That last duel is why ddd is big brain. Because some times the most big brained option is the simplest one you overlook, because lord knows I would’ve overextended into a full combo and still missed lethal
I would have played into nib a thousand times missed lethal and lost to my opponent's top deck .
Yep, it's easy to follow the flowchart combos but it's really rewarding to actually learn the ins and outs of the deck

I un-ironically love this game. Every time im in ranked and see a blue eyes or dm deck i know that im facing a King. One of us.
Personally when a face a blue or dm it's practically a free win and it never miss
The D/D/D player not only mastering their combo lines and cards effect. He also can count the damage perfectly.
Magical Hound in earth machine is awesome. Can remove a floodgate and special summon itself and with Machina Gearframe can make Naturia Beast, or with Metalcruncher can make Baronne for the low cost of an Urgent chedule.
That first duel shows why I loved Dragonmaids and used it on ladder for so long. It is very resilient, not the strongest, and definitely can't put out strong boards. But it bounces back well.
If you have a deck that needs its normal summon...don't run Lava Golem. Otherwise, it's an excellent card that can do more than Kaijus but doesn't have the trappings of Sphere Mode. I still see people purposely end on a board of 2 to get around Sphere Mode. Lava Golem is also one of the reasons why the dedicated Relinquished deck isn't terrible. Even on a board of 3...you LG over two of their threats and put it in front of an open EMZ, summon OG Relinquished or Future Fusion into TER, suck up the remaining mon...then link off for Anima. I pulled super well in early Master Duel with Relinquished support stuff in Master Packs and it easily took me to Plat.
I was sad the video was over after the dragonmaid game, but it turns out you blessed us with not 1, not 2, but 3 entire replays. Thank you so much!
That was by far the worst playing of Dragonmaids I've ever seen. but Duelist B not giving a shit about Lava Golem for that whole game was pretty funny.

I know as a DM player, Blue-Eyes players and I are Eternal Rivals(tm), but I will always root for Blue-eyes players whenever I see them.

As a pure Dragonmaid player, I have to say I'm frankly shocked at how stacked the Blue-Eyes/Dragonmaid matchup is in Dragonmaid's favor, at least from my experience (though part of that may be due to the fact that Blue Eyes players can't read). House/Sheou are great at interrupting Blue Eyes plays, and have just _barely_ enough attack that they can't just beat over it.
Some interesting tech choices in that Dragonmaid deck, though I don't think Lava Golem is a good synergy. Dragonmaids often have to use their normal summon to get momentum going or recover from a board wipe, which renders Lava Golem as dead weight. A Kaiju would be more consistent overall. Ah, but what's the point of critiquing this rando's deck?
The point would be to add context for those who don't actually run maids. The guy really needed to get nurse into rotation much earlier would have been getting two free Maids out every turn instead of one. That would allow him to get another sphere or DPE into play maybe even a properly summoned house for chamber plays. The deck building was also a bit weird. Having more than one Fusion spell is a waste almost every single time although I am a big fan of welcome and I'm glad to see someone else use it
@@ertawanderer1062 having 2 change over is better in my opinion bcuz of some people who know dragonmaids will banish the change over and also welcome super underrated imo
@@pafu-201 that requires them to not only know Dmaids(most people really really don't) but to have a method of banishing spells. the only common banish is called by which you can bait out or sheou slaps that if they try to hit change.
i love welcome, the reason it's underated is it's a grind card. most yugioh players are trying for OTK but that is not the strength of Dmaids. we can out grind anyone there are very few decks that can compete with us in the long game we are just way to good at recursion.
From a Blue-Eyes main, it depends on if the otk can be reached after the negates/interruptions. Some games, even the ol halq/don boards aren't enough, and others, might as well build a home with all of the bricks drawn..

The Dragonmaid player most likely not summoning Lava because they trying to keep the advantage. Jet going to keep coming out anyway, so, might as well get resources to GY and hand with Parlor and Chamber rather than "lol Golem eat dragons yummy".
