Great stuff. Love the narration and beautiful scenery. I have a suggestion to make. I'm 4:07 into the video and I still don't know what the motorcycle looks like. Perhaps it would be nice to spend some time showing the motorcycle before jumping into the review? I'm really interested to see how that front end looks!

Nice review looks good, but i dont get people wanting to see these bikes in serious off road situation,,95% of bikes like this will be used for average dirt and touring,,if you want good off road bike go buy a 300cc ,,in Australia this bike will be north of 25,000au dollars not many people spend that much to use them as a dirt toy.

Correct. I have watched so many of these reviews, and most of them shouldn't even be considered valid. Most people just want a comfortable highway bike. I would venture a guess than 99% of most people's riding is commuting in traffic, and driving on the highway. Even if you go off road a lot, you have to spend a great deal of time on the interstate highway at 80mph. Wind protection, engine smoothness, and the engine RPM's at cruise are way more important than handling sharp rocks at 120mph in the desert. I've seen reviews that said the Pan America Harley wasn't as good as the KTM, because the KTM did better in the mud. Huh? The people doing these reviews have access to roads that most people don't, and they have decades of racing or professional experience, which most people don't. The average consumer is totally different than the people doing these reviews.

A major complaint I have. And I'm on a mission to make sure this problem gets solved NOW. The motorcycle companies are not putting a proper overdrive gear on their motorcycles. And for some INSANE reason, the motorcycle reviews praise these huge adventure bikes for having no overdrive gear, and screaming at super high RPM at 70mph. As if you should pay $22,000 for a motorcycle and then have the engine stuck in low gear down the highway, destroying the engine FOR NO REASON, just because they don't want to give people proper gear ratios for the highway. Why do modern street bikes have the same gear ratios as a motocross bike?

Yeah, good off road bikes are often singles. I’ll be using mine for commuting, but also big trips through our outback. Think Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track towards Uluru etc. then there’s the Husky Trek. In 2022, it was open to 701’s and 901’s, so there’s that as well. Bear in mind, I don’t own a car, whereas often the people that won’t take this off road much, is that it’s a toy that they fawn over, as they have plenty of money and love to keep it pristine. I’m not that precious😂

@@m.l.d.532 950 Adventure at 10,000 miles. I wrote the bike off at almost 20,000 so I suspect it was about to fail again. The 690 SMR and Husqvarna 701 SM also are noted for failing. I still think KTMs are great bikes, though. For part of the year I live in Thailand, where I ride a 390 Duke. Great bike, faultless so far at 20,000 km. The clutch has been okay, too, but it is cable actuated.

Too bad that the only tires listed in the booklet have speed code V (240 km / h) and there are no alternative tires ... (it is difficult to find something less road with code higher than Q or at most H). Husquarna (ktm) made the same mistake that Honda made with the Africa twin just released (which he remedied with the clearance before ... for those who want to argue with the Civil Motorizations ... and with the update of the booklet then). This information that almost never gives anyone is that you discover only after buying the bike

Sorry, that bike is not for me. Like the KTM bikes, too ratty around the edges. I cancelled my HD Pan America order and I am trading my loaded 2020 Triumph XCX for the new 2022 Tiger Rally Explorer. I will re-order the Pan Am in the spring.

You say ratty around the edges and then say you'll buy a HD in the spring? The king of rough around the edges! 800 lb. All the gas is high above the huge motor, you'll need a crane fallowing you around in case you lay it over! Now that's an adventure!!
