I love how Jaguar actually had their ad campaign recently with Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston, and Mark Strong about how they're all "villainous" and they "all drive Jaguars", looks like they were on the same page as Calvin on that one.
Why does everyone forget that Bond drives the classic Aston DB5 in Goldeneye?! I’ve touched it and had a photo with it before it then went and sold at auction for £2.6m
Big fan of the DBS from Casino/Quantum as well as the Ferrari F355 GTS from Goldeneye. Sure they didn't have gadgets, but they're some of the most beautiful exotic cars period. They also featured in great chase scenes, and fit the characters perfectly. The way Xenia pulls up besides Bond is so cool, such a great introduction for her.
Great video Calvin! Some interesting choices, but to me, I think a missed opportunity is Tracey's Cougar from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Not only was it from a great scene in a brilliant film, but it was one of the few times which it not only gave the 'bond girl/woman' power and made them feel equal to bond, but reinforces Tracey's strong character. Plus, it's nice to see Bond being the one rescued for once ;)
If I had to argue against the DB5, I would make a case for the BMW 750iL from Tomorrow Never Dies. It's often ridiculed as a family car, but that's not what it is. It's a luxury sedan with understated exterior whose buyers clearly belong to the upper 10% but who don't like to show off and want to come off as reputable and serious instead. On his mission Bond attends an exclusive media event in Germany posing as a banker. There is no car in the world suited better to his cover for that particular situation than a BMW 7 series. It's completely inconspicuous yet fast and powerful at the same time. That particular model, the 750iL, is equipped with a glorious V12 engine and has a longer wheelbase (hence the "L") creating more space behind the front seats for people who like to sit in the back while being driven. It's a basic feature that is perfectly utilized during the chase sequence. And here's why it's perfect for MI6: BMW is actually offering an armour plated version of the 750iL. In that model, the suspension, chassis, drivetrain and transmission are all reworked to not only cope with the extra weight, but also make the car agile enough to be the perfect getaway vehicle. That classic stunt combining driving off in reverse and a 180° handbrake turn? That's an actual test this car has to pass before it's sold to its very important customers. For all those fancy Aston Martins and Lotuses, Q branch would have to employ a whole armada of automotive engineers to adjust them to all the extra weight they put in and make sure they can hold their own in a car chase. With the 750iL, they get a fast, well-handling armour plated car ex factory and can solely focus on the gadgets. Since MI6 is operating on tax payer's money, that would seem to me like the only logical and sensible way for them to run their special vehicles department. Speaking of gadgets: The key features of the car from Tomorrow Never Dies are as grounded in reality as awesome Bond gadgets can possibly be. The remote control feature may have been regarded as quite chimerical in 1997, but with the drive-by-wire systems in today's cars it is 100% viable. Using your phone as the control interface? A remarkably accurate prediction of today's reality. The self-inflating tyres? Only a couple of years later, BMW would equip their actual cars with so-called run-flat-tyres that can still be safely used after a puncture. But here's the best part about the BMW 750iL from Tomorrow Never Dies: Despite being so sensible and grounded in reality, it provides a magnificent spectacle. The car alone carries a hilarious Q branch scene. It is the subject of one of the greatest dialogues in the movie, between Dr. Kaufmann and Bond. And of course it stars in a fantastic inventive gadget-laden chase sequence that expertly utilizes all its features.

The Aston Martin V8 used by Bond in The Living Daylights is my favorite vehicle. I love the way it looks, its just a shame it wasn't featured for very long.
Tristan Schenkey It definitely had some cool gadgets. It was a clever nod to the original, while still feeling like a car suited for a new Bond. Though Dalton's delivery of the "Optional extras" line wasn't all that great.
Tristan Schenkey I love the Aston Martin V8 from The Living Daylights too(The Living Daylights is my second favorite James Bond film.). In fact I have two different toy versions in my James Bond collection at home.
