I support ALL HBCU bands and glad they represent US period. They all have their own style, their own sauce and represent us in different ways regions of the country WELL. Peridots. REPRESENT ALL HBCUS
Every time I fall in love with one HBCU cadence here comes another one to steal my heart!!! 😂 I’m sorry but A& T soooo sick with it!! Those bass drums just boom like thunder and the rest of the drum line sound like the perfect storm ⛈️
Yes!!! In high school, my band director made sure he had us in shape, and we'd have to practice repeatedly as he talked through the bullhorn, yelling from the stands, "90 degrees! Back row, get it right! Auxiliary dancers, your formation isn't right enough!" He knew what he was doing b/c he graduated from Howard!!! We loved and respected him for challenging us! 👏🏽
I do....my son left his high school band close to 300 solid pounds on the trumpet, went to PVAMU...I looked past him looking for him 😂. He was standing in front of me the whole time smiling. He had lost half of himself. During the spring and summer breaks he would go to the Gym and walk on the treadmill for hours and NOT be out of breath 😮. Hats off to all of the HBCU'S Marching Bands

I love watching these videos. Living in the Northwest I wished I had an opportunity to attend HBCU when I was younger. Watching these videos my heart swell with pride and joy of perfection and dedication of these young people.

On vacation, for 2 weeks in Ireland, playing golf, 2006, I was in Dublin for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! It wasn’t A&T, but a Black High School marching Band! They were Awesome! It was the best part of the parade!
ive just started watching these marching band videos as thing its all new to me being from the uk it is well impressive but I watched a few vids from different colleges and I'm still to see any instrument apart from drums or percussion being played what's the deal with that when do the horns join in.
If only the other instruments in many bands, besides percussion, would play while marching out. It would be more mesmerizing, like The Human Juke Box or The Marching 100 EXITS.
