ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

People don't know what an absolute beast of a vocalist Hayley Williams is. Elizabeth survived it and showed a little bit of who she is in the process - that in itself merits a chair turn. Hope she makes it far!
VERY THIS! i was just thinking that Hayley is one of the most underrated overlooked vocalists of this generation. this didn’t hit for me at all. but she went for it. hope that she makes better song choices for herself.
I would actually love to see her coach on this show.
Not just that she changed the song and did so good with how she wanted to sing it. Always nice hearing singers just do it their way
This shows courage and power. This girl is a joy to watch. Elizabeth will go far, maybe not on this show but she will do well as a performer and vocalist for sure.

This was hauntingly beautiful honestly not an easy Paramore song to do a little pitchy but still really liked her
I’m surprised Gwen didn’t turn. She had a punk edge to her pop and a distinct way of singing the song. Right in Gwen’s wheelhouse!

This was in my google news feed… good for her but she made this very good paramore song not sound so good.
If I were Gwen, I would not have turned too. She's shaky, flat at that lowest chorus note, sharp at the highest note and not so strong vocals.
She’s so good. The small pitch issue is an easy fix
This is a 14 year old song that the own artists just performed live for the first time last year. One of the hardest songs on the planet to sing and she nailed it. This is your winner.
I definitely don’t think she nailed it. It got pretty pitchy after the first part. But I think she can definitely improve on it

@@dipfuk Yeah, she hit some of the harder notes but getting there was shaky. She's got potential but could definitely benefit from some coaching and work. That said, it's a very ambitious song to come out of the gate with and the risk clearly paid off for her

Paramore was formed in Franklin and she was born in Nashville, that’s wonderful.
She has a fantastic tone and I love this song choice! She gave great power and emotions to the song and slayed the chorus. I hope Hayley is watching because she would be proud.

I love that she changed the song up! Hayley Williams has an extremely difficult voice to match and this girl definitely did a great job! There were a few pitch issues but nothing that can't be fixed!

I love her energy and her approach. Cool song choice and blend of the punk/rock edge wit her otherwise quite floaty piercing tone. A bit sharp at times so some pitch work probably needed, but the range is there and the notes were hit, ambitious as they were. Interested to see where she can go with some coaching!

Considering the fact that this girl is an amateur, pretty young, and how difficult it can't be to cover the vocals of Hayley.... she did a very good job. Was she perfect? No. Does she need some vocal coaching? Absolutely, that's the whole point of the show. They can help her with pitch and tone. But, she did great for an audition piece. Obviously, since she had chairs turn for her!

When I first watched this I was blown away and didn't understand why she didn't turn 4. When I just listened in my car I got it, she really PUSHED to hit those top notes and was beginning to lose it ever so slightly. These are all slightly pitch corrected and I could hear trembling but the final high note was perfect. Still deserved more then 2. Remember Amber Carrington? In a season of 4 chair turns I think she could easily slay 2 4 chair turners. Fingers crossed.

Also, Gwen not turning around even she might know the song is understandable.
This is a tough song to sing but I think she did pretty well. There were some pitchy moments on those high notes

I LOVE her!...people have to remember that its REALLY hard to perform only one song!... and look where they are!...so, i feel like if theyre a little bit pitchy, in their song- its pretty normal, even if u have a phenominal voice!...nerves can probably do that!-...and, they only get ONE try!...its crazy! ...so much pressure! 😊...i think shes incredible!
