  • Starting at the Silent Valley carpark, Alyn walks across the dam up Slievenagloch seeing stunning views up the valley to Ben Crom. He carries on down the other side of the mountain to walk Banns road to Loughshannagh before returning through the gap between Slievenagloch and Slievenagore.

Alyn, cool to see all that bog being put to good use🐸😊 Slievenaglogh is a cool viewpoint and often overlooked I would say. Banns Road to Lough Shannagh is a cool one too👍 A good day in the Mournes😊 Unexpected rain is okay when it comes right at the end of the walk🌧😊

So much frogspawn Gerry. So many frogs. And it was a pretty cold day. Great to see it.
This was a great wee walk. And you're absolutely right, the view is beautiful. The Banns Road stretch was stunning with all the mountains sporting that goldy colouring. Lovely time to be in the mountains.

Another nice walk Alyn, nearly perfect timing with the 🌧️ another ten minutes and you would probably been in the car😂 Love lough Shannagh, one of my favourite spots in the Mournes, looks like you had it to yourself as well, class. Like the wee coming up thing, great stuff. 🐸

A great walk man. Was a wee mountain with a big challenge. That rocky side is so good. Tough but good. I wasn't too disappointed in the weather, I really wasn't that far from the van at that point and it had been such a great day up to then.
The lough was so beautiful and yeah no one else around except for group of walkers on the top of Doan. I did feel as if I was bein watched ha ha ha 😂