While this list is pretty much spot on, special mention for the mustang in Diamonds Are Forever. The miraculous driving on one set of 2 wheels... Then the opposite 2 wheels! Marvellous
I too have thought about the whole Lotus Submarine vs. Invisible Aston Martin and I came up with a reason as to why: For The Spy Who Loved Me, they tried to make you believe the car was a submarine. Sure, the concept was unrealistic, but they used models and gutted Lotuses driven by scuba teams to make it look real, and allow you to suspended that disbelief. With Die Another Day, the invisible Vanquish is just another bit of the unconvincing CGI that Tamahori out into the film. DAD knew the invisibility concept was unrealistic, so didn't try to make it look real or try to make us believe. TSWLM knew it's concept was unrealistic, but tried anyway. That's why the Lotus > Vanquish.
The Lotus is a lot more plausible than how the invisible Aston is supposed to work. It's one thing saying it's made up of cameras and screens, but on the wheels as well? Including the rubber of the tyres?
@@PetersonZF That is possible with sturdy enough cameras and the concept is based on real life active camouflage. Really, the only complaint that I think makes sense is it is a CGI effect and people consider the overuse of CGI in general as the worst part of Die Another Day (the infamous tsunami scene being the nadir of the film). But outside of that, I always loved the concept of the invisible car and me being able to use that ability (albeit on a different vehicle) in Everything or Nothing was a lot of fun.
@@gameragodzilla A much more realistic version of this was done on Alias with a tiny remote control car. It was covered with a single curved panel that showed an image of the floor beneath it, making it blend in if you didn't look too closely.
@@PetersonZF Sure, but the convertible submarine car also is far more advanced than what we could make even now, let alone back in the 70's. James Bond gadgets were always more advanced than what was possible.
The DB5 is indeed the best Bond car, but I’m giving kudos to the Aston Martin Vanquish. It’s a cool concept that could work in real life and it looks sleek as hell.
I might go to Bond hell(piranhas for me, definitely), but I like the Lotus more than the Aston. I love the Aston to bits, but the Lotus just looks so snazzy. I'd love to drive in it.
I sat in the Die Another Day Jaguar when it was showcased at the Duxford Imperial Air Museum. I was about 7, could barely reach the pedals; could only just look over the car door but being able to push the buttons with the minigun right behind me.... It was a highlight of my childhood.
Glad someone else likes the Aston Martin Vanquish. It's not that unrealistic and may be a reality in 30 years or so. It looks sleek and tries really hard to be cool.
Good point about Moore, isn't he the only Bond who doesn't get an Aston in any of his movies? Connery gets the DB5, Lazenby the DBS, Dalton the Vantage, Brosnan the Vanquish, and Craig get's the DB5/Vanquish/DB10!
Although I really adore the DB5, to me the ultimate Bond-car is the Lotus Esprit S1 submarine. It is so over the top - very fitting of course for the Moore era - you have to love it, and I do 😅
Thank you Thank you for including the chase scene from DAD it is awesome and deserves recognition DAD was also the first Bond film I saw and really have a soft spot for it! PS. as a new subscriber I enjoy the hell out of your videos look forward to watching more!
My list: 1 - Aston Martin DB5 (Goldfinger) 2 - Aston Martin V8 (The Living Dayligths) 3 - Aston Martin DBS V12 (Casino Royale) 4 - Lotus Esprit (The Spy Who Loved Me) 5 - The red Lotus Esprit Turbo (For Your Eyes Only) 6 - Toyota 2000 GT (You Only Live Twice) 7 - Ford Mustang (Diamonds are Forever) 8 - Aston Martin DBS (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) 9 - Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (Die Another Day) 10 - BMW 750iL (Tomorrow Never Dies)
My favorite car is the one Bond drives in the books -- a 1930 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre (which I believe was Fleming's car). Not only is it a classic car, it comes close to making Goldfinger's Phantom seem understated.
Agree with your Vanquish love, Calvin. Die Another Day was the first ever Bond film I saw at the cinema and so it was sort of my first Bond car. It's a beautiful looking thing and though the invisibility aspect maybe a bit too far, it's gadget laden and has a great chase scene.
I can understand the DB5 being number one, its a legend. However, I was quite surprised that you put that overly-flashy invisible piece of crap way over Timothy Dalton's Vantage. That's my personal favorite Bond car and I wish we can see that car again in a new movie, or at least a new model of that car. Other than that, great video.
