I enjoyed this interview. Unfortunately the new crop of artists just NOT LISTENING. Yuh can't tell dem anything. Few songs ran up the poles through social media have them thinking that they have arrived. In addition to that, they all want to be top gangsters and artists at the same time. As opposed to the money being a springboard for a better life and to elevate themselves and those around them to better, it's as thought it becomes an anchor heighing them down further into the toxic life. Sometimes it's as though it's better they had remained poor and struggling. The mindset needs to change but they have to want that change. Dancehall right now is stagnant but because there a few ripples people think it's flowing. It's not. It was a river, now it's a pond. Reggae and dancehall birthed hip-hop, which birthed trap and drill and all the sub-genres and our artists have fully moved away from the original and ran off with the bastards while those reaping success is still looking to the originals for inspiration AND profiting heavily.
