Excellent video. It explained most of the nuances with pulling and investment cost as to Karenina. However, one thing you forgot to mention is that what separates Scire and Tenebrion is the QTE. While Tenebrion applies the dark shred to one enemy (sometimes 2 or 3 if they are perfectly aligned), Karen does it to all enemies within the black hole due to her gathering effect. In PPC it won't change anything, but in Warzone it is crucial, because you need to apply the dark shred evenly to all to swiftly move on to the next wave. Moreover, her QTE has a grouping effect that is present as well with No. 21, albeit the latter has a lower dark shred. That's my main reason why I'm pulling for her. I run 21 as my tank in WZ but her 5 seconds, 10% dark shred is hardly enough to fully run with Luna's core passive. And impossible if you add it to the latter's Signature Move. Tenebrion while having a 25% dark shred, costs a few seconds to set up and on-field he tends to scatter all the enemies; which messes up the small AOE effect Luna's core does. For those who are monthly pass holders, competitive and run the META dark team, I don't advise skipping Karenina.
@@snail8904 Welp, that depends on your investment in the dark team, if your Selena is not SSS, the tank and the healer are mainly QTE slaves since Luna is the main source of damage. And of course it matters, a N21 SSS+ as a QTE slave can be better than an S Kamui, if you know how to use the dark team. Now imagine a Karen S who has better stats than N21 SSS+
@@hermanwillem7057 Depending on the case, Kamui in SS lowers Dark resistance by 25% as long as his Dark form is activated. SSS+ 21 is only 10%. In my opinion and experience, Kamui is better for PPC and single & double enemy type WZ while SSS/SSS+ 21 is better for the WZ with a large number of enemies per Wave. This is because Kamui's QTE is slow (3s) and only attacks one or two enemies at a time, meanwhile 21 QTE is faster (2.1s) and does area damage, so it lowers the resistance of all enemies in the wave, and you can spam it. The technique for 21 to be effective in that type of WZ is to apply her QTE as much as you can, taking advantage of Da Vinci in Vera and Luna Passive. You use Luna, you enter Dark form with her, both QTEs activate, you apply 21's QTE , you wait a second or two, apply Vera's QTE, and again apply 21's QTE activated via DV

I messed up my bc order just because of the tenebrion skin. The reason was because i used him since i started the game (around 1 year) and he carried me through so much content i felt like i had a debt to him. Also his ending cam is so cute.

My newbie *** chose Kamui when I first got the S rank selector just because he look cool and got him again right after on beginner banner. 😂 🤣... I don't know he stay in dark form indefinitely when we switch him out. My dark team run would've been so much smoother if I knew this before. 🤦🏼♂️
I don't even need to think about it. When I started playing this game in February this year I watched a few videos by that one guy who styles on bosses with 1 character. I made a list of goals that I absolutely have to achieve before finishing my journey with this game. #1 Alpha Alter #2 Bianca Alter #3 Hammernina I do not go for high scores, it's enough if I can have some fun in WZ and beat nasty bosses in PPC. Story mode usually gives you characters to play which leaves events, babel and norman. Besides that I go for the looks, the feel and the general awesomeness. Karen Scire has all of that. But I will forever call her Radiant Daybreak, even though Scire's word etymology means pretty much the same. Anyway see you in game, hammering and bonking away. If you don't pull her then more Karenina's ass for me. I mean sass. I meant sass.
Even though I've been playing PGR for more than a year, only now have I learned about the role Tanks play in PGR. This brings me the question, is it possible for @GrayRavenRadio to cover PGR Team Rotations and how it works? I think it'd be really helpful in general
It’s good to have an unbiased take on things. People on Reddit are just skipping her because she’s such a high investment character, but instead of explaining, they just go “you need SS3 and her signature weapon or else she’s useless”.
Karenina isn't really skippable because she's bad. Even at SS0 +Signature weapon, she's still a direct upgrade over Tenebrion. Her problem is the fact she has so much functionality locked behind investment and ranks. SS0+sig barely deals more damage than Tenebrion's unimpressive damage, so she's only a marginal incresse. And if you can't get the weapon she's worse than him. Only at SS3+Sig does she become a significant upgrade over tenebrion. She does however benefit WAY more from investment. She's probably the unit that benefits the most from investment in the game right now.
Yeah... I'm skipping, 9k BC I don't want to pull for weapon either I'm fine using 21 really(but I'm also a masochist and my dark team consists of Vera, Luna and Selena lol). I'm saving up for Bianca then Alpha after that thankfully I'm only interested in Alisa and Lamia so I can focus in memories and resonances