Glad the V8 Vantage made the list. It’s interesting to watch your Top 10 cars and Top 10 Bond Girls Videos because the reasoning is based on the story than based on your personal attraction to the car or Bond girl itself. Kudos for doing something introspective.
6:45 fun fact, the Toyota 2000GT was never actually sold as a convertible, they had to chop the roof off in YOLT because Sean Connery couldnt fit in the car
We saw Goldfinger's Rolls (and many other Bond vehicles) at the "Bond in Motion" exhibit in the London Film Museum at Covent Garden back in December of 2018. It IS an awesome car! I was sorry to hear that that exhibit is now closed. Here's hoping the collection is reunited some time in future.
I'd like to hear more about Bond's green Bentley that he used from the time he was recruited into M.I.6, to just prior to the "Goldfinger" mission. Yea, I guess it was a green "1935 Bentley 3.5 litre drophead coupe Park Ward". We know it had a "Mobile Phone", and a "Black Box". We saw Bond use it in the film "From Russia with Love", but I wonder what other gadgets and Q-Branch modifications it had. I'll be willing to bet that it, at least, had "Level II Armor", a "Chapman Protection System", "Dimmers"(a Q gadget), "Gas Ports", "Oxygen Units", "Gun Ports", "Halogen Burst Lamp"(this probably would've been Bond's favorite, at the time), "Puncture Proof Tires", "Revolving Licence Plate" and a "Smoke Screen". Does anybody know where I could get of model of this car?
Another favorite car than the DB5? Well, here I am. My favorite Bond car of all time is without any question or doubt the Lotus Esprit from Spy. As kid my favorite car was the Countach (and still is). In 1982 my parents bought our first VHS and later and I became a hysterical Bond fan! About once per month they rented different Bond movies (together with Clint Eastwood movies, and others). One of the first Bond movies I watched was Goldfinger and I of course loved it aswell as the DB5, however being an F1 fan and a supercar fan as I was, already as a kid the DB5 looked quite ”old” for my taste. My heart belonged to I the Countach, the 512BB, the Pantera etc, etc - and about half a year later my mom rented her favorite Bond movie of all time - The Spy who loved me. I loooved it, and I loooved the Lotus! I became crazy about the Lotus! Here was finally a mid engine car looking almost like the Countach. Bond was driving a mid engine sports car - and how cool wasn’t that? The fact that I even nowdays loves sports cars, supercars and F1, and adding a bit of nostalgia, makes the Esprit my undisputed favorite Bond car. Thanks for your fantastic videos, and keep up the good work 😊👍🏻
Since you asked for it, my favorite car is NOT the DB5, but rather the Lotus Esprit. It's the distinctive look and the submarine conversion that does it for me. I've always loved the very unusual style of retro cars from the late 70's to early 80's like the Lotus Esprit and the DeLorean, and always wished I owned one. I know the DB5 was iconic in being the original Bond car, but if I was freely offered a car that can also explore the ocean, I'm taking it over any other car!
12:25 I get what you’re saying and really we look back on MCU films and can accept an invisible helicarrier just fine..but I think I have a good counter argument: The fact is that the effect pulled off seems fake, what I mean is that the process of it going from Invisible to visible is shown as way too clear and glitchy, when really it should take a good while for the machinations to reveal it. Not to mention they don’t really explain HOW it can vanish, at least MCU explained its multi cameras mixed with light bending. Not to mention how DAMN easy it is for Bond to know WHERE it is. He should be bumping into it once or twice at least but he’s always RIGHT next to it with little problem! The car itself is damn cool...the execution leaves a lot to be desired
I recall the day I saw Caseno Royale in Hollywood I saw a Austin Martin DB5 on Hywd Blvd. When the DB5 appeared in the movie, the audience cheered louder than for Craig
Interesting fact I discovered recently. The Aston Martin DB5 reg. BMT 216A features in a 1964 episode of 'The Saint' starring Roger Moore. The episode is called 'The Noble Sportsman' and pre-dates production of Goldfinger by a few months. The BMT 216A car was Aston Martin's newest model and was originally red. It appears it was a promotional model, first off the production line and given to film producers. The shots in The Saint episode were filmed near Pinewood Studios. Eagle eyed viewers will see the same registration plate as Bond's car in 'Goldfinger'. I believe that it was re-sprayed silver for Goldfinger for its iconic introduction to the Bond franchise!
