    Very interesting these reports. Your & Harrys farm videos give an insight as to the ins & outs of farming & food production in general. And the ridiculous bureaucracy! Thanks!!

    Hello Andrew. A video full of interesting facts (Including how to get an articulated lorry back on it’s wheels). Just how drivers manage to get on the verge in the first place is bewildering!
    All that red tape you have to go through. It’s amazing you’ve got any time left for farming.
    I’ll wager the French ignore most of the rules and regulations. They always have!

      Thank you. Yes, paperwork is getting a real job despite the government saying they want to cut red tape in Farming!! It’s staggering the number of lorries which go off the tarmac and run along the grass verge for 50 yards, I’m not sure what they’re doing.

    Great video again Andrew. Lots going on and everyday different. Would've liked to have been a farmer but I would have struggled with all that paperwork.

      The paperwork seems to get more daunting despite Defra saying they aim to reduce red tape.

    Time to make changes to your diet and look after yourself Mr Ward; we don't want you blowing up. Great work by the recovery chaps. The A17 hasn't really improved much over the years, it was dangerous back in the 1980s. What as shame that the information and advice at the farm safety event is the same sort of information and statistic that we were being given in the early 80s. All those lost and damaged lives. We really do need to drive the safety message home. The farm safety event looked like a good way to get started.

      Don’t worry, I am! I don’t want to blow up either! Safety stats are not good, hope the 400 there learnt something.

    Don't know how true it is but our at our last red tractor audit. He told us to keep a record of tones in and out harvested like you said, because someone is fiddling haulage on biofuels 🤷🤔
    Can't remember the authority that he said would check up on it but it wasn't red tractor so why they got involved I don't know.

    We have a problem with a soil borne disease called clubroot in Western Canada that attacks canola. Do you have club root that attacks oil rapeseed?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  2 года назад +1

      Yes we exactly the same, here it’s usually caused by alkaline soils and mainly found in Scotland.

    Great video highlighting some of the documentation requirements that UK farms have to comply with, unlike other countries that we import from that are not required to follow the same procedures .. has the reversing alarm stopped working on the telehandler ??

    Very informative video.
    I’ve seen lots of social media posts lately with complaints about the authorisation of plant protection products for sugar beet and the harm to wildlife. I know you’ve touched on this before, but could you possibly put up a video with the truths on this subject so that I can post a link as a response to their ridiculous posts?!

    Are increased injury simply due to the fact that you're working 12 14-hour days and you're drunk tired?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  2 года назад +1

      I think a lot of it is because most farms have cut down on labour to try to remain profitable which does mean longer hours but also cutting corners to save time.

    i understand there needs to be regulations on food and feed,but when you can buy food online from across the world with very little policing it makes red tractor outdated and costly to producer's. Talking of food,you've just made your cholesterol level public Mr Ward,lettuce sandwiches for you from now on !!!