dont forget sss is 4 bianca=60k BC+7.5k for weapon+5k for the pet and if you want a real meta team, you need luminance+rosetta with both having sig weapon and resonance to unlock full potential of physical team, which is impossible for f2p or you just never pull in the last 4 patch
The pet is really good too, it can double ult damage, and provides strong gather in warzone, Karenina misses out on a big chunk of damage if no pet, plus enemy spread in warzone can really hurt her core passive not being able to hit all enemies
@@ohreally69 what is this argument 💀The pet literally doubles karen base ult damage, and how is Luna going to gather enemies when she is not even on the field, only her ult can do that and you dont use ult unless your Luna is SSS+ after daren. Go research before trying to make a point

I must say that your explanation is perfect but you must understand that the majority and the majority of the player base does not have enough money to take out their weapon and their ss3 at most they can take out their weapon, that is why the comparison with tenebrion karen SS+ her weapon is slightly better, so it does not justify its investment, especially if there is the anniversary chest that guarantees 100% to any character S

I’m not trying to skip her. I actually want her Scire frame. I don’t even have her ember frame unlocked. I want to unlock her and use her a lot. Even though it’s only a character it’s best to give her some attention and make her stronger. There’s a wish list option available but I want to get Lucia Crimson Weaver that’s coming in the global version. It’s risky sacrificing my BC and construct tickets because I have enough for 40 pulls.
Now that they revealed her idol skin in 3.5 anniversary stream, I’m deciding whether I wanna get Bianca’s gacha coating or Karen’s (can’t get both since f2p issues sad😢)

In the first year, Tenebrion had better utility than Luminance. In fact, near the beginning Luminance was actually outclassed by Liv: Eclipse! Thanks to Luminance's Leap Buff, she'll finally the best Physical Support (until Alisa).
Probably i will get her to SS3 for now and just later upgrade her more.On CN at Abystigma banner or 2,5 anniversary they got free S rank and S rank weapon selector up to Luna so this will be my moment to get my Rosetta to SSS and get Bianca as high as i can.
the good thing with dark team is there are passable tank alternatives (SS teneb, SSS 21) but fire team, phys team, ice team? literally no one lmao id have to get nanamech and glory before her...maybe ill consider her in 2024 august after lamia xD
As a F2P here's why I'm skipping her 1-she's expensive and even if she's an upgrade you won't see damage until ss3+sig 2- I'm aiming for abystigma and hyperreal and thier sigs so I already need at least 180 pull💀 3-in May 2024 there will be a 100% banner for every character and after by 2 months we will be getting lamia (the new dark dps) so I can get her from there And for those who will ask why I'm not going to get CW I don't have any team members for the lighting team and I don't want to start getting it sooooo yeah I'm sorry CW lovers she's an amazing character tho I can't deny it

Each element has its own "shred" name, but that didn't used to be the case! Every character had some random shred name before, making it really complicated to figure out their movesets. Luckily they are now uniform among each element.
F2P here 🙋♂️ I have 3 reasons why I need to skip her 1. She's kinda expensive if u want her to be that good (yes 6* weapon is already expensive as a F2P) 2. I need Bianca Abystigma/Hyperreal/CW and their Weapon 3. I need Dark Liv and Bianca coating (I'm sick of following too much meta I need some eye candy 💀) I'll probably get her later if I can tho, but for now l will cope with Kamui SS 😂

Hi GR radio, so I was contemplating who to pull in wish target, and it's only scire that I'm missing. Watching this vid made me convinced long ago that teneb is fine but I can't get myself to use resources on him. I rewatched this to see if I really don't need scire, but I saw something in PGR site that you haven't mentioned here. SS Scire got additional 15% dark shred for 3s. Does that make her max shred reach 40%? Thanks. PS: Checked just now that SSS also gives 5% dmg reduction for 8s.

