- It was an epic, intense and really bumpy bus ride going from Kathmandu, Nepal to the little village of Syabrubesi to start my trek in beautiful Langtang National Park in the Himalayas of northern Nepal.

Brutal Bus Trip From Kathmandu to the Himalayas
I made a 70 minute movie about my incredible trek in the Himalayas of Nepal. You can watch it here:

I enjoy your amazing videos so very much. Cancer may have me down and out for now, but I plan on beating it and getting back to traveling as soon as possible.
Get well soon. 🙏
Stay Strong !!
Go for it, Sierra. Beat that cancer and we’ll see you out there!
Wow. You are amazing. Great spirits. Wish you well soon. Love from India.

Gabe always whispered in public transportation. True traveler.
He's Canadian. Nice guy
i always fart in public transportation
Stand O I thought he was from California
it's endearing - as my gran used to whisper like that from time to time..
In most countries , it is considered rude to talk on public transport, especially trains
Gabe, I say this with Love and Respect, but........................YOU ARE NUTS !!!!!
I was gripping the arms of my chair, just watching how close that Bus was driving to the edge of those cliffs.
@ Griff Mustard
This is one of the joys of traveling across the pond.
I love it.
The whole Himalayan belt has roadways like this...we are in mercy of mountains for safe travelling 😇🙏
You Guys are better than our Government. Travel vloggers like you are showing the whole world about our country but our Government is doing nothing and Visit Nepal 2020 is now about to begin. Thanks for coming to Nepal and always try to show the real facts and don't forget to mention the bad things so that we can improve from our side. Thanks Sir!
Why Nepalese people always rely on their Government ?
It s the local people 's responsibility to fix their neighborhood. I can give you some examples of a few Nepalese communities who have taken care of themselves. Like Bhaktapur, Patan. Locals organize programs to clean and fix structures there.
So learn from your own Nepalese people.
@@antigravity6 because we know our right but dont know about our responsibility
@@antigravity6 government should work for those who are helpless and hopeless . Most people dont even give a fuck about your comments so better go and see.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to Gabriel and his subscribers from another guy currently in this fantastic country of NEPAL. Your videos inspire people to travel bro!
You're in Nepal now? Nice, enjoy. Try to stay warm, I know it isn't easy.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Chitwan now, still cold during the night. You are right about the roads, saw a big truck on its side today and another smashed up on the roadside, stay safe!
I hope you guys feel welcomed here. Enjoy the stay. My apologies for any difficulties. Have fun...
Anthony Guarino Nepali celebrates any holidays. They just like to enjoy :)
Merry Christmas Gabriel from Virginia 🎄🎅🎄🤶🎄 What an epic bus trip! So inspiring and the music you chose to accompany the video was wonderful. Namaste. 🌱🌱🌳🌳
Namaste is a salutations for the beginning of conversation. Anyway glad that you know our namaste 🙏
You know what you want and where to go. You will have a bright future!
Wow Gabriel! That road is no joke, but the view is beautiful! Enjoy the holiday season and all the best in 2020 🤗🤗
Gabriel you are legend
True travellers never complain, they enjoy the happenings around them.
Those views are more then breathtaking... just wow
dangerous trip. Small lunch, expensive. We should have sended some Polish workers and engineers to help them build the roads.. Gabriel, I am glad you are still coming back. Well going into the mountain, you are also risking your life as well.
myassessment adres if it was any risk why'd he repeat same trial as five years back. There are more than 10 such trekking trials.
@@sarojdeuja8014 Yah, very interesting, but scary to me. climbing is not for the faint - hearted. He is soo strong.
@myassessment adres he is not climbing mountains. He is trekking to the base camp of mountains. Thats it.... little bit of walking and trekking . Yeah chicken hearted people will fall back for sure.🤪
@@sarojdeuja8014 I was at the foot of the Himalaya more then 22 years ago. I can not say that I found it easy. And I was younger then I am now. But sure you as a man should try this for once, I was adventurous and curious as well.

