Nice! You should add calibrated marks on the rod

You may use heat shrink tube when soldering wires, it makes solders more reliable, safe and better looking :)

The best solution is always the simplest. Nice!

Typically on machines with limit switches like this they push from the side. So if your rod had a ring on it and the switch was mounted such that it contacted the switch on the side of the ring. But if it over traveled (For some reason) it could go past the switch without destroying the switch and possibly the mount for the switch. That said your way is simpler and so what if it destroyed the switch they are not expensive.

+1 for the sideways switch with a roller! Roller arm limit switches are dirt cheap and you don't have to worry about the rod unintentionally smashing through the switch if the contacts wear out :)

That's a really clever solution, i'm honestly surprised it was so easy to add in. Well done!

I was expecting some kind of potentiometer connected to logic board and pedals where you set height, but adjustable rod that is hitting switch works too.

i would suggest that you put 2 switches on the same level, in series, so that if one fails, the other one still work. these micro switches arent known for reliable, double the switch, ^2 the reliability.

No, no, you'd better put five of them there, then it's only a certainty😉.

The concept is very simple but I love how versatile it allows the press to do its job. I wonder if there's a company-made limiter or some kind of measuring equipment for this sort of thing in the market, because I feel like this would be very useful. Eh, more opportunity for you I say. Very well done!!

I'd use a heavier duty switch that would handle the constant contact. It looked kind of vulnerable to breaking. My two cents. Great concept that works@

Bella soluzione. Ho visto che comunque devi comandare il movimento con due pedali. Potresti usare lo switch per invertire il movimento e alzare la pressa quando essa ha raggiunto lo spessore ….