Great video as usual Calvin, I especially like the way you nailed why the DB5 is so popular, it's like a recurring character, so much that it even gets its own 'death scene'. I remember, when I was watching Skyfall, everyone in the cinema cheered on its reveal and laughed when they saw how pissed Bond was at its destruction. As you said, I have differed with your opinions on occasions but the DB5 is without a doubt my no. 1 car and I don't think I've met a Bond fan who thinks otherwise either. It's James Bond in car form - handsome, classy, deadly, full of surprises.
dont know why the invisi-car gets so much hate, its fucking awesome. imagine how many red lights and speed cams you can run in the fucker. And you could park it anywhere without ever getting a ticket etc. Its a stealth car.
I have to believe the weird thing shown with John Cleese's legs while he's showing Bond the invisible Aston Martin is a callback to the Monty Python's "Ministry of Silly Walks" sketch featuring Cleese.
I'm so glad you gave the Z3 the dishonorable mention. It was hyped up by Q by talking about its missiles and other gadgets yet it does nothing apart from drive around in the film.
Brosnan is actually tied with Craig on which Bond has used the DB5 the most so far. Conspicuously featured in the first half of GoldenEye, in a blink-and-you'll-miss scene in Tomorrow Never Dies and in ultimately cut scenes filmed in Scotland for TWINE. Seeing as Craig will use it again in NTTD, he'll be the winner after all.
I will agree with you accept your comments about the Lotus. When i first saw it i thought, here we go again with another fancy car and chase but laughed my butt off when the alarm went off. love the vids
Honorable mention (for me, anyway): Diamonds Are Forever's Ford Mustang Mach I (okay, so it's actually rented by Tiffany Case, still, it's fun to see Bond in a classic American muscle car). Of course, it helps to be a Mustang fan as well as a Bond fan.
I was looking through some production set photos from Goldfinger that are on the extras for one of the early DVD releases (I think it was from the mid 2000s). In the photo album from the filming of the golf course scene there's at least two photos where you can see a fixed head couple Jaguar E-Type in the background that is parked up with the rear to the camera. Does anyone know who owned this E-Type? was it one of the production team or someone who worked at the gold club?. In this album there's a nice photo of Connery stood beside the DB5, a photo that I've never seen before. Everytime they show Connery with the DB5 it's always the photos taken in Switzerland along the Stelvio Pass. Why don't they ever show the photos that were taken at the golf club?.
The 7 Series that 007 drives in Tomorrow Never Dies is actually a 740iL with 750 badges on it. The car in the film has the 4.4L M62 V8 from the 540i/740iL and they used it because it's a much better sounding engine than the M73 V12 the 750iL actually uses.
If I remember right, you've mostly used the Daniel Craig gunbarrel sequence for your countdown breaks, but in this case, you switch around from one Bond actor to another. Will you be doing this from hereon out, or go back to Craig? And another great top 10 list, thanks for posting!
Great video again...but how can you have three BMWs in the top ten and leave out the wonderful green DBS from OHMSS? The DBS was also used in many key scenes.
Move the 750iL to #1 and move everything above it in your list down to accomodate it, and you have my list in a nutshell. I'm a car enthusiast, and I've had a soft spot for BMW my whole life. For me, seeing the E38 7-series appear in a Bond made sense. It fit his cover story beautifully, and I can't get over the late-90s BMWs. I'm surprised Q Branch didn't give him the contemporary M5, but this awesome 7-series more than makes up for it with that incredible chase scene with Brosnan driving from the backseat. The car's AI is comedy gold throughout, and the car's fitted gadgetry, to me personally, fits right in that sweet spot combining good fun with technical plausibility.
