Guy's voice actor (Yasunori Matsumoto) would have been a great Luke/Asch - he's really good at playing both noisy goobers (Gourry) and gravelly badasses... I can just see Asch growling "Shinha Mougeki Reppa!" like Folka does in Super Robot Wars.
They are talking about their auditions for their characters. Suzuki talks about how he had no idea as to the setting and how Luke looked like since there was no picture and then that he was told to use Shibuya as an image. Guy's seiyuu apparently was aiming for Luke/Asch role.

Probably incredibly late of an answer but when you wrote this I am pretty sure Xillia was about recently announced for over here or just about to and next week it WILL be here. And even bigger news we're oficially getting Symphonia Chronicles HD and Xillia 2 is also announced. SO yeah, we're not forgotten... in the console side anyway. We still have zero announcements for the handheld-only Tales games.