Thank you for posting these. It makes me feel more confident I can navigate & trek in Nepal (my first time) in late February. Such excellent vlogging!
I like the transition at 12:22 from the end of the song, into the view of you from below and the fade in to the new sound.
Bro... please know that you are on Himalayan ghats not on mumbai- lonavala 6 line express highway.....!!!
This kind of vlog presents the real place as opposed to tourism ads. Helps to decide before travelling.
there you go again with the fantastic soundtrack
I just love your choices of music Gabe! The quality of your videos just get better and better‼️
Greeting to Gabe from New York City USA...Keep up the great adventures , which i follow, assiduously. Be minded that a healthy prostate keeps you going...lol
I’m soooooo pumped for this adventure💪💪💪💪💪. This unfortunately is still on my bucket list because I’m constantly putting other trips where I don’t have to test my ability to holdup at altitude to chance lol. Next year is either Pakistan, Nepal, or something completely opposite like Brazil or the Philippines🤷🏽♂️ either way I’m looking forward to seeing Nepal through your lens once again✌🏽
Add srilanka to the list, if possible
Chris Brown If you’re going to the Philippines go to the rice terraces, and enjoy the mountains. I’m not sure if the ride to the mountains is as dangerous as this but it’s surely beautiful. ( The rice terraces was featured in the ending scene of Avengers the Infinity wars with Thanos)
Merry Christmas Gabe, looking good bro. Fantastic Too see another wonderful and Adventurous journey through the Himalayas, great to see you are having a wonderful time, all the very best for 2020!
It is a privilege and experience to ride a bus on those bumpy roads passing theough thr hills and mountains.....its all about the Adventure and raw nature
Oh man! I felt every bump, twist and turn, but especially bump of that bus ride, as i am laying here fighting a stomach bug. I need lemon ginger tea just for watching it!
I was in Nepal in 1989 the place looks the same. I did the Annapurna trek it was the greatest walk of my life . I tried to take in deep breaths with every step of the way , they called me the locomotive. Hats off to Gabe that bus ride turned me into one sore ass.
Nepal can improve their tourism more by developing infrastructure , roads looking horrible but the amazing views can reduce the tiredness. Hope their government should understand how important it is to develop their infrastructure facilities
Everytime I travel to my home town I have to face the same brutal trip. But you know what the scenery we get to watch during the trip takes all the fear away.
Well, we are developing country, got a lot of infrastructure improvements in hand.
And so the adventure begins...
I love your bus journeys watching the scenery unfold - especially this one . I enjoyed too the singer on the bus - so raw and real.
Gabe, always remember, never take seats beyond or above the rear wheel of the bus. They have the most uncomfortable ride among all other seats.
Psykotic Sure but if you have a full frontal crash the ones in the back are most likely to survive.
@@johnmcenroe1760 That usually applies to high speed accidents on the highway but the roads leading up the Himalayas are mostly not smooth so there is a less chance of a high speed head-on crashes. The common issue is that the roads leading up in elevation are not wide enough so there is a greater chance large vehicles may slip out of the road and roll down a cliff. The bus drivers are quite skilled on these roads, thank fully.
11:30 That Samuel Scott is one good act..👍
Agreed! After this video I checked out all his songs. He's incredible! (Gabriel has good taste in music)
Your negotiations with taxi was whole new level
gab you are the only one who is really traveler man . not only vlogger cheers marry x !
Great video!
I'm forwarding this one to people who complain about public transportation here in BEL
This place looks fascinating, its definitely on the bucket list now! Thanks for the inspiration Gabriel!
I also love traveling everywhere. Good trip. Thank you for sharing.
Thus reminds me if a bus trip I did from Manali to Leh in India. Never been so scared in my life, sheer drops at side of uneven road all the way, bus bouncing back and forth giving you a nice view of all the wreckage of trucks and vehicles at bottom of the valley!,! Haha Worse than any flight I've been on, spectacular scenery tho 🤓
This was insane! How close the bus was to those cliffs! Also, the music was on point. This might be my favorite video fo yours, looking forward for your next adventures.
Great, thanks. :)
What an incredible video of an epic bus journey. Your phenomenal sense of adventure never ceases to amaze me.
I bet that Ginger lemon drink tasted like heaven ... after that bumpy Road 😊👏👏👏
Been taking local buses in Nepal for 24 years...best way to see the real country and meet the real people no matter the ‘discomfort’, love it, love Nepal 💗
Love Gabriel's enthusiasm !
Damm he looked so eager to get to himalayas
This was great, and very reminiscent of videos from years past. Thanks Gabriel !
So exited to see the continuation! Lots of love n best wishes ❤️❤️
❤️Hello... Gabriel... Buon Natale (Merry Christmas) you are fantastic... Another excellent video to see from you... Magnifico... Mille Grazie 💞
Interesting to watch you new trekking videos. I've never been to Langtang. The ride was pumpy, but at least not long. I took a bus from Kathmandu to Salleri. The bus ride was more than 13 hours.
Yeah I've been on much longer bus rides but this one was way worse due to the horrible conditions of the roads. The video didn't quite capture how bad it was. Would have been better if I was in the front of the bus to show what the roads were really like. Horrendous. Huge rocks, massive potholes, for hours and hours.
Yet not so cold, more cold in Delhi nowadays.
Have good time in my country 🇳🇵brother
Welcome 🙏
Enjoy
God bless
Gabriel thank you so much for loving my country. Happy New Year
I am from Nepal but never traveled around much. I knew more about various destinations through vloggers. You are one of the best one. Dammn road gonna give you severe headache 🤕 good luck
The views there are absolutely stunning but there is no denying those roads are uber dangerous.. Trekking up there totally cleaned my soul out , was so good.