So glad that the kickstart worked out so well. I'm really looking forward to your reviews on the games. I just picked them all up recently and am quite enjoying them! :D
Newer look of the db5 is the db10 in a way. And in spectre Q jokes about the db5: I thought I said bring it back in one piece not bring back one piece😆😆
HAHAHA you actually had me going there with your number one choice LOL!! omg I was sitting there like what the hell Calvin how did the DB5 not even make the list???!! Well played. Also can't believe the vanquish is your number 2 choice. We're all allowed to have our opinions but that invisible crap is just too much to buy sorry.
Really great videos. Thank you for effort in making them. I have not seen video about locations. Can you make a video about a location of the movie, some paradise sequence/dreamscape or something like that?
Calvin as always these are fantastic. I have to ask, what software do you use to capture your video clips. Because I really need to start using some, but I don't know where to start. I'm thinking ezvid but I'm not quite sure. Oh and I'm not sure if should free software or actually buy something. Any help will be much appreciated
Quinn C Your best bet is Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro if you have a mac. That being said a lot of noobtubers still use windows movie maker without causing headaches.
Here's a question that I'm sure has been asked before: Is the DB5 from Skyfall supposed to be the same DB5 that Bond wins from Alex Dimitrios in Casino Royale? The fact that the steering wheel moves to the other side and that the ejector seat has apparently been fitted suggests it's a different car.
lbonini1gaming They said they don't want to give Bond anything really hi tech to fiddle around with, but I'm pretty sure they could still include something practical like bullet proof glass or a self destruct device.
As much as I absolutely LOVE the more iconic DB5, for reasons I can't quite pin down, I’m more in love with DBS that Daniel Craig drove in Casino Royale.
Legend says that when the producers said the BMW was going to be sawn in half, the people at BMW were completely silent with shock for a few seconds. Seriously sounds like a nice joke in a Monty Python movie.
I do collect the 007 1:43 collecion fom Eagle Moss and I love how 007 made a car worth it even with the small AMC Hornet that spins 360 degrees and lands across the river in the man with the golden gun who uses another AMC car too
Trivia Question: Which of the James Bond actors was first to drive the Aston Martin BMT 216A on screen? It was Roger Moore, who drove (...briefly, I believe) BMT 216A in an episode of 'The Saint' prior to the release of Goldfinger. Moore's BMT 216A was maroon (I think - the episode was in black and white). I'm not sure if it was physically the same car, which was later resprayed silver, or whether they just swapped the registration plate onto Connery's car.
Can't wait for your current gen Bond game reviews, Calvin! The Dishonourable mention should go to the Ford Focus that gets the hero music in Casino Royale. It one of the most egregious pieces of product placement in the entire canon.
if i gotta have a favorite, it gotta be the Lotus Esprit Submarine, the Aston Valhalla and the Jaguar CX-75 from Spectre. the BD-5 is my 4th favorite, along with the XKR, the Z3 and the Z8.
The reason why the BMW Z3 in Goldeneye wasn't used is because it was a prototype delivered by the dealers. This meant the producers couldn't damage or destroy it in any way, shape, or form.
The only car that I'd place above the DB5 is the Bentley (Bond's car in most of the novels) that we only get a glimpse of in FRWL. A similar version shows up in NSNA.
I liked the "Pimp Mobile" in Live and Let Die. I believe it was a Cadillac Eldorado with a Corvette top. I Would love to own this car today but I would maybe replace the dart loaded rear view mirrors just in case I accidentally kill myself.
Right! A bit of clarification for you. These cars were called “Corvonado” (spelling). Literally completely a corvette with new front/rear fiberglass panels matching up to the actual Eldorado front/rear ends. Cadillac mirrors. Otherwise, all Corvette.

5:38-The Jaguar XKR being the way it is makes sense if you consider that Zhao is basically a North Korean version of James Bond.
Also loving the consistent output. I know it's hard since it's not your job, but we all love these videos and want to see them continue!
Legen Dary Very kind of you to say Legen! Hope you continue to enjoy the videos :)

bmw 750il as number 10? I'd put that to number 1
What about Fiona Volpe"s gorgeous Mustang?
agreed
Great to see Kickstarter going so well for you, can't wait to see the current gen Bond games!
KevinMac96 Can't wait to get going with them :D So much to say!!
