HU is very classy. There was no booing or their band trying to play over NCAT drum cadence. I love the respect they gave them. I hate when other HBCU don't act accordingly. I get the rilvary with other HBUs but HU did it with respect.
Why? Just because of band battles? 🤣🤣 out all programs who's given the least amount of funding this is your only reason ....please.. A&T is known for more than just our band that's where we stand out from the rest of HBCUs. And it's not just about football. Being out the MEAC helps our other sport teams as well. Schools leave conferences to tap into better athletic pools in other sports as well as football y'all don't know nothing need to hush. Hampton and A&T on a new level. They didn't need the likes of Deion aka Prime to put them in the conversation they been known
@@ericford6383 I agree it’s good for the school as a whole but not so good for the band. I went to NCAT and marched in the band. The band needs the rivalries to stay sharp and relevant.
@@AB_1211 It’s harder to be sharp or relevant without opponents. It’s possible but it sure is much harder. Who did NCAT play today? What coverage will they get (outside of their own) for today’s game? What other drum sections has Cold Steel battled this year?
Progression is why A&T and Hampton left the MEAC there was no future staying when you have bigger ambitions and putting your institution out there. As a former MEAC athlete of A&T back in the early 90s. It's about being competitive in the best kind of way. We gain excess to 4 and 5 star athletes.
The move is good for the school as a whole but bad for the band. Lack of hbcu competition is hurting the band technically and from a social media standpoint.
Do you really think that 4-5 stars are coming to A&T? How long will this transition take? Have you attended any of the games other than an HBCU opponent? TSU fell into that same trap. Don’t blame the fan base for not attending boring games. Oh by the way, do you know the team’s record?
@@rawlintate1783 like I said, I think the move is great for the school. It means more money, better educational facilities, and a better stock of athletes. It’s bad for the band though. NCATs band has few opponents to improve itself against, it has taken the band out of the black culture, its media presence has declined, and it has destroyed the traditional rivalries. All these things kept a sharp edge on the band. NCATs band is in decline for those reasons. The band is still good but not what it was years ago.
@@rawlintate1783 of course I know the team's record, what do u expected it to be when under a new coach and basically a new team as those who hit the transfer portal as a result. They are under a new regime basically like starting over. A&T hasn't always had an excellent football program and neither A&T nor Hampton are Tennessee St. A&T is different from the others because they have that rich history unlike Hampton and Tennessee St. Whose dominance is more current. Why wouldn't a 4 or 5 star athlete wouldn't come to A&T a strength of a conference matters dude. The MEAC and the SWAC is at the bottom man they will never receive the respect they both deserve not because they are a HBCUs but they are in weak competitive conferences.
Aggie born, Aggie Bred. We have always had such an outstanding band. I was once a Majorette in the late 70's.

How I wish NCAT was still in an HBCU conference.
Yes yes and yes !

Really? So they can't be sharp and relevant without MEAC or SWAC?? And you checked with Dr Ruff about that? @@Avery-Mac 🤣

The Drum Majors are always on point…👊🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
You love to see the directors have that passion for what they do it shows at the start of the transition marching cadences
Loved it. The band sounds great and as always, I love to watch the drum majors. I worked on campus until 2000. I'm glad I found this video.
LOL@ the Director running like the DM's

@Avery-Mac All this is simply NOT TRUE! T has been out of the MEAC conference for 2 yrs now. And is still being ranked in the top of HBCU bands!
Percussion on point
I too HATE the move out of the MEAC.
👏🏽❤🔥
Aggie Pride!
Tyler Mac hbcu is my home y’all
Что за рассизм?
I live in Texas and SWAC bands are just like the people down south....NO Class!!
