My dad had a gambling problem and he literally lost everything we had. House went into foreclosure, put liens on the cars. He even drained my inheritance before i turned 18 and could get it. Idk how many times he bet his last dollar and ran out of gas on the way home from the casino. He ended up in prison on unrelated charges and my poor mother was doing everything she could to keep a roof over our heads. My sister is a mental case with bpd, threated her life when she didnt get her way, was violent and mentally abusive to the only people that helped her and is a leech in general. Thru all of this i dropped the ball and got addicted to heroin so i was off doing my own thing. I didn't realize how traumatic my dads gambling was until way later. Our lives wouldnt have been so shitty if he didn't do all that, it really started an uncontrollable fire that burned our entire family. When they say addiction wrecks the entire family and not just the addict its really true.
My family lost everything to drugs and I even walked that path after swearing I never would. Whether it’s gambling, drugs, or even attention it’s an addiction thing. I’m sorry that happened. Hopefully you can rise from the ashes and have a good life. It’s gonna take a lot of hard work because I’m right there with ya. Nothing was ever handed to me.

Last summer a huge opportunity in the industry I want to be in slipped through my fingers and so all year I’ve been working at a grocery store. I cried a lot the first week or so and my managers name is Debbie, and she also sucks… oh and ‘hey there Delilah plays EVERY DAY… Nadav has live my current life

nadavs vons story reminds me of my buddy luke that ive worked with at lots of temp jobs but he would get sick of the jobs and just sneak off to the bathroom and drink beers and sometimes liquor ....longstory boring he used to work at goodwill and got extra drunk on vodka but they smelled it and he decided to quit and leave and they called the police and they caught up to him and he got his 2nd dui and blew a .2 something since he drank almost a whole 5th of vodka