My favorite youtube channel!
Dukes Videos Thanks mate :)
Shane Moose Active camouflage > Skis
Plus, the Vanquish was in Nightfire and Everything or Nothing, the two best Bond games ever made.
The scene in skyfall when he opens the garage to reveal the DB5 is one of my favourite scenes in my favorite bond film
That car is absolutely amazing
DB5 is my favourite. So much class and style, the definitive Bond car :D
My favourite vehicle is the Renault taxi from AVTAK
The 1/3 what was left from it? 😏
yes it got top chopped and splitted if not having front wheel drive couldnt drive
I think the 750iL is the best of them all
Solid list, although the DBS from Casino Royale/Quantum should be #3
Another favorite car than the DB5?
Thanks for your fantastic videos, and keep up the good work 😊👍🏻
My No 1 would be the Taxi from "A View to a Kill"!
ha ha
My top 7 Bond Cars
1.Aston Martin DBS
2. Aston Martin DB5
3. BMW Z8
4.Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
5.Aston Martin V8
6. Lotus Esprit
7.BMW Z3
@Andrew Elie
Ha!
12:25
I get what you’re saying and really we look back on MCU films and can accept an invisible helicarrier just fine..but I think I have a good counter argument:
The fact is that the effect pulled off seems fake, what I mean is that the process of it going from Invisible to visible is shown as way too clear and glitchy, when really it should take a good while for the machinations to reveal it.
They did explain how it can vanish in the Q scene.
Cameras all over the car emit the image they see onto a polymer on the other side.
Should have found space for the red Mustang in Diamonds are Forever through Las Vegas.
the lotus esprit will always be my bond car and real life car, i grew up rewinding its chase scene constantly, and have at least 5 lotus toy cars
I loved my bmw 750il. I fit 7 people in it (comfortably yet illegally.) pulled over going over 100 mph, lucky the highway patrol was also a bond fan.
dont know why the invisi-car gets so much hate, its fucking awesome. imagine how many red lights and speed cams you can run in the fucker. And you could park it anywhere without ever getting a ticket etc. Its a stealth car.
Why did they make Sean Connery drive a Sunbeam Alpine in Dr No? He looked like an adult in a childs pedal car
There is one of the DB5's in a private museum in the hague, saw it with all the features being out. It's just so cool
I have to believe the weird thing shown with John Cleese's legs while he's showing Bond the invisible Aston Martin is a callback to the Monty Python's "Ministry of Silly Walks" sketch featuring Cleese.
DB5 is my favorite Bond car with the Z8 & V12 Vanquish tied as my second favorites.
Glad the BMW 750il made it as even though it doesn't look cool, it's my favorite car chase in the series.
The Hornet Hatchback in MWTGG deserves a mention. Probably the best car stunt in any Bond film.
Great vid as always. Connot wait for you the Craig era bond games.
I have pretty fond memories of quantum and bloodstone.
For years my favorite was the Z3 from Goldeneye, but in recent years it’s been the Vantage from The Living Daylights.
Dalton's Vantage is my all time favorite Bond car!
+Samniss Arandeen You mad?!?
MrWillempjuh
No. No, I'm not.
Samniss Arandeen I agree 100%
So glad that the kickstart worked out so well. I'm really looking forward to your reviews on the games. I just picked them all up recently and am quite enjoying them! :D
As a Bond fan, I think Craig’s Aston Martin DBS in Casino Royale is certainly my favourite, Absolutely gorgeous not to mention practical.
Newer look of the db5 is the db10 in a way. And in spectre Q jokes about the db5: I thought I said bring it back in one piece not bring back one piece😆😆
Smiler8970 cried when db5 got destroyed cried when db5 was being rebuilt cried when he drives off in it in spectre best car ever
Favorite Bond car was probably the moon buggie, not to mention one of my favorite chase scenes from the series.
The Lotus Esprit/Submarine is the absolute BEST!!
You are dead right about the BMW 750 from tomorrow never dies looking like a family car, it looks like something my dad would drive
You should do a top 10 best pre-credits/intro openings
Aston Martin V8 from ''The Living Dayligths'' and the iconic Lotus Esprit from ''The Spy Who Loved Me''
Really great videos. Thank you for effort in making them.
