I am a 78 year OLD WOMAN, and I would like to keep the freedoms I used to have to go to toilets, changing places etc., and let my daughter go to them as well, without being confronted by a male in a dress! In all these discussions women are losing our rights and are having to compete with men in sports etc. Where are the men with back bones who should be helping women fighting these things.

Naomi Umunna ..indeed the trans girls could go to a mixed school. The all girls school was set up for biological girls, based on the biological differences between boys and girls. And had nothing to do with anyone’s thoughts or feelings e.g; how they identify.
I can’t enter a lions den because I feel like or identify as a lion. I’d be eaten alive. Biological facts and differences do exist and they do matter. And then can’t be overridden by thoughts and feelings, politeness and courtesy.

I come from an age where we knew very early in life the difference between men and women, I thought it was a very easy concept to grasp, turns out my generation were all geniuses because today it really has 'em stumped.
I have daughters and I’m really disgusted with anybody with a male organ going to the same restroom with my girls.

@Macavity It might happen to every girl in many areas. The odds of having a single trans "girl" in a school are high, now. There's one in my gym, which I noticed unavoidably because of the genitalia outlined in the female spandex outfit. Same for my last gym. Perhaps in any building with hundreds of members and a changing room are likely to have it happen. It's not rare at all now.
Around 8 years ago this changing room issue was brought up as a controversy and the response against outrage was to call it a fuss about nothing because it only happens once in a blue moon. The prevalence must be 1000x what it was then. Rarity was always never a good argument. I'm starting to suspect people who use it do so because they are hiding from the argument.
I went to wash my hands after using the loo in a female bathroom at the shopping centre and this man was standing beside me washing his hands. I suppose he identified as "Trans" but he looked like a bloke to me. No effort to look like a woman. What was I supposed to feel? That it was all okay? I used to only worry about sending my boy into the men's toilet...now we have to worry about sending the girls into the girls toilet because there could be a biological man in there posing as a woman, but with a very active, usable penis on board.
No such thing as a trans-child in the real world - just increasing numbers of emotionally damaged ones.
I agree. Most of them seem to have been groomed into thinking they are 'trans' online. I was in school and college in the 80s and 90s - how is it that I didn't see one young person out of all of my fellow students who felt like they were the opposite sex? There was no mainstream internet use then, that's why. These days it's an epidemic.
Some TRAs argue that the kids would have stayed quiet about their 'trans' status back then as it wasn't as accepted as it is now but if that's the case, how were there not mass suicides occurring amongst youngsters? I thought any so called trans kid is supposed to feel suicidal if their preferred identity is not affirmed? The activists threaten parents of confused kids by telling them if they don't let them 'transition', they will kill themselves. Thus you have parents being forced to let their children go through all kinds of harmful medical procedures and surgeries. I fear the future will see so many de-transitioning young people who will have damaged their bodies, minds and ability to procreate. It's a massive scandal in the making.

Male is not how you are perceived by society. If I shave my hair (like I've done before) and someone call me a boy or a man (like it has happened). No man should be in a women’s prison. These women are among the most vulnerable people in society and they need the protection of a single sex environmant.

I've recently seen a woman on twitter answering this point with: prisons are violent places and so what if men call themselves women and are sent to women's prisons, given the nature of those institutions? She would not accept that women in prsions were vulnerable at all. I think that's disgusting and appallingly misogynist.

At the moment we can have a male sex offender claiming to identify as a women get sent to a woman's prison get access to women many of whom are survivors of sexual abuse and then assault/rape them. This is criminal negligence on the part of the authorities and I can see the taxpayer having to payout millions in compensation in the near future.
In Scotland, said male sex offender can identify as a woman but when the victim of his sex offence mis-genders him (his newly acquired gender) whilst giving testimony, may be prosecuted for 'hate speech'.

A lawyer I saw here on GB News spoke about a judge in a case that involved women prisoners complaining about a trans m2f person in their jail who were said by the judge they were just being hysterical and attention seeking. The women's complaints were valid, yet this is was what they were up against. Out in the real world the number of sexual attacks on women by what is termed as other women has shot up.

This same actual YouGov poll asks a few questions. Where they ask about pre-op people using opposite sex facilities, the numbers go right down. This is from July 2020, so I think a few more people are getting fed up with the compelled speech and the risks to women & children.

It's an obvious solution to the problem but a dangerous one of it backfires. Based solely on the polling he presented, women almost overwhelmingly agree that trans women are women. IF the polling isn't accurate it brings up the issue of the majority voting on the rights of a minority.
Let mothers of the kids in all girls schools decide.

@@justinm2697 Woman here. You raise a point. While the majority of people who are vocally gender-critical are female, it seems that a majority of trans allies are also female. We tend to be higher in agreeableness and are more invested in social cohesion and what our peers think of us, making us less likely to voice positions deemed controversial or lacking compassion. So the verdict could go either way.
Having said that, YouGov polls (and polls in general - look at the predictions around Brexit, Trump, etc.) are notoriously inaccurate. What’s the sample size? What were the demographics? Where did the poll source its voters? If it’s based on Twitter, we know that this is a platform that skews overwhelmingly to one political side, and is not representative of wider society.

Early teenage girls are dealing with starting their periods. The toilet and changing rooms are vital to give them privacy during what can often be a difficult time for some girls. It's not fair for them if there are biological males turning up in these private places.
