Dogtown is still open and you can do bunch of sidequest and gigs. I like that it gives you the freedom of declining unlike other games where you decline and some NPC will force you to continue and you're locked with having to play it

Any city dweller from Night City with his Balls in the right place, would have left Myers to rot in that dump, in payment for trying to invade it, 7 years earlier through that same place. Good decision, V.

The nomad... well, a little "weakeness" in the plot XD), and also mentions it when talking to Rogue about Hellman's VA. V says that "saw old models during the war". That war was the Myers war.
The Way Myers treat her lifesaver in the end is funny, it's only worth 5k Eddies.... picking up a random T5 weapons at that point gave you more money...

yeah but you cant get into dogtown then. Doing the myers line and then dumping her is for players that want to get into the new district and its unlockables but dont want to do the main campaign
He's pragmatic enough to know that helping Myers is a likely way of getting help. By that point you're already invested, and while he doesn't want you to become a bootlicker for them, he still understands that they might be able to help.

It only locks out of the main story and a couple of gigs, The only weapon you miss out on is 'Your Majesty, the silenced recover and face plate thing, and the ending-specific weapons, which are overrated IMO and not worth the pain. Most of the other stuff which is worth anything can still be gotten. Play through it once to get the Achievements but then just pick this.

You have to understand how lazy and petty some modern devs are. Bethesda did the same with Fallout 4. Their garbage mom/dad main character and lack of roleplaying got criticized. Some people said "why cant I play as a raider in a fallout game?" Bethesda released a theme park DLC where all you can do is be a raider faction. Your only option as a good guy? Kill everyone and end 80-90% of the dlc. Pure lazy. People said this DLC took inspiration from Escape from New York - should have been the option to screw over them all. Songbird, Reed and Myers. Replicating Escape from New Yorks ending would have been truly badass. You dont "win" but you make sure everyone else loses.