I have not seen video about locations. Can you make a video about a location of the movie, some paradise sequence/dreamscape or something like that?
Of course I like the DB5 in skyfall, but how did it get the gadgets?
Calvin as always these are fantastic. I have to ask, what software do you use to capture your video clips. Because I really need to start using some, but I don't know where to start. I'm thinking ezvid but I'm not quite sure. Oh and I'm not sure if should free software or actually buy something. Any help will be much appreciated
Quinn C Your best bet is Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro if you have a mac. That being said a lot of noobtubers still use windows movie maker without causing headaches.
The Aston Martin DB4GT Prototype Q Gadget DB5 Car 1963.That Ian Fleming Author Would Make A Wonderful Toy.
Craig needs his own gadget-laden car, I hope the DB10 In SPECTRE has SOMETHING notable.
lbonini1gaming They said they don't want to give Bond anything really hi tech to fiddle around with, but I'm pretty sure they could still include something practical like bullet proof glass or a self destruct device.
+JCBro2014 ...or a friggin' FLAMETHROWER.
That's amazing
calvin, all of the bond cars are quite fascinating
though there are ones that i enjoy the most, are the Brosnan era Bond cars
As much as I absolutely LOVE the more iconic DB5, for reasons I can't quite pin down, I’m more in love with DBS that Daniel Craig drove in Casino Royale.
The BMW from TND is a great car and has the best use of gadgets
The whole invisibility concept is actually achievable!
Personally, I preferred the Lotus, but that's probably due to the fact that Spy Who Loved Me was THE Bond film of the 70s, when I was growing up.
So Cool that the Vantage will return in No Time To Die!!!!
Legend says that when the producers said the BMW was going to be sawn in half, the people at BMW were completely silent with shock for a few seconds. Seriously sounds like a nice joke in a Monty Python movie.
Aka the Top 9 cars under the DB5
Like seriously would anyone argue??
I may be wrong but I think the Corgi toy was the best selling model car if all time.
Daltons Aston Martin always looks like a Mustang to me because of the raised bump on the square hood and the flat roof arching down
I do collect the 007 1:43 collecion fom Eagle Moss and I love how 007 made a car worth it even with the small AMC Hornet that spins 360 degrees and lands across the river in the man with the golden gun who uses another AMC car too
Trivia Question: Which of the James Bond actors was first to drive the Aston Martin BMT 216A on screen?
It was Roger Moore, who drove (...briefly, I believe) BMT 216A in an episode of 'The Saint' prior to the release of Goldfinger.
Moore's BMT 216A was maroon (I think - the episode was in black and white). I'm not sure if it was physically the same car, which was later resprayed silver, or whether they just swapped the registration plate onto Connery's car.
Can't wait for your current gen Bond game reviews, Calvin! Especially eager to hear your thoughts on 007 Legends as I was so excited for that game and ended up very disappointed with it for various reasons. Also, still waiting for your Goldeneye 64 review, guessing that's gonna be the grand finale of your Bond game reviews series.
Congratulations Calvin I'm the only person who doesn't like the db5, call me a heathen but the vantage and vanquish are tied for my favourite bond car
My favorites:
1: Aston Martin DB5 (Goldfinger, Skyfall)
2: Aston Martin DB10 (Spectre)
3: Ford Mustang Mach 1 (Diamonds Are Forever)
4: BMW 750il (Tomorrow Never Dies)
5: Malyshev Factory T-55 (Goldeneye) [yes, the tank]
6:Lotus Esprit (The Spy Who Loved Me)
7: Aston Martin DBS V12 (Quantum of Solace)
8: Aston Martin DBS (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service)
9: Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
10: Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith (Spectre) [SPECTRE’s limousine]
.....
11: AMC Matador (The Man With The Golden Gun)
12: Jaguar C-X75 (Spectre)
13: Sunbeam Alpine (Dr. No)
14: Dragon armored car (Dr. No)
15: Moon buggy (Diamonds Are Forever)
Spot on for the whole list!
