    Thanks for taking the inexpensive tile idea even further. The sky is the limit!

    Thanks for this. Your willingness to push boundaries and try new things (and succeed) encourages me (and others too, I expect) to do the same. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing more. P

    If you had cut off the unusable edges of the long ceramic tile and turned them over maybe you might have gotten a tree bark imprint. Love your work, thank you for sharing.

    Excellent, I just tried some small shaped tiles but 3 of the 4 have not yet released from the glass!!! I'd spaced them out a little & fired on a full fire. Have to work out how to get them out safely!!! Great demo too, thank you.

    Hi 👋 🙂
    Idea: Using the arabesque design take the middle lantern out to allow the glass to melt into that shape.
    Maybe in another one add a separate piece of glass to melt into the empty lantern tile space while the main color melts around it.
    You could also bring in light in the middle and use the fine frit or powders as flame, smoke, etc. 😃

    Tile stores will have different sizes. Smaller ones will have more pattern per inch
    I wonder what that morracan pattern would look like if you slump with a larger “grout” area but still using the thin fire

    I think those little tiles would make awesome Christmas decorations, use enamel paints on them? Would enamel fire to the tiles?😊

    • @JamaisonSchuler
      @JamaisonSchuler  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hmmmm… yes, it might unless you use a kiln paper separator? Not that experienced with enamels under glass, honestly

    Jamaison, I love your creativity, it is amazing! Would love to see your Dawn of the Dead one too! By the way, if I might ask, what kind (brand) is that larger kiln and are all the elements in the top or top and sides? Thank you again for being so generous with sharing your fun projects and discoveries! 👍😉

    Hi Jamaison. I see that you used papyros over the final tile project. Do you not recommend thin fire on top instead …maybe if I sprayed them with zyp first ? Thanks friend❤

    • @JamaisonSchuler

      I’m sure the fire would be just fine! I just happen to use Papyros

    thanks for the tutorial! Will you loose those designs if you slump them into a mold? (Im brand new to fusing).

    • @JamaisonSchuler
      @JamaisonSchuler  4 года назад +3

      Not generally since slump temperatures are much lower than fusing temperatures used to get the pattern. Can’t upload photos here, but here’s a link to the finished honeycomb piece. (The other one is sold) fourleavesglass.com/Sticky-Situation-Honey-Fused-Glass-Dish-p266191667

    Do any ceramic tiles work in a kiln? Just bought a 16” paragon and am experimenting. Have only been doing glass for a year, but would love to get some tiles to work as dams and for getting some texture on glass.

    • @JamaisonSchuler

    • @JamaisonSchuler

      Be a fearless fuser and give it a shot! Probably won’t see the texture much on the front but certainly will on the back!

    How did the wave tile turn out, Jamaison? I rewatched the end in case I somehow missed it, but all I can see are the honey and the baroque lantern reveal.
    Did I miss it somehwere?! Thanks. 🦚
