I pulled Ahriman just in time for this TA. I love the Thousand Sons for Faction TA. So much fun.

As a new player (none of my factions are complete), I did the last ta with this faction at common level, easily getting the last chest. At this level, orks were challenging !

I've run 1000 Sons both Faction TA's now and have been having a blast. Running at Bronze since I've not got thaumachis at S1 yet. I've only lost a handfull of matches. The biggest issue is how long Abraxis takes to summon and his summons to attack. YOU CANNOT WAIT for them to finish and decide where to place or attack with your remaining forces. You will run out the timer and miss your turn.
Instead, click on hexes to see what units have hp left/ empty and make your moves while waiting for the animations to finish.
I've had rounds so long that it runs down the enemies timer too. Thankfully the game resets theirs once it's actually their turn.
Putting Abraxas in range to hit with the pink horror is enough to get something on the board before shifting him with Yazagor.
If you can't reach them first turn Yaz is best off trying to grab an armour or hp buff to survive next round, if you NEED to move forward, but can't hit the enemy.
Typically I'll demolish 2-3 of the characters in my first round and have so many summons on the board that they will have trouble even targeting my characters. Often Abraxas dies on their turn, but he's done his job. Well sacrificed my friend, Tzeench is pleased.
Ahriman is a bit of a glass cannon, so he doesn't always get to use his active twice, but you usually shouldn't need to.
Thaumachis helps shield someone like yazagor vs overwatch, IF the auto placement positions them right.
His active is great when targeting an enemy with upgrades, particularly when they have summons, avoid using it on enemies with summon on hit or kill abilities, like Snotflogga or Sho'Syl, you just power them up for next round.
Thoth's active turn 1 has cleaned up so many enemies left on a sliver of hp. His movement is an issue, but if you can get him on hp or armour buffs he frequently lasts through to a draw if things go sideways. His biggest weakness is retreating as his ghost is easily stood on then.
This team has SO much Synergy, my props to the designer/s.

I remember ppl not taking me seriously when Toth came out and i was so eager to get him for TA. I couldnt tell you the hours i spend chasing the last guy with him. Until i got him or they retreated. With his Faction by his side he might not be the Main char but still very important. Love that about Thousand Sons. They go so well together that each one is important

@kaitan4160 He adds much needed tankiness, regrettably most people realize he's no the main damage dealer and focus the others. But if they've done their jobs he's a survivor.
In the exceptionally rare case he can pick up a power up he's compatible with any of them.
Plus his ranged attack sets a hex on fire, quite the opposite of the others and a buff the others by virtue of Ahriman.
I really can't overstate how much I enjoy them all.

My Black Templars ate the Thousand Sins I ran into. I had to play uncommon as I do not have Helbrecht, though can get away with playing him a level down. I am grinding him though, so hopefully will be able to play them at a higher level next tournament arena to see if they still hold up for me.

I've been using all of my stamina to grind up the thousand suns for a few months now. I have 3 of them, and the fourth is on the way. And the three I have are ready to eat my legendary chaos orbs.

I think I fought 3 TS teams this time around and it basically depended on the map. If I knew I wasn’t gonna get any power ups my best option was turtling up and hoping Typhus and Maladus could deal with the summons early on otherwise hope Corrodius aura spread enough to flip the tables and HEAVILY HOPE Yazaghor doesn’t get a damage power up otherwise he’ll target Rotbone and destroy the turtle. If i could get a power up id give it to Maladus for crowd control and boost Typhus with Pestilian to counter attack their sorcery:)

Played a lot TS and Ork where hell when they picked up power ups instead of hiding. Only won against them on favorable maps or when the Ork played wrong. Eldari where one of the easiest. Tau was ok. Got Tyranids once and got destroyed. There were also some maps with limited room to summon. These where always hard matches
