As soon as I saw you got the matte black Les Paul. I have the same one but with green trim I'm surprised you didn't plug it in before you opened up the other one you showed amazing restraint God bless you . End with the abalone. I'm from the South Shore of Boston so it was about a second and a half into the video that everybody knew you from the East Coast definitely got New York in there I'm saying you're almost Rhode Island border Maybe Rhode Island Fall River. You're going to love that Matt Les Paul
I hope your FFLP is as good as my example. The unit I received is hands down the best ultra budget guitar I have ever played. Everyone who plays it is amazed. The set through neck joint and belly cut make it super comfy to play. I honestly can't find any quality issues of any kind. It's an amazing guitar.
My FFLPS is amazing! Out the box the thing plays flawlessly. Fretwork is amazing. Their FFST (strat styles) seem to need a bit of work at times (still great for the the price). But their Les Paul style they have definitely nailed down and you can't beat them for the price.
@Lyrical-Impact , I can definitely agree with that. I just got one of the new FFST burst relic models, and it needs some work. Definitely needs a fret level and set up. But it's still impressive for the $$$'s. The FFLP and FF338 seem to be their strongest offerings. I think I may try an FFLX out of the next batch. I like their set neck stuff, and their "Explorer" shape actually looks decent.
Love that galaxy strat. If I didn't own 2 strats already, 1 of which is a HSS, I'd be ordering one now. I'd probably replace just about everything on it but it's a great looking guitar.
About 6 months ago, I purchased the FFST in Nature White. What I got was what was pictured. I'm from New Mexico, and the finish I can best describe as a "Whitewash". The grain comes thru really well and the white has very light streaks of blue which highlights the grain really well as it is a thin finish. Swamp Ash body and this guitar is damn heavy. Heavier than my 2012 Gibson LP 50's Standard by almost a 1/2 pound coming in at 9.8 Lbs. On the day I bought this one, the listing ended and did not reappear again until recently. In fact...I believe it would have been the batch that you purchased yours from. If what you've heard is true, that what they are calling the Nature White...is what you have, then I would consider returning it until such time that this finish in Swamp Ash becomes available again. One of the constants about Firefly guitars is...the finishes are often not available again after the first issue. At the time of this comment...this guitar in the Nature White is no longer available. Good luck...!! Dred
Was tempted by the ash "natural white" to rehab the finish: wipe it down with acetone to soften up the color coat, paint it black/ebony to fill the grain, sand it back until you've either got a white/black doghair or take it to wood and have a base for Mary Kay or clear with dark filled grain where the grain was deepest. They were gone b4 I cursed myself with such a happy task, lol
I’ve been watching their website looking for the black LP matte color, but I’ve not seen it. Just ordered the natural wood LP model. Any guidance on finding the black matte LP model again? Agreed, the frets are so impressive and very smooth. Great video.
I got the matte black LP last month when it was on their site (they've since sold out). I was also eyeing the spalted maple LP which was not available until this past week or so, and I snagged one of those too. Will do an unboxing on that soon. But I would imagine they will have more matte black available in the near future. Seems they produce them in batches but some sell out quicker than others. Thanks for watching!
Man they are awesome. I have 3 fflp's guitars. And 2 double cut dual P90's from about 6 years ago when they first started and recently a few months ago got my smokey burst lp style and in my opinion nothing comes close for the price. Even throwing price out window every one I know including myself puts the fflp's in the 500 - 800 dollar Epiphone range. Even beating a lot of Epiphone's.
Very informative video. Thanks. Could you please send me the specs of your FFST tremolo bar (length / thread size), they did not include one with my guitar but made good for me to purchase one. However, I don't know what size. Thanks always for you videos and time. God bless!
Love the black LP man! I cannot believe the quality of these guitars for $200! I was lucky enough to snag one of the Adam Jones FFLPs that were available for maybe 24 hrs. Not sure how many people even know about it. Def needed some work but all I can say now is holy crap!!! Video about it on my channel if interested.
The spill canvas! Nice! I finally ordered a firefly tele and I am really excited to play it!

14:15 I'm really thinking about getting this one. I have a strat already but it's in need of some work, and I could use another guitar for the price
