I just had a weak chick thought for sure going to die, just going in deep sleep, given advise by hatchery employee to put teaspoon of honey in water and dipped her beak in it about every half our for day helped her. It really brought her around in few hours. Also told to feed crumbled boiled egg yolk, not egg white to start chicks. Been feeding several times a day crumbled egg yolk on top of their dry food in low top of a bucket lid works great and now all chicks running around happy and healthy. Been making a wet chick mash daily with their crumbles, egg yolk, chick vitamins they all are loving it and growing great now. Of course have the 18% chick starter dry food available for them too.
AMAZING. I freekin love you, man! I just found a baby chicken in the middle of the road and am seeking knowledge on how to care for it before I can give it to someone who can keep him tomorrow. Thank you so much, I really appreciate this video! This chicken is so sweet!
Hello, i know that this was a very long time ago but can I ask if the chicken made it? I’m going thru something similar with one of our chicks and i have kids invested. Thanks
I have newly hatched chick here. Late hatcher got abandoned Edit: chick grew accustomed to my voice and hand. Getting stonger and very hunger. Would chirp loud if i stopped making hen sounds. Follows my hands like its the mother's feet
I have same here. Have abandoned chick cause it hatched late. Hatched Friday night. It's now Monday afternoon. I've been dropping small bits of chicken mash into beak & giving water from drops on finger. It's beak is slightly short on top, maybe that's why it doesn't seem to pick up grain? Other wise it sleeps under my chin! Had to put mask on to hold it while I worked lol.

No..honey not a good choice..use table sugar. Honey can have dormant fungi spores and other things that can cause disease.l