Nice bro! That looks like an awesome bus ride experience.
was waiting for your upload from 1 week

Enjoyed the bus trip. When it was over I had to take a couple of Advil for my backache.
00:36 that bus looked like it could have gone down that hill any moment... that's crazy. Thanks for putting this up, one of the most interesting travel vids on YT!

Amazing experience Gabriel! I am planning to visit the Himalayas soon
Finally after a week a new Gabriel Video.. HAHAHAHAH @ Dream Liner.. More like a Bloody NIGHTMARE!!!! Nothing like a 3 min stop to Piss in a Bucket.. Man those roads are Scary, one false step you go over a cliff.... LOL you want "OFF THIS BUS" I'm watching the Video and I want OFF THE BUS!!!!... Safe Travels Gabe... MERRY CHRISTMAS....
No bathroom stop for 4 hours.
Can you imagine if you have “Montesuma’s revenge,” which is very possible in those kind of countries?
Island Girl you can shit behind trees or bushes or rocks
@ manomenon1:
If you’re in the bus with other people they’ll throw you overboard
if you ask the driver to stop every few minutes to shit by the roadside.
I know what I’m talking about.
I'm sure they stop at least 1 time.
Ivied in Indi for 6 months and there is ‘poop’ everywhere including the human kind, lot of it here in Spain my dog is an expert at finding it :-(
I love your Shiva Ji’s Tshirt.. All love from Nepal
Brutal?? My friend you had a live music in that bus!!! 😅🔝👍 Love your travels man!! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅
you have some serious stamina man. your a better man than me, that bus on the edge like that nope. like to go out another way.
I had hemorrhoid cream on standby while watching this
So glad to see you are back in Nepal have really enjoyed watching all your previous trips here.
WOW!!!!!!......Pity the poor guy having to back up on those roads!!!!...N those tyres........have to be ' Super Mario' tyres!!!!....What a ride!!!!!!.....Hats off to you....on this adventure🎉👏😀
fantastic video! i cant believe those villages in those steep slopes?! when i saw where they live, i told myself: never complain again about your life!
Thanks for visiting Nepal
hah, those roads... bringing back good/bad memories... My trip was 8 hours to go 100 miles... looking forward to the next video. Dan
Your videos inspired me to explore Peru and Bolivia in 2016 , on buses like this , i need to get back in shape and on the road again
Background music suited the perfect Himalayan bus ride. Loved it!!
It's funny how the road exiting the city reminded me of the main road in Santo Domingo de Las Tsachilas in Ecuador, which I have to say is the ugliest city I have seen in my travels. Same broken road, filled with truck, bus and agricultural machine service stations on both sides, same ground soiled with grease and trash, even the same awful blue mirror windows in the buildings.
At least in Kathmandu the walls don't have have that green - black color from the mold.
Anyway, the similarity was shocking and I felt like sharing it with you.
Merry Christmas and safe trekking.
No one films the real experience of travel as good as you. Great video thanks
Cool, thanks.
God help with those earthquake half devasted high rise buildings which are still inhabited
Tks for sharing
@2:53 "Say Hello To My little Friend"
Cool, you got to ride on a Dreamliner. I'm looking for my KLM Dreamliner ride next month. I hope mine is smoother. 😉
at @16:19 when he says ''it sucks so bad'' the bus honks at him lol
Heartily welcome to Nepal
Awesome 👍 video, Thanks for sharing Gabriel welcome to Nepal

Lovely smooth bus journey LOL 😆. Thoroughly fascinating to watch.
Gabe gave us a late Christmas present.
