. This almost everything I know about the Panda MIni. You can also watch my Panda MINI instrument Setup with Ableton Live video. Cheers
Howdy Calum! Thank you for the suggestion but I am not a professional musician and live performance would be difficult. You should talk to live performers. Cheers
Hello Kurt! I do not know specifically if it will work with Virtual DJ! The Panda MIni is a very generic MIDI and work with most MIDI programs. Thanks for the question. Cheers
hi! I m using this keyboard with "lmms", only that I can't change from one preset to another with the bank button, more specifically I can't save various effects in the other presets ,so I am forced to use only 4 knobs and 4 faders, which is inconvenient since I play in live set. I would be very honored if you would answer me as soon as possible!
Greeting Jacopo! To change presets store your presets using the Panda Editor - Save. To change while live, press "Bank". The button should stay lit. Use the "arrows right or left" to switch presets. Watch the LED's they should change each time you press an arrow key. Thank you for your comment, cheers.
Greeting RioFrio! The website is still there. Check your spelling. en.worlde.com.cn/ At the top click on "downloads". There are many new instrument now and many new models. You must find the right one for your MIDI. Mine is on the 4th page. Give that a go, cheers.
Occasionally I get comments that I cannot answer by clicking "Reply" adewdropnun Hi Cip, thanks for the video, this has helped me get this working somewhat in Ableton. I've downloaded the editor on Windows 10, but when going to send scene data i get an error - "Panda mini device is not exist". Did you come across this at all? My Replay: I only get this message when I try to "Send" scene data to update the Panda Mini. Make sure the Panda is still connected to the USB and LED is on. Make sure your DAW is not running. Thank you for your comment, cheers.
Greeting Evegen BM! This message means your computer cannot communicate with the MIDI. DAW and Panda Editor cannot run at the same time. There are several versions of the Panda Editor: Panda mini, Panda with RGB Pads, PC, Mac. There may be an old version. You must find the editor for your specific MIDI.
Greetings A&P! Go to the Worlde webste and download the Panda Editor for Windows. There are several similar Panda Mini models available, so make sure to download the software that matches your model. The instructions are in the video, cheers.
@@cipstechitips1574 Hey Cip thanks for getting back to me that's awesome of you is there one that you would recommend and how would I get the software to function properly.?
hi - "Send scene data" doesn't work. My worlde shut down for a moment (red lamp goes out) and then go in, but nothing can't be saved. When I reConnect worlde to Mac or Pc - all the parameters are the same.
Greeting Matias! Make sure your DAW is closed. Always read your data from the MIDI. If you cannot read, you cannot save. Give that a go or try Worlde product support. Cheers.
Do you know if you could connect the keyboard to a looper? Such as the RC-505? I’ve done no research whatsoever lol, but I’m not gonna be dissatisfied if you can’t
Greeting Carlo! I do not believe you can connect them directly. MIDI's are digital and do not generate sounds of their own. The computer and DAW software generate the sound. It maybe possible to connect the computer analog audio out to the looper, but loops are easy to create in most DAW software. Cheers.
Greetings Mikado. I am not familiar with LMMS. Bing says it is DAW. The basic approach is Setup Panda MINI to send Change Commands on two midi channels: keyboard Ch 1, drum pads Ch 10. Next get LMMS to specifically listen for channels 1 and 10. Assign an instrument to Ch 1 and a drum instrument to Ch 10. I got this to work for Ableton Live but unsuccessful for Cubase and Tracktion DAW's. Let me know of your progress. Cheers.
Greeting Rafa! Your MIDI was many volume controls. Check: your speakers, your computer. Your DAW has a master, track, and even an instrument volume control. The MIDI also has a velocity curve that affect volume. Cheers

The first software you need is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). If you are not ready to spend more money look for a demo version: Ableton Live, Steinberg Cubase, or Magix Music Maker. The Panda Mini will work with almost any DAW. The Worlde Panda Mini Editor is only needed to customize the settings. Playing the Mini for a while will help you learn what you want to change. Cheers.
Almost any DAW will work. Checkout downloads at Ableton.com, Cubase at Steinber.com or Music Maker at Magix.com. They usually have a free trial version with some limited features so you can try before you buy. But, try Logic first. Kind Regards.
Sorry, no can do. It is your equipment. Get the software from the Worlde website. There is a Panda MIni (Black), a Worlde MIni ("Tuna" White) and others. Get the appropriate one for your MIDI. Cheers.

There are several Editor versions: Mini, Mini Color. Make sure you are not running your DAW at the same time as the Editor. Give that a try.
Lograste solucionarlo?
Hi, i have a question. I bought this keyboard and i tested. The first knob doesn't respond at the midi map. I tested in reaper and kontakt. You have a solution for this?
Greeting Julian! Is the problem only the first knob MIDI mapping in Ableton Live? Does in work in Reaper and Kontakt?
@@cipstechitips1574 it doesn't work in any software. I tested in Fl, Reaper, Kontakt and nothing...
It sounds like the knob is broken. Ableton Live has a monitor indicator in the upper right hand corner. It should blink anytime any control is turned or pressed.
You may need to take it to a technician or a friend that knows about soldering. The knob may have a bad connection with the printed circuit board (PCB).

I am guessing the "WorldeMini_Software_Editor" may be for a
different MIDI.

How do you make the piano produce a piano sound. Every key on my pad produces the same basic drum sound.

By "too small" I think you mean "not load' or "low volume." there are several volume controls to check: master volume on your PC or Mac, master volume on your Digital Audio Workstation(DAW), and instrument volume for the Panda Mini in DAW. If you have external amplified speakers check them also. Cheers.