The pet is really good too, it can double ult damage, and provides strong gather in warzone, Karenina misses out on a big chunk of damage if no pet, plus enemy spread in warzone can really hurt her core passive not being able to hit all enemies
The pet is only needed if you're using Karen as your main dps.....if she is sub dps,you don't really need it because Luna can gather enemies too

karen SS+ her weapon is slightly better, so it does not justify its investment, especially if there is the anniversary chest that guarantees 100% to any character S

Why tho? Unless you literally just started playing or wasted all your BC recently you are able to get both of them without issues, especially since the anniversary comes with extra free pulls.

I’m not trying to skip her. I actually want her Scire frame. I don’t even have her ember frame unlocked. I want to unlock her and use her a lot. Even though it’s only a character it’s best to give her some attention and make her stronger. There’s a wish list option available but I want to get Lucia Crimson Weaver that’s coming in the global version. It’s risky sacrificing my BC and construct tickets because I have enough for 40 pulls.

Although the value of Karen vs Luna became clear, can you comment on how Selena fits into all of this? Does Karen have downtime? If so, is it better filled by S Luna or SSS Selena? Should you even bother with SSS Selena if going for SS3 Karen?

In the first year, Tenebrion had better utility than Luminance. In fact, near the beginning Luminance was actually outclassed by Liv: Eclipse! Thanks to Luminance's Leap Buff, she'll finally the best Physical Support (until Alisa).

the good thing with dark team is there are passable tank alternatives (SS teneb, SSS 21) but fire team, phys team, ice team? literally no one lmao id have to get nanamech and glory before her...maybe ill consider her in 2024 august after lamia xD

As a F2P here's why I'm skipping her
1-she's expensive and even if she's an upgrade you won't see damage until ss3+sig
2- I'm aiming for abystigma and hyperreal and thier sigs so I already need at least 180 pull💀
3-in May 2024 there will be a 100% banner for every character and after by 2 months we will be getting lamia (the new dark dps) so I can get her from there
And for those who will ask why I'm not going to get CW I don't have any team members for the lighting team and I don't want to start getting it sooooo yeah I'm sorry CW lovers she's an amazing character tho I can't deny it
No way you don't have Liv Lux and Chrome Archlight. These two even enough do some QTE for CW

I played this for a year and didn't know dark shred has a buff name Chian fusion
Each element has its own "shred" name, but that didn't used to be the case! Every character had some random shred name before, making it really complicated to figure out their movesets. Luckily they are now uniform among each element.

I have 3 reasons why I need to skip her
1. She's kinda expensive if u want her to be that good (yes 6* weapon is already expensive as a F2P)
2. I need Bianca Abystigma/Hyperreal/CW and their Weapon
3. I need Dark Liv and Bianca coating (I'm sick of following too much meta I need some eye candy 💀)
I'll probably get her later if I can tho, but for now l will cope with Kamui SS 😂

Hi GR radio, so I was contemplating who to pull in wish target, and it's only scire that I'm missing. Watching this vid made me convinced long ago that teneb is fine but I can't get myself to use resources on him. I rewatched this to see if I really don't need scire, but I saw something in PGR site that you haven't mentioned here. SS Scire got additional 15% dark shred for 3s. Does that make her max shred reach 40%? Thanks.
PS: Checked just now that SSS also gives 5% dmg reduction for 8s.

The 7500 bc for signature weapon is not really accurate because there is still the 20% offrate which is very accurate to unlucky commandants😂
